Café Presse Club in Zürich

The IT place, definitely worth a visit! However, the menu and food offerings occasionally need to be worked on. The staff also needs to smile more ;-) Life is beautiful :D Many kind regards

Staff totally unfriendly and uncaring. The answer to every question was simply no, the staff didn't really speak German or English.

I've been going to the milk cafe for years now, but unfortunately the service is no longer friendly :-(

In the afternoon we spontaneously came across the café in a great location, right on the Münsterhof. But you shouldn't let the situation fool you. The menu in English in a German-speaking city and the staff only understood us in English and therefore misunderstood the order.

A lovely place with amazing coffee. The way that they make the drinks is very unique, one of the best coffees I’ve had in Zürich. The staff was very polite and the atmosphere overall really pleasing. Plus a very nice view of the square!

Service and food unfortunately subpar. Tartare was still frozen inside, which the waiter confirmed. Instead of apologizing, the boss came out and shouted that she was just trying to sneak a free meal. The tartare would be made fresh daily, which was pretty ridiculous considering the pieces were frozen. Probably felt caught. It's a shame about the beautiful location. Highly recommended for fans of frozen tartare and insults.

Worst experience ever. My visit was marred by the aggressive behavior of the owner. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was tense, and the owner's confrontational attitude was off-putting. It's disheartening when a simple coffee experience is overshadowed by unnecessary hostility.

The place is very sweet but the employees are very sullen. There is no need to sit.

I ordered a toast and I only heard fights between the waitress and bad treats to customers (the toast never came). Textually "go take your coffee to the church". Such and agressive situation I lived, I was scared to pay. Never coming back. To be fair the place is really cool, I hope it get new owners:)

Beautiful little cafe with very nice decoration, friendly staff, good coffee and the chocolate cake is excellent. The prices are reasonable.

Perfect for people watching on the weekend right next to Fraumünster, tables are not too close together so privacy is guaranteed. Quite expensive, small cappuccino 6.50 Fr. but very friendly service and nice atmosphere, especially outside. Quite tight inside.

As a mother, I actually just wanted to take a little break with my little one and have a cappuccino. The waitress accepted my request, but never brought the cappuccino...even though she was on the terrace again and couldn't have forgotten me. Very special...

The Café Presse Club in the Münsterhof meets all expectations when it comes to service, drinks and food! At this point I would especially like to thank the managing director, Milan. As a guest, you immediately feel at home after being welcomed! Thank you very much for that and see you next time!

Best sunny location with a view of the Fraumünster and the square. The staff is very attentive, courteous and friendly. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The homemade cakes rounded off our lunch. The fact that we sometimes had to speak English to the staff didn't stress us out, we live in 2023 and are open. We'll definitely come back.

Definitely recommendable! Went here with a group of six for lunch a few weeks ago while in Zürich and they had everything and more we hoped for - a table for, tasty foods, quick service, fresh ingredients, very kind and helpful staff, and clean sanitary facilities. When it started pouring from out of nowhere, both staff and visitors helped each other for coverage. Great atmosphere, would like to return here if in the area again!

Oh my goodness l! The foods are amazing!!! I literally have the best tomato 🍅 soup in the world! The staffs are so nice and sweet. Their beautiful smiles show they just love their jobs and help people. My son and husband got so in love with their draft beers. Both of my son and daughter just enjoyed their pasta and omelette very much with their fresh sprinkle parmesan cheese.

“There is no breakfast!” This was the answer from the bad-tempered waitress at nine in the morning. But at the table next door there seems to be some as if by magic. As a managing director, I would be concerned about employees who dislike their job so much and wear AirPods in their ears while working. It doesn't work at all!

very cute cafe. I would recommend to go here for a chill cafe break but you can also get some food at here. Its a bit pricey but the coffee is also very good. The employees were kind and friendly. Nice place to take a break. It's located at a chill courner in the oldtown of Zürich. There are many decorations with flowers and the seats are cozy. I would recommend to sit outside. If you prefer to go inside, there are tiny tables inside as well.

Wonderful friendly restaurant with a great menu, very fresh food and generous portions at a good price.

We were there for lunch and chose a bottle of wine from the menu. The waitress said that they didn't have this wine in their range, but had another one that wasn't listed and was much more expensive. Then took three glasses of red wine, which were undrinkable. Sour and watery. The food didn't taste good and the price/performance ratio wasn't right. Never again!!

Very unfriendly atmosphere and awful service - but the food was good

We showed friends from abroad the city of Zurich and stopped at the Café Presse Club. We and our friends found it very condescending that the service staff no longer spoke German and was arrogant and in a bad mood. We were consistently only served in English.

