Confiserie Bachmann in Basel

Staff was lovely and extremely kind. During our 2 days Basel trip we went there 3 times. Coffee prices are a bit expensive

Very impersonal, until you can finally enjoy the cafe you have to laboriously find everything yourself. There is staff behind the counter, but not very helpful. Too bad, I prefer personal service! Costs or not, you are saving on the wrong side, because the customer is happy to pay for good service.

Historic place in the center of the beautiful city of Basel. The place is small, with some tables outside. The pastries are good, the coffee much less so, the prices very high. The staff is quite courteous and helpful

Delicious café, cappuccino, ovo warm or cold. Selection of truffles and chocolates. Small snacks and croissants. Some tables outside. Inside there are only 4 seats at a small counter.

I loved it, everything was very delicious. The service was correct but they were not very friendly.

Great selection of treats, however the flavours are a little bland. Would recommend the chocolates rather than the baked items as there are much better options nearby.

After visiting the cathedral, we needed a short break with a coffee. We went to Confiserie Bachmann and were served in a friendly and quick manner. We had a chocolate and mousse parfait as well as an iced coffee and a lemon cream. There was also a small praline with the drinks. Everything was very delicious. We'd love to come back.

Confiserie Bachmann such a lovely place with delicious and fresh pastries and great coffee. We visited couple of times, and every time and pastries are fresh & delicious. Schoggiweggli is so fresh, soft and delicious, I like to ask to re heat it so the chocolate melts inside. Sandwiches are so delicious too! Staff is very kindly The spot located in a beautiful place and pet friendly.

Strolled past Confiserie Bachmann early in the morning. Outside, there is a wonderfully presented white display in the shop window. A very nice waitress in training brought me a delicious cappuccino and I took a clay roll with it that had finely balanced ingredients. Fresh chives, fine sesame bread and the tuna mousse is not as salty as I know it. Then an egg roll laughed at me, which initially tasted rather bland, but the fresh ingredients only unfolded in my mouth. A curious sparrow accompanied me to breakfast, who then also received a few sesame seeds😁.

Only baking summits. I can also go to Denner there

I'm totally disappointed! The baked goods for the hefty, exorbitant price are absolutely not worth it. There are a number of confectioneries in Basel that offer baked goods of excellent quality 🍰🍕🥐🥨❗

For me the best “Schoggiweggli” I know, especially when they are completely fresh 😃👍

I wasn't served on the terrace, even though there were 2 service employees inside cleaning... Wanted to drink champagne but was ignored.

Espresso was great but yes, expensive - but it still had just under 1 teaspoon of milk and not even enough for a slice. The hot chocolate is incredibly sweet. Cream slices and St.Honoré are pretty mushy. The sandwiches looked like they were a week old, so they didn't appeal to us. There is STILL better in the city!

Fantastic place with super friendly staff and delicious pralines! Good pastries and coffee and wonderful ice cream. Try their own ice tea. It is fantastic! Highly recommended!

If you're lucky, you'll see the boss and owner drinking champagne drunk and chasing his employees around at lunchtime - it's a great movie!

Great bakery and lunch spot. Perfect for coffee lovers as properly made! High quality food- the sandwiches and breads are simple, but delicious. The people are kind and the space is clean and nice. Highly recommend. (For chocolate though go down the street two stores to the actual leckerli store)

The coffees, ham croissants and cheesecakes tasted very good! However, the prices are too high for what is on offer: For example, we received dirty cutlery that was not replaced, but was only polished a little without any apologetic words and was still not really clean. That would be okay at a snack bar and the corresponding price range, but I'm used to something different with "Bachmann" and the prices they charge.

High quality chocolates and coffee! The service is very friendly and knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend stopping in here when visiting Basel. :)
