Excellent lunch on a Saturday afternoon, far more civilised than the surrounding eateries

While we didn’t initially plan to go here, we definitely don’t regret it. It was probably the best service we had experienced so far in town, with fair prices (considering this is Switzerland) and great food with good presentation. Overall an amazing experience. Although there was suddenly a lunch rush and a lot of business looking people came (the restaurant eventually became full!) so it was a bit noisy, but it didn’t bother us too much, it is a restaurant after all! Great central location as well, and they seemed to have options to dine outside in the sunny weather if one wanted to :))

Always an institution for fish! The service is smiling and efficient but because there is a but with the tartare the quantity of fries was really poor (go 20 hrs maximum), be careful please!!! 37 chf per potato is worth gold to you? Go to Lipp to compare….

A known address mr. And where we go from time to time mr. But frankly with an addition of practically 400chf. We note that Paris Brest tastes like almonds rather than hazelnuts 🤦🏻‍♀️ We make the remark but nothing, no return… In short, a company that does business, it’s a shame not to listen…. They are more about tourist than native people….

It's not a restaurant, it's a factory. Very, very loud. Your neighbors' table is 10cm away. Hello privacy. The mussels were bland and no flavor for the modest sum of 33.00. On the other hand, the fries were good. Waited a very long time before being cleared and being able to order a coffee. It's more fun to set new tables for the next customers. Very bad experience

Perfect meal from start to finish, too bad we were a little crowded: small tables close to each other.

The seafood meeting in a unique setting the professional and friendly servers we went to eat the mussels disappointment the tiny mussels I don't understand the chef for putting these mussels in the kitchen the quality was not up to par. but the price yes

Very lovely atmosphere and attentive, helpful staff. A colleague and I were so jetlagged coming here for a cozy Sunday meal and it was delightful. We both ordered dessert, since it seemed everyone in the resto was doing it, and that dessert was probably the best thing I ate in Geneva.

CAFE du CENTRE is a place where you can always find warmth on a cold winter day in Geneva. I recommend it to everyone. Their presentations are simply amazing...!!!

Historic café, unchanged for years, but the quality is still there.

Right in the centre of tGeneva at 2 minutes walk from the lake and a large public car park. The atmosphere is like a typical french Brasserie with a wide choice of menu. The restaurant was really busy on saturday lunchtime, but we were served quickly and the food was delicious and well presented. The service was excellent. A great discovery. I will be coming back.

We had oysters, escargots, and the beef tartare. The beef tartare was delicious, highly recommended. It was a busy afternoon and service was a bit slower but an overall good experience

Today morning I went with my family to have breakfast and I asked for table for 4 ad the waiter was rude replying back no table and go. By the way the restaurant tables was vacant.

Magnificent place, but the champagne per glass for the aperitif is not at all up to par, it looks like old juice and too expensive. Damage

We went to dinner after the Revue, of which the Café du Center is a sponsor; we were going to go to Lipp’s, but we thought “why not? ", It's been a long time; and not for the 12% discount! Great evil has overtaken us. Once seated, we are told that it will be a live dish, it is not possible to have a starter and a main course to follow because the kitchen closes in 10 minutes! It was 10:30 p.m. and the restaurant is supposed to close at midnight. I make the remark to the waiter, who suddenly makes a face throughout the service. The food was ok but nothing great; wine, as long as it’s local, it’s fine. Foreigners are expensive. The tablecloth was dirty (really very dirty!) and the toilets, let's not talk about it! In short, for a restaurant I used to go to when I was a child, a huge disappointment! Average kitchen, lousy service and cleanliness. Of course it's not expensive, but cheap is always too expensive, as the adage goes. I will remain faithful to safer values, like the Lipp brewery for this type of establishment.

Unfortunately greatly overrated place and food. I hope we were unlucky but the food was completely tasteless. Definitely not worth the money. We left after 40 minutes and didn't finish eating. The waiters didn't even ask if everything was ok. Sad!

The worst experience of my life. Was traumatized for a long while even after the event. Swiss hospitality at its worst. Don’t sit you properly and give you worst seats and if you insist on a better table while is empty the waiter will take revenge. Never saw anything like this. It’s an obvious choice for tourists because of location which is central but the staff behaviors is beyond …selective and rude ….in another occasion even when we had reservation made us wait outside in freezing cold ! Never ever again ….

