Quality is really good! Pain au chocolat and Croissant With almost , really Tasty bit Slowest coffee in Basel!!!! Came here for the first time to buy ‘to-go’ I have been waiting for 20 minutes. There is one person serving and taking orders and it takes as long as the slow music they put in the coffee. Will never come again! If they offer coffee to go they have to become faster. It gave me Time to write this review!

Very good coffee and great atmosphere!

A beautiful place just before Clara, one of the neighborhoods on the right bank of the Rhine, where you can feel a more "ethnic" Basel. The place is very informal and also allows you to work with laptops. Also excellent for breakfast, thanks to the excellent desserts.

All my stars are for the location & ambiance. I want to love this place but the coffee is mediocre & as others have also expressed the food is less than mediocre. An acceptable place if you buy bottled water & stay a few hours to work.

Before Christmas I asked by phone whether on December 26th. is open and a table is reserved for breakfast at 9:00 a.m.! Let's do it, no problem...we were there on time: everything was dark and closed! Were then well served at Beschle.

Could be better. Drinks are good, but food options are very limited, and when I was there, they just had dessert. tables are not always clean

An interesting café in a multicultural district. Easily accessible by public transport or bicycle. The coffee is really good and I thought the muesli was delicious. The world music in the background is great and gives you some space to wander into the distance. The furnishings are a bit reminiscent of a Brockenstube, simple and very simply put together. Various customers from young to old meet in the café and there is also a shop with various cooking oils and a flower shop.

A place of rest in everyday life. Good coffee, good rolls or cake, you can sit undisturbed for as long as you like. Drink an unlimited healthy glass of water and enjoy the ambience...what more could you want than to realize your lifetime...

Good coffee and brutalist interior, but slightly stale pastries and very unfriendly service. The chap behind the counter started chatting to his friend while we were making our order, which felt very weird.

Had breakfast in the cafe. There were various pitas, croissants, cookies. The coffee was very tasty and the atmosphere was also very nice. The café is perfect for sitting and talking.

We had a very good, vegan thali with garlic naan and homemade thyme-turmeric lemonade. The ambience invites you to linger and enjoy. I could spend all day here drawing or reading.

I love this café I come here every Sunday. The chai latte is to die for, would 10000% recommend.

In this place they only speak Italian, German and English but the waitress is very good and understands and the damage is wonderful. I am Spanish but speaking a little English they understand each other perfectly. I went to Switzerland Basel.

Good place to work (+free wifi), tasty coffee (different types of milk available) and nice sweets and snacks. Also really cozy to have a chat with a friend. There are couches and lovely plants. The dirty chai latte is definitly worth a try :) The bathrooms are gender neutral.

Small café with lots of homemade drinks (iced tea, lemonade,…). The cheesecake is highly recommended, very creamy. However, the carrot cake is rather dry because it doesn't have any real frosting.

I came here for coffee with a friend. I love pastries with poppyseed and the one I had was absolutely one of my favourites. It's an excellent please if you're looking for some quiet to study/work or simply chill out. The staff was really cool and kind.

I thought I had reviewed this place already. Assuming not, that’s a problem that needs to be fixed. This place is fantastic. We’ve had a few parties, and all have been great. With a nice selection of gluten free and vegan options that pleased both my wife and son, and with really good coffee that started my day well each day, we highly recommend Finkmüller. And if you like chai lattes, this is an especially nice place. It’s been my wife’s go to drink and she’s noted it’s one of the best she has ever had. We will be back the next two mornings to experience the great service and food.

Disgusting stale cinnamon rolls and surprisingly bad customer service given the high prices. When I told the bartender, she simply explained that I must be wrong because the rolls are delicious and fresh from yesterday.

Cool and relaxed coffee bar, but a somewhat questionable hygiene concept: ordering at the bar is modern, cleaning the tables yourself and clearing away dishes from the previous person is anything but Covid-compliant

Very friendly staff, coffee is first class, the cake selection and quality is top.. 💖 The interior is very airy, sitting at the tables outside is very exciting as there is always something happening on the street. Reminds me of the times in the street cafes in Vietnam... That's probably why I always find my way to Finkmüller....🍬☕🥮

My 'cup' (Swiss German for coffee with milk) was a coffee that was way too strong for me with a sip of steamed milk in a normal coffee cup. The waitress responded kindly when I brought the cup back to the counter for more milk after a long sip. But she also explained to me that everything was right. There is always a cup in this cup and it is always a very strong coffee with a little milk. The photo shows the coffee after I was poured more milk. That wasn't a pleasure 😐

It was super comfortable! Very nice staff.

Very spacious with a good atmosphere and pretty plants. On the other hand, the service is at the bar... and the motivation of the bartenders leaves something to be desired... The coffee is good, but at 11 a.m. on a Sunday there is already nothing left to eat.

It's a pleasant place to spend time, but lacks good food choices - actually lacks any decent choice of food at all- and the coffee isn't great. Avocado pita is bland and there's no added flavour to lift the bland taste of avocado. The worst pitta I've ever eaten. However, since it's very bright and spacious it's a good place in the neighbourhood to spend time at.

The Finkmüller is becoming a favorite coffee next to the Klara. In addition to the self-service at the bar (so no annoying waiters), the friendly and pleasant atmosphere is impressive. Nice quiet music, no high noise level, even a small corner for babies/toddlers. Natural light and the coffee is simply the best I had in Basel. Overall, great.

Great place, great people...successful concept store including a flower shop gives a special flair. Very light...vegan dishes are absolutely delicious!

A very welcome and warm atmosphere, great for families with kids, and, what's most important - they serve a really great coffee. I would recommend it to every coffee lover. Btw, you can buy there coffee beans too, and not only. They have many interesting products in the range!
