Very mediocre cheese fondue: small portion, no condiments. The wine was fine and local but cost 52 Sfr for a bottle. Now this is Switzerland and different rules apply, but still I think they could have done better.

Friendly service and great selection. Very good cheese crust. The pizzas aren't the best in the world, but I can still recommend the fancy pizza.

We spent a wonderful evening here. The Chaudron du diable was simply fantastic!! Wow! The only suggestion for improvement: put the fries on a warming plate, warming container or fresh. With this great meat fondue you like to take your time and the fries get cold. Otherwise everything is fine. We'd love to come back.

Very pleasant place, considerate service despite large flows of customers, a good part of which are residents of Diablerets, good organization, warm atmosphere in a rather particular or even kitsch decor 😉 A menu that can please everyone and good products. Sometimes, depending on our choices, a little fatty and to our taste, pizzas that are good could be tastier. We will come back again with pleasure.

The waiter and waitresses are not at all pleasant, drag their feet, don't smile and are very haughty. Limit, we were kicked out once the meal was finished. The waitress doesn't listen to the customers until the end Good but ordinary dishes without originality or creativity. It's a shame when we expect a service worthy of the slogan: Chez La Croix, Rigor & Fantasy. Unfortunately not recommended...to be avoided

Very nice restaurant with very pleasant staff. Quality of dishes very good. We stopped at noon by chance... and so we went back in the evening to try the Devil's Cauldron... to make again and again ;) Petit Génépi homemade to finish the meal... also to try!

Excellent restaurant. The menu is varied. The atmosphere and service are very pleasant. The pizza dough is delicious. All this for very reasonable prices. I recommend. I go there every time I go to Les Diablerets.

Even on a quiet Friday lunchtime the place still had atmosphere, the food tasty and the staff friendly!

Today I went to Chez Lacroix for lunch with a large group of seniors, by appointment. Friendly service, wide selection, inexpensive menu, various rösti dishes, inexpensive regional wines. Large portions, good quality, everything is great! Already my fourth visit here.

While passing through Switzerland, we stopped at Chez Lacroix. The view of the mountains is magnificent. The French waitress is very friendly and professional. Quality products but a little expensive (28 CHF!). We will put this on the Swiss cost of living...

Very friendly staff and good service. I even had the opportunity to drink the second half of my wine the next day. Insider tip: Créme Brulée! Wow

Deplorable welcome, we ask for a table, the waiter shows us a table at the side of the road. As we have a 3 year old, I kindly ask him if this table (table without cutlery, without reservation) is available. His response froze us, we left straight away.

We had dinner with family 3 evenings in a row in this restaurant during our stay, we were so won over. We tried almost everything, and absolutely everything was of remarkable quality and generosity. Both the dishes and the service, with a special mention for the young woman who advised us and served us with a smile and impeccable kindness. Highly recommended. And well done :-)

Disappointing compared to before

We were very well received and we had a good time. The dishes were good and the service was pleasant.

Had an evening meal. Entrecote steak was wonderful. The only downside is the high prices CHF 49 = £45 approx for the steak and chips. Probably due to exchange rate and general high prices in Switzerland.

The food is okay, expensive like everything else in the region. Nothing special about this place except a friendly service.

Another typical place benefiting from a location (facing the station, very well located) which does not have much to do to fill its tables. So the guys present allow themselves an unpleasant, shameless welcome... Ok we arrived a little late (2150 p.m.), but rather than accepting us by "sucking up" it would have been better to explain to us that it was too late ! In addition, poorly (or not at all) cut tartar, pizza dripping with oil and barely drinkable wine... Only the waitress was very nice, thanks to her. In 2 words: avoid!

Very nice restaurant and excellent cuisine. Of particular note is the venison saddle which, in addition to being delicious, can be served for one person, a fact which deserves to be highlighted because usually it is a minimum of two people. Very friendly staff.

Arriving there at 1:30 p.m. yesterday, we asked if it was still possible to eat, the answer was clear from the waiter. "What is this question... Of course otherwise we would go bankrupt" We ended up going to eat at the post office restaurant where the waiters were much warmer. Very disappointing to see a waiter look down on you for a simple question of politeness.

I have been coming here for 30 years and I have been very disappointed. Vitello tonato without tuna, drinks the opposite of what we ordered…. Leg of lamb good but with cold sauce. There were a lot of tourists and we were not a lot of regulars, I nevertheless made a reservation, I hope that my remarks will allow the team to question themselves because it is a restaurant that a lot of -we like to go there in all seasons. Tourists as well as locals should be able to enjoy themselves despite an obvious lack of waiters.

This place could be a little gem... Unfortunately, no smile at reception, they answer the phone (looking at you) rather than welcoming you. And the waiting time….. Pfff, what frustration! However, the cuisine is excellent and the prices are quite reasonable 🙏🏻 Is this establishment missing that little thing that would make it welcoming, even warm? It’s up to you to tell me 😉

Pleasant service, fast service, very well eaten.

We had a great evening in this restaurant (large table of 12 people). The service was impeccable and I personally ate very well (Rösti). However, the pizzas were not unanimous.

Annoyed staff, not exactly friendly. Chicken nuggets with fries from my companion had almost a uniform color, were pale and didn't taste good. I ordered the “Entrecôte” medium. It came to the table and it was completely raw inside, full of tendons and fat, the vegetables had lost their natural color. My food looked like a traffic accident. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he took my plate away and rolled his eyes. People were talking about me in the kitchen and they just wanted to get out. He brought me the menu a second time and this time the whole restaurant could hear me chewing because the meat was shoe sole. We had to pay 80 for that. The fact is: never again and definitely not a recommendation! The restaurant gets one star because it was really sweet.

We cane here a few times on our stay. There is only a couple of vegetarian options but the staff are so friendly and service and food quality is amazing .

Très décevant la pizza, commande à l’emporter mais ni le savoir, la qualité et la saveur était au rendez-vous.Vous devriez plutôt retirer les pizza de votre carte.Constatation : une pizza petite, sèche et grasse, effectivement cuissons apparemment en plaque car les rebords brûlés remontent très net, une pâte qui n’a pas le goût d’une pâte à pizza, on ne sens pas la mozzarella et la sauce tomate, extrêmement salée, du jambon cru qui a passé au four, (un sacrilège...) vraiment aucun intérêt. La saveur est très loins !Je n’aime pas critiquer Mais là ils faut vraiment vous remettre en question, allez goûter une pizza chez vos concurrents ça vous aidera.Et vous ça vous ferai envie ?

We ask for 1 bartle of 0.75 l and we receive 0.5 l at fr 32 -....he brings back the bartle of 0.75 without saying anything....at the payment item..he tells me fr 48.-...I remains 1 a little disappointed with his way of doing things...not very cool...

Very nice restaurant, right at the train station. Stopped here for coffee. Pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. The staff was polite and they have all the covid precaution with digital contact tracing as well.
