Carosello in Genève

Il Carosello is an essential address for eating good Italian cuisine in Geneva. A loyal customer for many years, I feel at home at Carosello. The freshness and excellent quality of the raw materials are matched only by the sympathy and cordiality of the boss, Nino, and all his staff. Here everything is neat and fresh, from the small salad that goes with the dish of the day to the pizzas and other preparations. I recommend 100%. Bravissimi ragazzi!!

Even after 9 p.m. we were served with pleasure. Special evening after climbing walk. We had reservations well in advance. Really worth doing again. Thank you to the staff who were at the top.

Very good Italian cuisine for cheap (max 25chf). Very good pizza. The servers are cool. And what's more, they give a salad and bread for free before the meal for the wait. No complaints.

The shows resume classes in Geneva and evening life with them. Il Carosello is a better place if you only have a 30 minute break at the opera and there are plenty of people at the GTG buffet. Good Italian cuisine as we like it, pizzas, salads and pastas are served quickly.

Good food, great service, we were on the terrace enjoying the sun. The waiters always have a joke, we had a good laugh.

Overcooked pasta and "cooked" ricotta from the refrigerator. It didn't taste like ricotta. Maybe the only good thing was the aubergines. I don't recommend.

Good restaurant, well located, with a covered terrace away from the road. We were quickly welcomed and served. But one of the two dishes was served 10 minutes before the other... Either one of us ate cold or he would have finished before the other. It's a shame because the pizza and the carbonaras were very good. The server was very cheerful and pleasant. Good atmosphere felt, we could even see people working while dancing. The bill was reasonable. I recommend.

Nous avons découvert Il Carosello lors d'une visite à Genève. Les employés sont très aimables et sympathique, la décoration est jolie mais surtout, les plats et en particulier les pasta carosello sont DÉ-LI-CIEUX. Depuis nous avons refait le trajet depuis Lausanne uniquement pour les déguster à nouveau. Le plat est original et goûte les vacances à la mer, un vrai délice !

Friendly welcome and very good quality

Very friendly staff, small salad offered, quick service, good pizzas. But the topping disappointed me a little: mini slice of eggplant and paper-thin strips of mushrooms on the vegetarian pizza. No hand sanitizer at the entrance. But we really liked the warm welcome and sympathy. We will go back!

Maybe a Proust madeleine, but the memory of the first pizza eaten in this restaurant is always present. It's always a pleasure to go back there. The welcome is always as warm and the dishes are always up to par. To test !

The service is excellent but the food is quite bad. The decoration is somehwat odd and unfitting.

Very disappointed with the quality of the dishes. I ate a mushroom risotto. It was more of a tasteless risotto with a few boletus placed on top. Plus, it was prepared in the parmesan wheel and yet it didn't taste like parmesan. My friends had penne with crab and giant shrimp... it was pasta with tomato sauce and as for the giant shrimp, it was 2 small peeled shrimp!

En 3 semaines j’y suis allée 2 fois avec les collègues, les pizzas sont toujours brûlées et on n’est jamais servies en même temps. Hier ma collègue a mangé ses pâtes seule car ma pizza(une margherita, ça prend 3min) est arrivée 20min après, avec un trou !!! Ils me l’ont refaite et elle était brûlée... ma collègue a reçu ses pâtes avant les boissons et le citron demandé 3 fois n’est jamais arrivé. J’ai du prendre à emporter car je devais vite retourner au bureau. Seule chose positive: les pâtes étaient excellentes et al dente. À ÉVITER POUR LES PIZZA!!!

Très bon restaurant italien. Le personnel est accueillant et nous parle en italien ce qui nous emporte en Italie. Le service est rapide. La qualité des plats est bonne. Néanmoins, il serait bien d’agrandir la quantité des pâtes et la taille des pizzas. Un bonus positif pour l’intérieur du restaurant.

Superbes plats, accueil très amical. Seul le service n'est pas à la hauteur. Nous avons trop attendu pour être servi, ensuite les plats ne sont pas arrivés en même temps. Beaucoup de temps perdu, nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion de goûter les desserts et de prendre un café. Déception.

Excellent restaurant for many years now! The pizzas are always perfect, the Italian dishes are indeed well made with Italian products (which unfortunately is not always the case in other restaurants). I have known this restaurant for over 10 years and have never been disappointed by the service or the quality of the food. Without a doubt a very good address in Geneva which has merit!

Éramos una familia de 4, todos tenían algo diferente. La pizza estaba bien y los platos de pasta eran encantadores y una porción lo suficientemente grande como para llenar a mi hijo adolescente. La ensalada de aguacate estaba deliciosa y fresca. En general, el servicio fue amable, nos sentamos afuera y cenamos bien a precios razonables. Volveriamos

He estado en Carosello muchas veces, siempre por "Penne Carosello". Excelente pasta con camarones y salsa de cangrejo, cubierta por la masa de la pizza y terminada en la pizza. La última parte del proceso es el punto central, ya que crea el nivel correcto de humedad en el interior y al final, utilizas la masa para terminar la salsa de la pizza. Esta noche, ordené mi costumbre y lo que llegó fue un plato decepcionante de pasta con salsa y tres (sí, 3) gambas (normalmente hay muchas gambas pequeñas). El problema real es que no había ninguna masa encima y no se terminó en la pizza, lo que es todo. No fue un error, fue deliberado, por cierto, del camarero. Comenzaron a tratar de encontrar excusas incoherentes. Todo muy patético, incluidos los intentos de ofrecerme un café (que rechacé), un limoncello (que rechacé) y finalmente ofrecer el plato de pasta. No podría importarme menos, por supuesto, puedo pagar mis 25 CHF por lo que pido, pero quiero lo que pido. O espero que me digan de inmediato que lo que estoy tratando de ordenar no está disponible esa noche

Small portions, tourist prices and not great service. A tourist trap. I'm sure there are better places further out. We waited 5 minutes to be assigned a table while other people were seated more quickly

The Carosello is a very good pizzeria on the side of the Plaine de Plainpalais, near the Place du Cirque. Very nice italuan food. Very pro and nice staff. Not cheap but hey! it's Geneva .Cool terrasse too. Park on the side of the Place Neuve, near the Grand Theatre.

Good. At lunch time, on the terrace when the restaurant is only half full, 15 minutes of waiting and still no menu. Might as well leave...
