Friendly service and the best vegetarian cuisine!

Cool location, very good food and very friendly and courteous staff. I think the concept of vegetarian & vegan cuisine, with which fish & meat can be ordered as a side dish (which you can't do without), is very successful.

Despite the vegan menu, the menu was unexpectedly good. Even menus that sounded strange and special turn out to be excellent. It was really good and can only be recommended.

Gladly again! Tastefully furnished gastronomy integrated into a hotel. Actually, I don't tell anyone that I'm posting my visit here🥳 while I'm attending the evening. But I casually let an employee know. We were then able to obtain a little more information. It was a pleasant exchange. For example, it was said that the menu changes every three months. In this respect, it is really recommended to stop by every now and then. 👀 In any case, the food, the quality, the taste and the serving process are well-rehearsed and routinely presented to the best. The look of the menu and the impressions during your stay leave nothing to be desired. The guest experiences attention to detail. All that was missing was the grand piano in the foyer 😊😅 In and of itself, my expectations for a Christmas dinner with staff were exceeded. The selection is mostly limited to vegan and vegetarian options, but it is possible to add a small selection of animal meat. This was served excellently and did not impede his taste in any way. Since the selection is rather limited, the meal is excellently put together. It should also be noted that I was able to eat the very best risotto of my life here. We would like to thank you for the friendly service and the very tasty dinner.

Full marks for the successful concept and the quality of the food. The wine list offers a nice selection, but organic and regional wines are hardly available. The service tries hard, but fails to create a feel-good experience. The “big coffee cup” discipline is fun. The coffee is served in a cup that is difficult for people without finger muscles to tame. This really requires juggling skills. So be sure to check it out: ask for sustainable wines and coffee training at the end.

Decent enough place but the food theme is not very clear to me - vegetarian fusion menu but with meat options at cosmic prices...

I am always very happy to try out a new menu at Secret Garden, as I was extremely surprised by the very good quality and variety and the lovely preparation. The food is exceptionally good, varied, interesting and seems to me to be very healthy as there are always a lot of vegetables. The service is also very courteous, friendly and funny, such as Neta and Bea :)

We made reservations online for 5 people. I wanted to make a reservation for one more person over the phone. That wasn't possible because everything was fully booked for breakfast on Sunday and not a single additional chair was available, according to the information we received over the phone. We got a round table in the beautiful garden for 5 people. Neither the garden nor the interior were well occupied, it couldn't be said that it was full and there wasn't a single additional chair. The service was not professional. No proactive support, we always had to ask if we could still order and then it took a long time for the order to come to the table and there were 4-5 wait staff for 3 tables on the terrace and a larger table with guests inside. Then the order came to the table incorrectly, instead of apologizing for it, I was told that the waitress didn't prepare the dish, but the kitchen and wanted to clarify things with the kitchen first, even though it was obvious that the egg was the one that was ordered was missing. Cutlery was only brought when requested. Salt mill gave no salt. I took a replacement and gave the note that the salt mill was empty. Shortly afterwards someone from the service came and told me that the salt wasn't empty but that the mill wasn't working - sorry, but I'm not interested in that - the result was the same, I had no salt... The dish was fine. There were a few other things that shouldn't happen in a 4-star hotel. An attentive service person provided us with a carafe of water, she was attentive and very friendly. The ambience is great there, but unfortunately the service is not. I won't be coming back anytime soon and won't recommend it.

Very nice atmosphere. We have reserved a meeting there as a group. The food itself was very good. We had a lot to choose from at self-service. The staff was very competent and friendly, our "personal" employee Jeton, who was responsible for the table, did a great job which rounded the whole thing off

A beautiful restaurant with a great outdoor area. We immediately received a bowl of water for our dog. The quinoa bowl and porcini mushroom risotto were excellent and I couldn't stop eating even though I was actually full. I ordered the wrong drink for myself and then received a recommendation from the house with strawberries - that was exactly my taste and I wasn't even charged for the new drink. Thank you for a great evening with you - I'll be happy to come back!

