We get lunch there at least 4 out of 5 days a week. Price/performance unbeatable. I love it :-)

Whenever possible, I like going there with a friend: the staff is very very nice, I like very much the food & wine and, on top of this, it’s more affordable than other Indian restaurants in Basel. We also did an order via Uber Eats today for the first time, and we were delivered promptly and again with very good food and, as usual, a big portion that was more than enough for 2 persons. Specialties from the Indian Subcontinent or South Asia. Here is a restaurant that's not going to make a hole in your pocket. Excellent food at a very good price in the heart of Basel. For lunch it's table d'hôte. There is a different buffet, every week. Buffet portions are very generous and wholesome. For Dinner you go a la carte. Strongly recommend trying different specialties from India and Sri Lanka. The chilli prawn fry is something not be missed.

Ordered chicken biryani and got vegetable biryani mixed with chicken curry. There are a lot of peas in the biryani which no one adds. I doubt if its even fresh as there were none visible in the restaurant.

Good place for sri lankan food. Chicken Kottu is a must try which is served along with a chicken curry gravy and tastes fantastic. A low-key place but worth the visit!

Deliscious food for a good price!

Two weeks into our Europe trip and we were craving some spicy food. Chickpea provided excellent food. We had chicken biriyani and lamb curry. Both tasted just like home (South India). The price is comparable to US price and not at all expensive like Swiss prices. Very satisfied and highly recommend.

I used to go there very often for lunch. Very great offer and extremely cheap. Since I no longer work nearby, I often order the food home in the evening because it simply tastes extremely good! Over the last five years, the quality has remained excellent and authentic at all times. I can definitely recommend Chickpea - whether for lunch or dinner, the food impresses every time!!

We have been the first time here. Simple setup, not super friendly stuff, but the food is great. Defently a must try for all lovers of Indian / Sri Lankan cuisine.

SUPER tasty food and kind staff. Always go there for some delicious curry chicken for lunch. Maybe I am not the expert in Indian food but overall I find this place totally great if you are looking for some Indian lunch for take-away.
