Café Elena in Zürich

Very nice atmosphere. Large and fine offer. Everything is freshly prepared. The drink prices are a bit too expensive. Unfortunately, or The service staff doesn't understand German.

It initially seemed like those instagram places with below average service and menu, but I was VERY VERY positively surprised

It did not disappoint and very well worth the extra mile walk and wait until it opened on a Sunday morning. I had the Benedict and it was delicious- the cappuccino of course pairs well with it. A short walk from the mail Zurich station.

Really good place to hang out and chill ! The aesthetic is very pretty, the people there are very nice, I didn't try the food but got a smoothie which was very good and a white mocha coffee which disapointed me a little in the sense that for a white mocha I couldn't really taste the white chocolate at all... But the coffee was very good nonetheless ! Overall a very good place, would recommend !

The place is cozy. The breakfast was perfect taste, portion, presentation and serving time. Got the French toast and it was light and nice. They are flexible with customizing your dish so don’t be shy to remove or add!

Pink roses for instagram are not enough for more stars. I came there one afternoon,there was not enough light inside.the glass of the windows and entrance door needs a nice cleaning and a bit of shining effect.Smoothie was ok but doesn’t seem to fresh for me. This place has a good potential but I think they should take more care about detalis,cleaning and service(was a bit slow)

A place good for IG photos and posing predominantly. I was disappointed to get a refusal to toast my bread, not to mention the lack of butter with the Farmers breakfast. Food is good, but awfully slow. Also £2 for a glass of tap water - diabolical.

The worst We ordered egg Benedict which I didn’t like the bread was very hard We also ordered french toast and the taste of egg was very clear We ask them to give us the coffee in a cup to go and they charge us for the cups😂

I loved the pancakes here, they were so far the best I have tried! I've had the pink chocolate as well, it is actually white chocolate and so it has no chocolate taste but it wasn't too sweet.

Totally overrated... Value for money is not right at all. Tea and pieces of bread are charged extra?! That's how hard it is to have a "Turkish breakfast" for 35 francs...

We stopped by Café Elena one afternoon during the week. The restaurant stands out above all because of its special decor (a la Instagram). The location of the restaurant is great – close to the main train station, the Central and directly on the Limmat. We had hot chocolate and a cappuccino. Both drinks were good - but the service and circumstances were bad. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, the staff didn't take the order for a long time. Later, the café received a delivery of drinks and food and instead of holding the door open and helping the delivery person, the staff disappeared and the door was left open, so that the cold came in non-stop in winter temperatures. The staff then “disappeared” for a long time and were later busy unpacking and putting away the delivery, which meant that we had to ask for the invoice several times. Overall, a rather negative experience and perhaps a nice photo spot for Instagram fans, but nothing more.

One of the best café’s I have ever visited. Great food, staff and atmosphere! Would highly recommend and will come back if we ever come back to Zurich! 10/10

No long waiting (Saturdays 11 a.m. for two), the menu is varied and the portions were appropriate for the prices (you are still in Zurich city center, the price calculation is accordingly). The mocha is highly recommended, as are the smoothies.

The place is clean and tidy, the dishes are delicious and delicious, and the coffee tastes excellent 👌🏻

Come here if you want to pretend like you have an interesting life. Don’t come if you value your money. The food is decent tho.

Fantastic cafe, food was delicious and coffee was great! Beautifully presented and a great atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and helpful, highly recommend!

Avoid this restaurant. Everything was ridiculously overpriced, and the quality was poor. We got Elena’s sandwich and the Nutella pancake (one for 19 francs). The egg on the breakfast sandwich was basically inedible, and the bagel was awful and dry. The pancake was dry, the strawberries and bananas were nice, but that was the only redeeming factor. We spent 51 francs for the two dishes, a cappuccino, and a latte. The coffee was also horrible. However, the waitress was friendly, but besides that, I don’t have anything positive to say.

Entering this café felt a bit like walking into an Instagram photoshoot! Check out all the roses in other photos. Whilst the food was a little pricey, and their interpretation of an English Breakfast bagel was... unique, it was all delicious. It's pretty popular, so I'd recommend coming here for breakfast not brunch. The Turkish coffee was excellent.

We had to wait in front of the restaurant because it was full and you cannot do reservations but it was totally worth it as the food tasted amazing. It has great variety in terms of food and the coffee also tastes incredible and have alternative milks, coconut included. Would totally recommend a visit.

The food had no taste, it was bland not even enough salt. I got an avocado bagel and there was barely any spread of avocado with cream cheese that didn't even have a taste! Expensive for no reason I walked out hungry. The pink hot chocolate was basically boiled milk. Save your money.

Open daily 9h-17h serving its aesthetically pleasing dishes: sweet “Acai bowls” (17CHF) topped with a Magnum Ice Cream (+4CHF), Elena French Toast served with Strawberries, Maple Syrup and Butter (22CHF) and a constellation of super tasteful 19 CHF Pancakes offerings such as “Dream Team” (Strawberry, Nutella and Banana) or “Lady America” (Blueberries, Whipped Cream and Pecans) with a fashionable “Chanel” logo impressed with powdered sugar on the wooden board to glamourize your tik tok or insta stories! Sweet Breakfast (Bread basket, butter, jam, cold cuts and fruits, Bircher muesli, Greek yogurt; 27 CHF). Following up with salty dishes Elena serves amongst others its “Lieblingsbagel” (Cream cheese, guacamole, poached egg, served with garnish & nachos; 19 CHF) and the Burrito Chilli con Carne Breakfast (Two filled burritos with scrambled eggs, tomatoes, spring onions, peppers gratinated with cheddar cheese served with chilli con carne and three toppings: guaccamole, sour cream and homemade salsa; 35CHF). N.B. No reservations so make sure to be mindful during peak hours and weekends. Elena serves a variety of vegetarian and vegan alternatives and all of its meat products are Halal. In conclusion: Elena is the ultimate tasteful & fashionable brunch experience in Zurich!