Stopped by just after opening on a cool Sunday morning. So quiet and peaceful. It opens to the courtyard of the church. I had a mocha and apricot pie, which is like a dense cobbler. Very good! I sat with maybe 4 other people who were reading the paper. Not being from Switzerland this was an absolutely fantastic experience if you like peaceful mornings. With blue skies, it was an excellent place to start the day! The staff did not speak English but were very friendly and helpful. Cost was reasonable.

It is outrageous if the service staff doesn't understand German. I then paid with a 50 note and the lady first claimed that I should have paid with a 20 note. Two coffees and croissants, but not so soon!

We ate here on Easter Sunday in Zurich and it was magical. We stayed at the near Seidenhoff Hotel which was a few minute walk away. The church in front of us was built the 1700s and the atmosphere is just so relaxing. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and welcoming. It's a great square and a great taste of historical Zurich.

We were always big fans of the café, but unfortunately the service is now just bad. Doesn't speak any German, hardly any English, let alone the basics of operation. Hospitality and service has unfortunately been lost. It's a shame - it's a shame.

Funny coffee with its own atmosphere. We enjoyed an apricot cake and cappuccino indoors. Despite the hectic pace and the tight space, very friendly staff. Good selection of desserts.

Very bad service! Rudeness is very important here. The cake tasted rotten, you have to pay 5 minutes after ordering. This coffee is outrageous!

The waitress is rude and very discriminating. She never realized what service mind is. We didn't expect the best service but only nice welcoming. She seems like she is busy all the time and rude to us. We asked for bill after she finished serving another customer. She answered "wait" without looking or turning her face to us. At the same time she served another customer nicely. (european customer). We didn't want to think that because we are Asian but what she did made us feel this way. Anyway the waitress has an Asian face as well!!! For the taste of drink, it doesn't meet the standard.

Great location and friendly customer service. If you have the chance to spend a day in Zurich, I would definitely visit this cafe. The food is quite good and the prices are from 15 to 22 euros per plate

Nice spot for a coffee or drink, nice place to sit and watch life on the big square. I ordered a toast and a latte. The latte was the size of a double expresso, dissapointing. About 15 mins after I finished the latte (which took 30 seconds) my toast arrived. It was mostly just dry toast bread with a little bit inside. If I wasn't so hungry I would have left it. The staff's minds were in another place, not really noticing customers. I will not be back here.

Very easy to access. Very nice view. The food is very good and tasty. We were a big group and most of us got spaghetti. Water is very expensive indeed. The staff is very friendly.

The place is really good, exactly in the plaza of Zurich one minute from the central river but the cappuccino was awful..

Very reasonable prices for Zuirch. The ham and cheese omelette was large and yummy, and came with bread and a nice-sized salad

Well … the „coffee“ is a huge disappointment. Bitter. Milk overheated and foamed like in the 80. What’s left is a hot mess of bitter coffee. Can’t take that. What a mess. Meanwhile ViCafe is right next door delivering perfect coffee every single time. But they are closed today. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here.

Too expensive and the taste is not good

Outrageous ice cream prices. There was a sign outside with ice cream to go. Inside, in a dark corner, a small ice cream counter with no price. Of course, if I had known how much it would cost, I would have left straight away. A tiny scoop of mango ice cream, and I mean really small, costs 5 SFR!!!! An absolute disgrace. I later found out that the Italian sells the same Esi 500m away and there I get two huge balls for 5 SFR.

A smeared tube, a live mealworm under the glass and, to top it off, a hair in the orange slice of the Aperol spritz - that's the sad outcome of my visit. Really a shame about the beautiful place. I would have preferred to wait 5 minutes longer and get a clean drink. Apparently people are overwhelmed behind the counter or don't think much about hygiene.

Me and my girlfriend went there because we liked the location, and it seemed really nice inside as well. Little did we know what would happen next. We entered and waited to be noticed, which happened relatively fast. We sat inside and the waitress brought the menus. After some time she came back to check the Covid Certificate and then take the order. All good for the certificate, but when it came to ordering the unexpected happens. In the MIDDLE of saying what we were ordering she stopped paying attention to us, welcomed other people coming in and then started doing other things without even noticing we were left there without an order. We sat there for something like 5 minutes, looking at each other in disbelief, and looking at her going outside, taking other people orders and such. We left right when she came back from outside and the only thing she said was "Oh", like she suddenly realized what happened but didn't even care to apologize or something. Tourists are not welcome and we can only agree with negative reviews.