Hello to the entire Café du Center team! A superb setting! located in old Geneva, you feel good there. The waiter was pleasant, but not very smiling, which is a shame... The dishes are good, well seasoned, the quantity is well measured, the plates are well presented. We feel that it is tastefully prepared, worthy of dishes from a big city! However, the prices are above normal, but it's Geneva so you shouldn't panic too much. It's an expensive city. Wishing you a good day and see you soon in Geneva :-)

A fisherman's pot that has nothing to envy of Marseille bouillabaisse. Attentive servers and a typical setting. What more?

Background: We are Americans who have struggled to grasp the language, but ended up in Geneva for part of our honeymoon. We stopped here for lunch and left pleasantly surprised. Staff was very accommodating with the language barrier on our end, and portions were large by American standards. I’m a pretty non-adventurous eater and the braised pork shank was delicious - tender and the perfect flavor. I’m still thinking about it days later.

3 of us ate there this afternoon and were in a bit of a hurry. Luckily, there weren't many customers (1:20 p.m.). The service was quick. The server was pleasant and with a touch of humor. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. We will come back to have a good time, simple and effective.

Like the authentic mushroom soup & lobster & risotto. Little disappointed with the muscles as it was too creamy. Happy with the excellent service from an experienced waiter who has a good sense of humour :)

If you want ok food pretending to be something else this is the place. Also do not expect service to be existent. One of the poorest experiences in Geneve.

Good fresh food but let down by the service for getting the bill. Asked five times to four different waiters and took 30 minutes to get someone interested to pay by card. Not acceptable! Next time I will come and eat and leave the cash on table since the wait staff are poorly trained and management does not care about meeting basic standards. The food however is actually good, we only had raw seafood and it was very fresh and delicious. Not sure about cooked food. Didn't try unfortunately. Also their QR code link for English menu does not work, it's a broken link. We needed to Google their English menu 🙄

I recently dined at Cafe Du Center in the heart of Old Town, and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the king prawns dish, while my wife opted for the fillet. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the flavors were spot on. The location is ideal, with outdoor seating right in the middle of the charming square. Overall, a great dining experience, earning it a well-deserved 4 stars.

Today I had the worst and most unprofessional service ever. I was ignored and waited for service while customers who came after me were served. I had my hand up in the air and 2 staf members were serving the tables to my right and left and totally ignoring me. When I talked to the gentleman he said “your table is not in my service area” then he put his hand on me and pushed me. I still can’t believe that he put his hand on me and pushed me . Not acceptable, not professional, and simply rude and aggressive.

This Central de Geneve restaurant which should be one of the flagships of the city center is very disappointing, a tomato mozzarella which would not have gone out of place at McDonald's, a very ordinary and unambitious menu, a service which struggles to meet the challenge of a ordinary kitchen Can definitely do much better especially since the only tasty thing is the prices!

Ordered RISTTO HOMARD &the lobster on it was absolutely uncooked and I return desh back ,, they just want to get rid off the remaining food not as it shows in list .

It's a very good place to eat. There are many restaurants, so it's possible to choose any kind of food. They are located in the middle of the city. All the restaurants are always busy. But the waiting time is not long. The food is really good.

It was the most delicious restaurant I had during my trip. All the dishes were delicious and the service was excellent, especially the waiter Christfull. He was helpful and recommended food for you. He was welcoming and explained each item. Thank you, Christfull.

This is one of my favorite gems in the center of Geneva! The food is good quality, but the service is even better! And the best part is that it is open full day on, which is quite rare in Geneva! I recomend it if you like me arrive around Geneva always at out of ordinary hours of the day!

Open 7 days a week in Geneva… If you are looking for seafood that’s why you are reading this review. Look nowhere else and don’t waste time for another place in central Geneva. This is it… fruits off the sea with best service and cosy ambiance, you will go again and again. Lobster, crab, prawns, cod, sea bass, oysters and snails. Beef, burger and lot more… just go and try what eu you feel like. You can’t make a mistake. Service is amazing and good spacious restaurant. Enjoy .. don’t forget to say thank you to me😀

Wonderful dining experience and food was very good

The waiter was rude and racist, by all means as soon as he understood I wasn’t speaking French he change his behaviour and came to the table just to take the order and then left, brought the food and didn’t even came back to ask how the food was. In fact I didn’t enjoy and was another waiter, Carlos, which I appreciate very much, to ask me why I left my food. Dessert time, I said we had already looked at the English menu and there was nothing else we wanted, he literally throw the menu in front of me at the table. As the tables were all outside and one near the other I could see that he kept approaching often tables with local people and careless of touristic ones. We paid the full bill and left, not felt welcomed at all! Not recommend!!

