I was at the Coop Spalemarkt on Saturday December 23rd, 2023. I did a lot of shopping and there were two employees at the self-service checkout, one with long black hair. I was watched the whole time like I was stealing something. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I will never shop in this store again.

It would be the perfect place if it would closest at 22h as many other coops. This also a huge advantage for people who arrive at home near 18h. Otherwise, it is really hard to make groceries.

Very nice and big coop. Friendly staff. For me the best co-op with the best bakery in the whole city. Even though I live in Kleinbasel, I almost always stop by here when I'm nearby. There is a very large variety of bread here and fresh bread from morning until closing time. Here the bread and the braids are so wonderfully crispy, well baked and dark, so that the baked goods are still crispy the next day. Not like most other Coop and Migros branches with their boring, pale, uncrispy, rubbery, limp braids. I wonder why they aren't able to leave at least a few braids in the oven a little longer (like in bakeries).