We wanted to enjoy a birthday breakfast and thought, let's try the restaurant that Google recommended to us. We were just welcomed to the table and that was it, no explanation, questions, anything. If you had looked at our faces, it would have been clear that we were surprised to be sitting in the lobby, so to speak. We assumed it was a restaurant, and the scattered buffet was neither really logical nor sensibly laid out. We saw salmon on the buffet at first glance, but by the time we got there there wasn't any left. The service, if it was there, was always tried. All in all it wasn't worth the price and the Prosecco for a toast was served afterwards.

What a lovely experience it was to visit the Secret Garden. Excellent food, very nice staff and beautiful ambience. Vegan lovers you must visit and those who are not do not worry they got you covered 😉

I was in this cozy restaurant with my girlfriend yesterday! I had a decaf cappuccino & she had a passion fruit ice tea!! We were both very excited! 🤩🙏🏻 I would be happy to come back for dinner another time, it looked very tasty!! 🫠😍👍🏻

Nice restaurant, delicious food and very friendly service at a good price/performance ratio.

The service tried very hard, but seemed overwhelmed. Somehow there was a problem with the organization (hence only 2 stars for my overall rating). Not only did we almost have to impose ourselves upon arrival because we were simply not spoken to at the entrance to the terrace, but it also seemed afterwards that only the service manager was allowed to take on certain tasks and not others. The food selection and concept is original and clear. 10 minutes after we had already been able to study the map, we were asked if we could explain the concept to us. Well... no more then. When I ordered a piece of meat (140 g), I didn't immediately order a "side dish", so they explained to me flippantly: "You know, for us the meat is the topping and it's probably a bit too little." Well, they could have lovingly explained it differently I was happy to have some fine polenta with it. Everything was very fine. The price-performance ratio is ultimately quite high due to the sum of the individual elements.

Great place, great food and excellent service. We sat outside and it was very quiet, despite being very close to the city center. The indoor seating area looks pretty amazing too.

What a surprise, what a great place. We found this restaurant completely by chance while looking for a vegetarian option. And were richly rewarded in the idyllic garden at the edge of the forest. The map is fantastic. Especially the food. Bea, the waitress, always had an open ear and gave us friendly and skillful advice. The basic attitude of the restaurant is: good vegetarian food, optionally with meat as a side dish. Finally a restaurant that has understood the trend of the times. We'll be back soon! Keep it up!

Cool restaurant with an interesting concept. All dishes are vegetarian and/or vegan. If you want, you can order meat or fish separately. The food is good, but could be a little spicier in some places. Be sure to reserve. The waitresses were nice and friendly but sometimes overwhelmed and simply forgot individual drinks. Nevertheless, if you want to enjoy delicious vegetarian cuisine you should go here.

There is a nice atmosphere here, good service, good drinks from the special bar master William from Paradise. We spent a fun evening here and always feel comfortable. Highly recommended ❤️❤️

Place has a good atmosphere, is nicely designed. Service however was awfully unattentive. Took us more effort to get their attention than keeping the conversation going.

Very competent and friendly service. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Good selection of vegetarian and vegan menus. However, the portions were rather small compared to the price.

Actually I wasn't that enthusiastic about it. We had a glass of champagne and there were no nuts or anything else with it. In every café there is a little something extra.

Finally a solid, good and creative restaurant where you can easily eat vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free etc. and where the staff understands what you are talking about! The menu offers such a great selection that you almost can't decide - and that's vegi! Brilliant. It was delicious and I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Very nice location, great design 😊 The food is good and, above all, very nicely prepared, but it didn't blow me away.

The brunch buffet is divided into 4 stations; a bit difficult. Only 1 self-service coffee machine; long queues. My vegetable omelette had diced ham and cheese.

