We like coming to Café Roman. Great selection of ice cream/coups, there is something for every taste. Good coffee. The employees are always nice. On hectic/hot days you have to be a little patient if you want to pay, but as a guest I would rather have my ice cream served straight away than have it come to the table half melted, then this service will also be available to others guests before you can pay. Keep it up, we'll be back.

Huge selection of ice cream, difficult to decide on a coupe, the employee was very friendly and accommodating, hardly any waiting time. Since we were sitting outside there were people smoking at the other tables, which was very disturbing. But the café can't help it.

I surprised my friend Roman at breakfast in the café of the same name. Good service in a pleasant atmosphere. I have always known the café and it has always had a good reputation.

My little daughter (3.5 year old) accidentally dropped the coupe on the floor before she even started eating. We then simply asked for a single scoop of ice cream with chocolate sauce. We had to pay the full price for the broken coup + the single scoop of ice cream + the chocolate sauce! We've come here a lot so far, but from today on we'll definitely never come back and won't recommend it to anyone again!

Nice coffee shop where you can enjoy good coffee and ice cream. The ice cream menu is overwhelming and the ice creams are very fine. Service was very courteous and friendly.

The staff is really friendly and accommodating. It’s a different restaurant experience than what one may expect in the US in that people openly smoke in the restaurant. The Swiss in general smoke a lot comparatively.

The only problem: Huge selection of coupes - really spoiled for choice... ‼️😜😁👍I also think the large selection of reading material is great. 👏Unfortunately, when the weather is sunny, smokers are extremely unpleasant and reduce the enjoyment enormously! The street noise in the background is the least of the evils..... The fact that the fruit in the ice cream sundae is presented with rotten peel (pineapple) can only be understood as a sign of maturity, if I want to put it in good faith... Something Unfortunately, disappointment is a given here..... ;-) - - -> > My recommendation: only order ice cream - without "fresh" fruit, then the quality is assured!

Unfortunately, most guests don't think much of wearing a mask when they come into the restaurant, let alone when they go to the toilet in the restaurant. A check by the police or health department would be urgently needed. A visit is not recommended.

Prices go higher for performance. Service only gets worse and worse with stress and long waiting times. The only positive thing about ice cream is the ice cream. It's a shame that it's not like it used to be.

Great selection of different types of ice cream and especially coupes, and there are also types that you unfortunately find less often in other places (e.g. cinnamon, apricot, etc.). The staff is very friendly and you don't have to wait too long. The only point of criticism would be that you sit outside very close to the street, which is quite busy, and of course you notice the noise. But at least it can be easily prevented if you sit indoors!

There is the largest selection of ice cream here. Very well-run, folksy café. As soon as the weather permits, you can also sit outside.

The Cafe Roman is very cozy both indoors and outdoors. The cafe is very, very clean with very nice and friendly staff. The cafe and cappuccino are very good☕🍵👍When I'm in Winterthur or nearby, I like to drink a cappucino with a fine Gipeli. Always happy and I can only recommend Cafe Roman.

If I want the service staff to sing along to every song on the radio, I go to the disco or the karaoke bar... it doesn't have to be that way

It is very clear to me that you pay for tap water, but when a gerant loudly explains to the employees in the office how and why, and the guest is allowed or has to listen, then yes... thoughts can also be free....

107 cups that are super good BUT open water 0.5 liters is filled into the carave from a 1.5 liter bottle. 1.5 liter bottle costs 1 Fr. in the store, 0.5 liters are sold here for 7.80 Fr. something like that is usury and for me a reason not to receive it anymore. A price increase of over 20 times from the purchase price to the sales price is simply not customer-friendly.

Today I had an ice cream again at Roman and, as always, it was very tasty and beautifully decorated... the staff is, as always, super friendly and attentive. I always really enjoy coming there. I just think the atmosphere with the swings is great. I can only recommend it to everyone :)

Formerly a top café meeting place. Getting old today. Somehow stopped. Used to be a good address. Seeing and being seen was popular back then. Lots of parking spaces right in front of the house. There are better locations for me today.