Well located but it's no longer what it was impossible to eat seafood (5 times more expensive than in neighboring France.) they removed the all-inclusive menu, enjoy the good weather, terrace and tourist, fresh perch fillet from Poland 39chf

Got a table past 10:30pm for their famous chocolate cake dessert, and omg this was just so delish, the cream puffs were good but loved the cake! The staff was friendly and served us well. Must try their cake for sure and highly recommend that.

It's a classic for us. The food itself is not The Best Ever, but it's a great spot for people watching. They have some dishes that are great, like the Barr fish cooked in salt! But my burger was "Meh" .... if you want to see the hussle and busle of Geneva life and lots of tourists, this is a great place to be.

Had filet de perches and it was really good. My husband's bouillabaisse type soup was good too. The kids menu was ok. Strawberries weren't sweet. Great terrace for eating and the service was friendly and efficient. FYI lots of birds flying around. Hold on to your bread!

I do not recommend at all. The products are not fresh. The bread was frozen, and the burger steak was overcooked (from the sole). So an overpriced burger is disappointing. To flee.

Not worth it for breakfast. Expensive for just regular food. Waiters weren’t that friendly. Don’t waste your time coming for breakfast. Big mistake. Nice area however.

Very delicious food. I recommend the lobster risotto, seabass fillet and the salmon. For the dessert i liked the profiterole.

Delicious food seabass, lobster and prawns risotto and chicken burger were all good. Don’t disappoint the waiters by not finishing your food though. Love the atmosphere and the risotto comes with a bird to share. Will definitely come back. لذيذ يستاهل التجربة.

We had a very nice dinner in this restaurant. The food was relatively good, as well as the service (and fast). The location is superb. Price is not cheap but in line with Geneva's standards.

After wandering around Geneva in the early hours of the morning, we stopped for breakfast in a cozy cafe. We were in a very good mood because my daughter was celebrating her birthday. It was a nice start to the day.

Good morning I discovered a very beautiful brasserie on a magnificent terrace where the welcome is warm, a very efficient and very attentive service (thank you Monsieur Corse) At this we tasted delicious fish dishes washed down with a very very tasty Sancerre. I'll be back soon. Awesome..Popov..

I didn't expect it to be so good, I ate there since it was very late at night and it was one of the few that was still open. They treated us very well, quickly and kindly. The food was delicious, they had good variety and spectacular flavor. On the downside, like everything in Geneva, it is expensive, but that is to be expected if you visit Switzerland. I recommend it 100%, it is very well located to visit the center and nearby attractions

Very good food especially the salads! We had the watermelon - feta and king prawn salad, both were amazing. The fish was not what we expected. The service was too slow.

It’s okaaaay. Classic Geneva style restaurant. Nothing too exciting. Summer time terrace is beautiful and worth it. The food is good, the service is ok, it will depend on who is the waiter. Some are friendly while others are arrogant. In winter, the indoors bit is a bit lame.

Amazing address in Geneva, earned its name for a good reason! Their location is second to none and the service staff is extremely professional and welcoming. The menu is very big and features a lot of fresh seafood options to choose from. It is not the cheapest but the quality far outweighs the price tag and I would definitely recommend this amazing local institution to anyone! Book in advance as they are always fully booked!

Impeccable service, very good cuisine, a great terrace we had an excellent time

We were recommended to this restaurant by hotel’s staff. The Oysters were very fresh. Foods overall was good especially Prawn and Lobster Risotto. Fish dish was just fine because we just had very good fish-dish lunch. The restaurant was packed with inadequate staffs serving. Price was ok.

This restaurant can provide oysters all year round. The Gillardeau N3 recommended by the waiter was very fresh, so the three of us ordered 24 oysters.