Email contact and reservation were great and went smoothly. What really bothered us that evening was that the starter - as soon as we sat at the table - was served without asking, BEFORE the aperitif, which followed 5 minutes later! Everything happened much too quickly, the dishes were not explained (we had to ask what was on the plate), and we felt pressured to move forward. At half past eight the chair cushions at the empty tables had already been cleared away. We thought this rush was a shame and it affected the mood. The huge starter was followed by the all-you-can-eat grill buffet, and after this a huge dessert, we had to leave a lot of things behind. Our suggestion: less is more and trained staff please! The cuisine was delicious and innovative (except for the chicken, which was unfortunately far too seasoned), the staff made an effort, and the facility is very nice (right on the edge of the forest). But the “whole package” is not enough for us for a second visit.

The beautiful location impresses in every way and is a true oasis in the middle of the city of Zug. You feel like you're in another world in the garden. Very quiet and the direct access to the forest with the birdsong is simply wonderful and pure relaxation. This special ambience becomes an experience with the delicious food. Great, creative food; beautifully presented: one treat after another! The share plates are particularly fun. You can order different dishes and then share them with your friends. This way everyone has the opportunity to try everything and eat together. The dishes are innovative because they are vegan and you don't even notice it in that sense. A true experience. If you want meat, you won't miss out. A special treat is the very delicious Angus beef at an absolutely moderate price. The lemonades are also a hit. Very refreshing in warm temperatures and something different. Secret Garden - don't miss it! If you don't go, it's your own fault ;-) TOP!

Due to a lot of positive feedback in recent years, we made a reservation for 10 people in the Secret Garden restaurant last Saturday. This worked perfectly and we had great seats in the otherwise wonderful location. Important: Apparently (so we hear) there has been a change of tenant in the meantime Unfortunately, that's the end of the positive mentions: - Service 3 out of 5 points --> “Makes an effort and makes an effort” - Quantities: 1 out of 5 points --> minimalist portions - Serving: 4 out of 5 points --> The food was very nice arranged - Quality: 2 out of 5 points --> Meat was fried to death / vegetarian dish was OK - Price: 1 out of 5 points --> extremely expensive for what is offered Total 11 out of 25 points = 2 out of 5 points --> Conclusion “disappointing”! We recommend not visiting under these circumstances.

After all the good reports, we wanted to test it ourselves, unfortunately it was a failure! Unfortunately no, not recommended, service poor, food presentation catastrophic. Vegetable stick and Ferrtig sauce, Vitello Tonnato which was more mayo sauce than tuna sauce. Meat, presented carelessly! Side dishes were OK. Water and coffee are way too expensive and dessert isn't exactly a hit either.

Very nicely designed. However, you cannot get in here without a reservation. Great drinks. Lebanese cuisine is a matter of taste, I've had much better in Zurich. The prices for the mini portions were also quite high. The service is nice and friendly, but a little sloppy. Not all the food ordered was brought. Drinks that were requested without ice were brought with ice.

A cozy location with interesting Lebanese cuisine. Nice atmosphere. The waitresses are very nice. But some people don't even know what's on the menu and find themselves at a loss for explanations. They should probably help out in the kitchen for a while so that they know what they are offering to the guests. The chefs don't know the difference between lactose and gluten and unfortunately prepare the dishes incorrectly. The food itself is beautifully presented. The taste was okay, but unfortunately not anymore. The busier the restaurant, the less coordinated the service appears and the more often people forget an order. All in all, we have eaten worse and had worse service. But both are much better. Unfortunately there is not enough for more stars.

What a delightful surprise - Lebanese brunch in the middle of Switzerland. We are a group that meets for brunch once a month and Secret Garden had us ooohing and aaaahing. For CHF38 per person we had more food then we could finish - omelette, hummus, herbed yogurt, chickpeas, breads, pastries, cheese, honey, and homemade jam. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We ate in the lovely garden. Just when we finished eating it started to rain heavily so we moved inside to the cozy lounge. Wherever we went, we felt comfortable and well cared for. 👍👍👍

We had brunch today (June 27, 2021). User conclusion: Firstly, we were amazed at why there were so few people present. However, we soon received confirmation: - Poor service with long waiting times - Instead of 5 portions, we were charged for 6 portions. When asked, it was said: When choosing from 2 people, 5 portions cannot be charged and it has to be rounded up! - Small portions with only Lebanese cuisine - Everything was charged separately (coffee, orange juice, even the bread at CHF 5.-)! - We shelled out around CHF 400 for brunch in the Secret Garden (4 adults and 4 children)! - An absolute disgrace! - As very satisfied guests for years, it was the last meal for us!

