Coco Mama in Lac Léman (VD)

A first visit and a very nice surprise - everything was very good. We tried miso soup, tuna ceviche, nigiri, blackcod, pavlova - all excellent. Nice staff great service.

We went to Coco Mama at random, the menu seemed tempting. And we were not disappointed! Everything was wonderful, from the starter to the end of the meal. Both by the food itself and the presentation, the care given to every detail, the politeness of the staff. The place was subdued, soft music, no hubbub. The quantities for the dishes were exactly what was needed (despite some opinions on this subject which we do not share). We leave with a delighted palate and we are already looking forward to coming back to enjoy a succulent meal when your terrace opens with our feet almost in the water. Once again a huge thank you for this magnificent moment of culinary escape!

Delicious meals, the kitchen offers Japanese/Thai dishes and ceviches which go very well together. Guaranteed freshness, just the right taste and lovely presentation. Affordable Swiss wine list. The Chasselas de Montreux is well made and ideal with this type of cuisine. The service is attentive and very pleasant. Pretty boudoir style decoration and great terrace by the lake. We highly recommend.

Already several experiences in this restaurant and never disappointed! In summer, the terrace with its breathtaking view of the lake is simply incredible, but the interior of the restaurant is also very beautiful and warm. The service is always top notch, great welcome. The Peruvian-Japanese fusion concept works wonderfully, everything is delicious, we feel that the products are fresh and of high quality. It's always a pleasure and a treat to go there when I'm in Montreux.

Magnificent setting, that’s it. Bad value for money, Teriyaki Chicken extremely disappointing. The icing on the cake was that we were kicked out at 9:30 p.m. to make room for other people, even though we had reservations and were celebrating a birthday. We won't come back.

Exceptional place with magnificent view, correct service with a few oversights and long waits for drinks. Disastrous meal, don't take the Chicken Teryaki no taste no flavor! Half of the ingredients mentioned on the menu are missing and we were not warned.

The desserts are of great quality, the atmosphere is very good, there are always people and the tables are very close to each other. The service is a little weak compared to the location but a little weak due to the density. no parking but possibility to park nearby

A great situation, the map is not very explicit. We had reserved for 5 people and we were stuck at a table of 4 with one head, which was very unpleasant. The food was good, but there was too little food for the price, the service was carried out in two phases, which is unpleasant for the guests who are served first. Personally I'm not ready to go back. The value for money is not correct. We miss the old restaurant.

We made a reservation for a specific table and once arrived to the restaurant (on time) not only they told us the table was already given but we were left standing for more than 10 minutes under the rain without any further clarification on alternatives. Once we expressed our disagreement, the manager reiterated he couldn’t give us any table of our choice because of the rain. Instead of kindly explaining the situation, he said that we must take that table he was giving us or rather leave and instructed the waitress to not continue the discussion with us. We said this was a extreme rude way of treating customers and he replied that there were many restaurants around the corner. Long story short, I have never seen this type of customer “service” in the region, even more in a restaurant that is supposed to offer good standard cuisine. Training on how to treat customer is URGENT.

One of the best restaurant experiences in all of Switzerland! The restaurant is located directly on the lake and has a wonderful ambience. At the reception we were greeted very friendly by the manager and the team. The service was very competent, we were shown which ingredients were used for each dish. The food was incredibly good and beautifully presented. The price is a little higher but compared to other restaurants in Montreux it is absolutely reasonable, especially when you consider the good service and the elaborate method of preparation. We had a variety of dishes to share - ceviche, sushi, wakame salad, etc. - each one was excellently prepared. The drinks were a highlight. If you like special, very high-quality cocktails, Coco Mama is the right place. We will eat here on every Montreux trip in the future, the restaurant is definitely recommended. Thanks to the whole team!

Super Location Delicious Food Very friendly service

The definitive asian food experience in Montreux. Jurani was an incredible host, the food was absolutely delicious, the view was amazing... what else do you want? Oh right, complete flexibility with trying different wines, since we had a bunch of differing of opinions in our group and they were completely accomodating until we found something that was suitable to everyone. The recommendations were also great... seriously, I can't praise this place enough. (Try: tuna ceviche, tempura, gambas and the mocchi!)

If you like the mix of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, then this is the place for you. Directly on the lake with a view of Montreux. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. Not cheap and definitely reserve in advance.

All those who complain in the reviews that it is too expensive should inquire first and simply go somewhere else, for example McDonalds. We were happy to pay every franc for such a great meal with such quality products and such attentive service! The wine recommended to us was also a poem. A Top evening! Warm, friendly welcome with a smile!!! Obviously the place is exceptional and the food excellent. The service and advice are provided with good humor. Frankly, I rarely give my opinion but when we have a nice evening, we can say it! And an essential element, going there with Joy, it’s win-win!

Overall, the visit was disappointing and somehow annoying... First of all: the restaurant boasts a beautiful, inviting location right on the lake (which the new crew can't do anything about) and the ambience of the terrace is very tasteful and stylish. There are four (!?) people ready to welcome the guests, and you'll spend the whole evening wondering what exactly their job is and why. The waiter assigned to us was prompt, courteous and technically experienced, but somehow also brashly arrogant. The food was good to very good (a compliment to the dedicated chef), but the prices! With all due respect, pure rip-off! If, for a chicken dish (which costs CHF 35) the starch side dish (a moderately sized bowl of vegetable rice) is charged at an extra CHF 10 (!) (for two people that means CHF 20 for some rice) I find that excessive and exaggerated. The drinks prices are also exorbitant in some cases... And once paid for, all the staged friendliness evaporates into thin air and an "au revoir - merci" is only muffled if not at all from the lips of the many reception crew as they leave. A pity. No recommendation, sorry...

The food is good, but we arrived at 19:00, we ordered at 19:15-19:20 it’s 21:00 now and we just received our food after we complained to two different people. We said “it’s been one hour since we ordered, and we haven’t received our plates”; they said “yes I know it’s arriving” not even… “sorry” … very bad service Update: the food arrived cold… the waiter said “I’m sorry is the kitchen not me”….
