Great restaurant, great atmosphere, highly recommended, keep it up.

Very good address for fine food in a beautiful, upscale atmosphere. Service is absolutely top class, many people can learn a lesson from that. Gastronomy is fun.

Enjoyed wonderful food, something for the eye and of course the palate. Very friendly people, also very child-friendly, just warm. Everything went perfectly from A to Z. We also enjoyed a very fine wine. The previous recessions have convinced us and we can also happily recommend the Candela restaurant to everyone. When we're back in SG, we'll be happy to come back👌🏼 February 2024. This year we went to Candela again as a family and once again enjoyed a wonderful evening with sensational food, very courteous service and a beautiful ambience. We look forward to further visits with you. Thank you very much.

From the welcome to the dessert we had a wonderful time! The dishes are excellent and the portions perfectly adapted! The staff is very friendly and warm! The decor was also very beautiful! The value for money is excellent, I recommend this location 100% if you are in the area! Thanks to the whole team and well done to the cooks!

The food is super tasty and perfectly seasoned, the meat is fried to perfection and the quality is really great. The service is friendly and does its job very well and seems very well trained. We recently had dinner with colleagues at the Candela restaurant on a Saturday evening. I made the table reservation a few weeks in advance and it went smoothly. There are plenty of parking garages nearby and the restaurant can also be easily reached by bus. We were warmly welcomed and escorted straight to our table upon our arrival. The service overall was very friendly and accommodating, even with a high number of guests, we didn't have to wait long! The food was really very tasty and was quickly prepared and delivered hot, there was really nothing to complain about here. The prices are rather moderate, but ok for the upscale restaurant and city, I'm happy to pay a little more for good quality!

Great service, super colorful & wonderfully fresh food, which led to an all-round great and enjoyable atmosphere. We would recommend the restaurant to everyone. The selection of dishes was particularly lovingly created for vegetarians/vegans, where you didn't have to compromise on taste at all. You could tell that the dishes were really thought through from the heart. The watermelon sashimi was MEGA! Top address!

We spent a cozy evening in the Candela restaurant in a family atmosphere. It had something for everyone. The ORGANIC meat from Demeter Hof Frohwies (sustainability with organic Demeter meat) convinced us all. The quality was excellent and the portions satisfied any hunger. The staff and service left nothing to be desired. Thank you very much and we'll be happy to come back.

Nice restaurant, a few steps from the center of San Gallo with ample parking (for a fee) almost next door. Large terrace. Nice and sober interior with enough space between one table and another. The food menu is extensive as is the choice of wines. Extremely friendly, attentive and attentive service. We were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner with our wedding party on June 3rd, 2023 in the “Wooden Chalet”. The first contact with Monika Gerster was so personable and uncomplicated, so it was clear to us that we wanted to end our big day at Candela. Our expectations were even exceeded! The food was sensational, the rooms were fantastic and the service staff was phenomenal. We were served so well and the staff were so passionate. It's great that Candela can count on such great employees. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests.

Main course first class, service professional and discreet and attentive. The salad bowl was unfortunately not presented in an attractive way, collapsed under the weight of the dressing that was too well-intentioned, and overall was too small and not fresh. Not nearly appropriate in relation to the price, which is far too high. Cheese variation consisted of 4 different types of cheese, which were cut very thinly and were therefore in no way appropriate for the price of 15.50! A scoop of sorbet for 9 Sfr. is actually a disgrace Given the poor price-performance ratio, the first visit will probably remain a one-off

One of the best culinary experiences in my life. The menu offers a great selection of locally sourced and organic food. Seasonal cuisine also seems to be very important at Candela. Half of the very inviting menu also contains vegetarian and vegan dishes - great love. The atmosphere was very romantic despite the tables being 100% occupied. The service is, as we say in Switzerland, "obe use"!!! We were treated very nicely and despite being very busy, we were relaxed and pampered all around. Thank you so much, dear team, for giving us such an unforgettable evening. We will be back definitely.

We had reserved a table for 5 p.m., there were two other guests there besides us, as it was still very early in the evening. When I made the reservation, I was asked by email whether we planned to stay the whole evening, probably in the hope that the table might be given away twice. Since 2 of the 5 people were well over 80 years old, I replied that out of consideration we probably wouldn't stay too long. We really didn't understand that we had to wait an hour for our food... The food was very tasty, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Nevertheless, we will hardly pay a visit again... It's a shame that despite previously explaining that we wouldn't be able to stay long, this couldn't be taken into account.

From the greeting to the service, the excellent food (beautifully presented on the plate), the stylish feel-good atmosphere to the farewell - everything was very professional! Be it for a business lunch at lunchtime or privately in the evening - a restaurant that you can recommend unconditionally.

We “just” wanted to have a drink there at around 5 p.m. Then it was said that it didn't work.

Went to the event venue today, as everyone knows, the interior can always be debated. The service was tip-top. The plate was cold, the salmon was well-cooked instead of translucent. Risotto with cream is a deadly sin, it was too salty as was the spinach. Maybe I was just unlucky. Emil Grisel

We went here with group of colleagues after class. The food is well presented and tasty. We had fried tofu and slightly grilled tuna. The tofu is crispy and tuna is well cooked! The price is slightly expensive but fair in Switzerland.

Nice restaurant, in the city center. To celebrate a special occasion, we reserved a table in advance at 6:30 p.m. for four people. The restaurant was busy this Saturday. We were greeted at 6:20 p.m. with a "Didn't you make a reservation until 7 p.m.?" Received. After this comment, I felt unsafe and checked the reservation again, which confirmed that we had reserved at 6:30 p.m. After this brief moment of shock, we were seated at an unfinished table even though there was a fully set table right next door. When we sat down we were handed the menu cards, even though we had pre-ordered the Tavolata menu. We pointed this out to the friendly waiter and he politely apologized. The seasonal three-course menu consisted of starter variations, a main course to choose from from three suggestions and a dessert variation at the end. At 88 francs a reasonable price, also totally recommendable in terms of taste! Unfortunately, we had to refill our wine ourselves in the meantime because we are rather "thirsty" guests. Conclusion: Food - very tasty Service - very friendly, unfortunately a bit stressful Ambiance - modern and timeless So definitely worth a visit, unfortunately we just got off to a bad start.