Unfortunately, the service at Secret Garden wasn't great. We must have waited 15 minutes before we could order. Even when we ordered the drinks, the employee came after 15 minutes to say that a drink was no longer available... It's a shame because otherwise it would have been great...

Mein Mann und ich finden das Lokal passend für sämtlichen Anlässen egal ob mit Freund, Freunden oder Sippschaft ; ).Die Bedienungen sind jedes Mal besonders liebenswürdig und sehr zuvorkommend. Das macht mir bei jedem Besuch richtig viel Freude.Dieses Restaurant hat echt Potential mein nächstes Lieblingslokal zu werden.Was ich wahrhaftig unterstützen kann, sind die Desserts. Wir beide waren jetzt zum vierten Mal da und haben bei jedem Besuch einen Tick Neues ausprobiert.

Die Bedienungen sind jedes Mal zutiefst reizend und überaus verbindlich. Das macht uns bei jedem Besuch rundweg viel Wohlgefallen.Vom Geschmack ist hier vieles ein Schmankerl. Die Mengen sind eine ansprechende und sättigende Dimension.Die Sitzgelegenheiten sind ausgesprochen bequem und den Abstand zwischen den Tischen finde ich besonders adäquat. Dort bekommt man keine Spur das Gefühl, wie Gurken in der Dose Abend zu essen.Wir finden die Preise auch völlig Fair.

Das Hotel liegt nicht weit vom Zentrum im Wohnquartier. Ursprünglich als Containerhotel gedacht das nach ein paar Jahren wegen eines anderen Bauprojektes wieder weichen sollte. Fassade von aussen interessant, aber auch das Innere hat seinen eigenen Charakter. Im Inneren eher etwas dunkel aber mit riesigem Glasfenster das zum Wald schaut. Auf der Rückseite eine Holzterrasse mit Tischen. Dazu noch Loungemöbel. Da auf der Rückseite der Wald beginnt und man am Morgen die Vögel pfeifen hört gebe ich hier 5Sterne. Im Moment ist noch das Spezialkonzept mit Abstand 2Meter. Daher gibt es noch Einschränkungen bei der Karte und den Auflagen im Gastrobereich. Personal sehr freundlich. Werde sicher wieder kommen. Tendenz bei mir geht Richtung 5Sterne

Meine Geschwister und ich waren zu zusammen dort und jeder von uns hat etwas anderes geordert — ich für meinen Teil kann besagen, ich habe von jedem ein wenig probiert und es war unverzüglich.Ich kann das Lokal sehr empfehlen!Alle Tische wurden anständig gereinigt und die Sesseln waren ungemein bequem.Promter und netter Service. Ich finde, dass das ganze Personal dort einen guten Job gemacht hat.

Wir waren zu zweit am Abend essen, haben vorgängig reserviert und unsere speziellen Wünsche zum Essen mitgeteilt. CU hat die Wünsche souverän umgesetzt und hat uns einen wunderbaren Abend beschert. Essen war vorzüglich, wir hatten das Thunfisch Tartare, das Filet zum Hauptgang war sensationell auf Punkt und der Schoko-Cake mit innen flüssiger Schokolade zum Dessert war die Wucht! Ambiente war unverwechselbar, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und hat alle unsere Wünsche im Vorfeld auf den Punkt umgesetzt. Vielen Dank an das Tolle Team und die Küche!

Wir sind am Heiligen Abend dort gewesen und haben das Weihnachts Menü genommen. Es war sehr lecker das Ambiente stilvoll eingerichtet. Des Service ausgezeichnet und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist auch gut ca 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof Zug zu Fuß zu erreichen. Werden sicher noch einmal vorbeischauen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.