This is a very nice cafe. It is decorated with roses on the walls and feminine touches. Had pink hot chocolate and french toast and fruit. Napkins are pink, and silverware is in gold. Many different brunch/breakfast items. Different from the Swiss food in the area. Food and service is good.

One of the best and also most expensive breakfasts in Zurich. Here you can find everything your heart desires, bagles, pancakes, classic breakfasts, Turkish breakfasts. The food is of high quality and the coffee is amazing. The interior of the cafe is exceptional and unique. The service was friendly and attentive.

Was worried about service due to other reviews, but decided to go anyways. The food was fantastic and the service was on point - 0 issues, and it was a little busy. We loved it and would recommend to others.

🌟🌟 ALL HALAL ♥️♥️ Went there Mon morning for brunch. No reservations needed at all ✅ Met up with a friend and we gave our order and received fabulous food. We sat there for 4.5 hours chitchatting as the chairs were comfy, the place was beautiful to look at and the servers there never bothered us at all. The food was really tasty and due to it being halal I’d definitely go back to try more things on the menu!

Unacceptable!!!! This is the 2nd time that we have traveled from Friborg to go to this place and both times the waitress did not let us in because the kitchen was closed at 4:45 p.m.!!!! On the site it says 6:00 p.m. They didn't even let us have a drink. I would never go back there again. In addition, the waiters/waitresses are absolutely not friendly. I strongly advise against it.

Went there recently for a ladies brunch (I got the French toast and a homemade ice tea) and we loved the food, the atmosphere was very lively, but the service was rather slow - waited quite a while for the food to be served and the bill never arrived, despite asking several times for it, we had to eventually go to the till to pay. Hence why I’m giving an overall 3 star, as the service could be improved.

I came at 1:00 on a Friday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Cute place.

Be prepared to queue for about 10-30 minutes during weekend brunch time. Recommended to come after 12pm. Service is quite fast. There is no menu book; need to scan the QR code to view the menu. Having the halal logo in the menu really helps me to decide on what to eat. Everything i ordered taste delicious. Short walk from Zurich HB. Centrally located.

I recently had the opportunity to have brunch in this restaurant located near the train station, and I must say that the place is absolutely magnificent (for fans of the color pink 😂). However, it is important to note that the restaurant is often very busy, which may result in a slightly longer wait time than expected. The food served is delicious, but there is a small catch regarding the pancakes. I ordered the "Dream Team" and was a little disappointed by the quantity, as I only received one pancake for 19 francs. However, taste-wise it was amazing, so it might be worth the expense for some. The general atmosphere of the place is very pleasant. However, the tables are a little crowded, which can make group dining a little less comfortable.

Foods are ok. Very nice decoration. A bit spicy but if you for photos, it’s ok. But the lightings inside kinda bad. No need for reservation.

A glamorous Instagram place with breakfast options, brunches and coffee. Perfect for meeting with friends and dates. A large selection of dishes that you want to photograph. Very nice and pleasant waiters who take care of visitors. The cafe is a bit expensive. Otherwise, I liked everything very much.

It wants to be an Instagram spot, but it is poorly maintained, the cups were broken and the plates were also broken. Normal prices but if you want something “pink” you pay two or three euros more

Just a few minutes from Zurich BF. You will immediately be greeted in a very friendly manner in the beautifully designed café. There are also many Instagram photo options there. The food is something special because there are many pink options such as the pink latte macchiato or pine hummus etc. There is also a very large menu with something for every taste. The food comes quickly and is always beautifully prepared. I always enjoy coming here.

If it’s for the beautiful wall, go for it I ordered toast at that time, and there was very little fruit (there were only about 3 blueberries and 1 strawberry in total? Oh my god, the more I ate, the sadder it became. It was so little. In the photos you see, the blueberries were still cut in half... ), won’t visit again, don’t even consider it

Everything was just perfect! The staff are so freaking and nice, i hope all the people are the same. I would come here everyday.

I inquired with the waitress before placing my order, showing her a picture, to confirm if the pancakes were Dutch Baby Pancakes. She assured me that they were, but when they were served, they turned out to be regular pancakes. I requested for the pancakes to be taken back and asked if I could have something else as it was not what I had ordered. Despite her initial assurance, the waitress insisted that I still had to pay for the $19 pancake. I escalated the issue to the manager, who acknowledged that the waitress had mistakenly believed it was the same thing, but ultimately blamed me for the confusion. Furthermore, the pancake batter was excessively sweet and dry in texture. Considering the quality and portion size, this establishment is overpriced. Paying $29 for a single egg with one chicken sausage seems unreasonable. The worst part was the owner was excessively rude and said I was making a scene because I was asking him questions. Looks like on Apple Maps, Trip Advisor reviews many other people have complained about the owner’s rude behavior. Additionally, I am curious about the legality of using the Coco Chanel symbol on their cutting boards.
