Very beautiful restaurant, the views are amazing, the atmosphere inside is very good, excellent service, good selection of drinks (beer, liquor) the food is very good with variety of flavors and dishes, dessert too. A bit on the pricy side but it is definitely worth it.

We celebrated our child's baptism in this restaurant today and had a wonderful experience. The ambience was inviting, the service attentive and the food very well prepared. A lovely day that we were able to spend here thanks to the friendly team and the good cuisine.

It's been a while since I tried to order a drink at the bar. I'm still annoyed today. A whiskey sour that the bar service didn't know or couldn't. Not so bad, so a gin fizz, the waitress didn't know or could do it either. In the end I ordered an Aperol Spriz, which was really nice and cost 13 CHF or was it CHF 14 (?). So far it's been rare, but always very good. You notice the lack of staff and the (partial) lack of training of the staff.

Fine food, beautiful decoration, good service at the table. Overpriced drinks, e.g. B. 8 dl water for Fr.11.- Somewhat cautious reception and no farewell. A pity.

We had dinner with friends, but unfortunately it wasn't supposed to be a nice evening. Waitress unfriendly and overwhelmed and spoke in Italian when complaining. Chef de Service had no interest in listening to our complaints. Food overpriced and terrible. Never again. Not recommended.

It was supposed to be a nice evening with friends but it turned out to be a terrible evening. Food just not of high quality, prices too high. When complaints were made, the waitress was very arrogant and swore in Italian. The owner was very arrogant in the bar and looked at us women the whole time, which was very unpleasant for us. We will never visit this restaurant again.

We were a group of friends, it was the worst evening in this restaurant. Food wasn't good at all and way too expensive. Waiter and waitress unfriendly and unprofessional. We will not visit this restaurant again and will not recommend it. Owners are not interested in hiring professional people or the owner sends people back and forth and the owner just stands there and harasses the women. Not worth a visit.

if you could give 0 stars... I have never experienced such unfriendly staff in my entire life (and I eat out very often). totally rude and unfriendly... I also very much doubt that the meat is of high quality and hygienic. The smoking bar is right next to the kitchen! I won't go into detail now, but I've never seen such a bad restaurant, neither abroad nor in Switzerland. Food inspection is really due, and more precisely...

Five of us had dinner today and we were all very disappointed. The quality of the food does not correspond to a Gilde restaurant. The beef tartare was very boring, the rösti wasn't a rösti, it was more like fried potato mousse, and the sauce from the sliced ​​veal wasn't flavorful at all. The second bottle of wine was simply placed on the table unopened. The service seemed very helpless in dealing with the criticism. The tiramisu offered was once again not a tiramisu as we know and love it. All in all: more appearance than reality. Service and kitchen: clumsy, incompetent. Unfortunately not recommended. Very unfortunate.

I could put it very briefly and answer your question “what can we improve?” with NOTHING. But I would like to describe it in a few words. I have the privilege of being a guest in the best restaurants all over the world. I was able to eat in your restaurant twice with my wonderful wife Daniela in the last 2 weeks. Everything is just right! The food was simply wonderful. The whole thing was rounded off by the super friendly chef de service. All I can say is “KEEP IT UP and don’t change anything,” especially not with the staff :-)

I was at the restaurant at lunchtime with a group of friends. Unfortunately there was hair and plastic in the food, so we had to return the food. It's a shame that the service is very unfriendly and not service-oriented.

This is a really harsh review for sure. However for the prices they charge it is measured I’d say. We were really early so it was empty but unfortunately when we left at after 8 it still was more or less. Beautiful location and purports to be a Gilde Restaurant. I have been to many of those and with the exception of the nice table cloths there was not a lot else Gilde like evident. The starters were fine even if massively over priced. The mains were OK at best and definitely not the quality I would be expecting from a restaurant like this. The best was still to come however - Fr 6.0 for a simple scoop of ice cream with the audacity to want to demand Fr 2.0 more for a shot of canned pressurised cream. Nope. This concept does not work and neither the Zunfthaus nor the Gilde concept were anywhere to be seen. Such a pity.

Beautiful restaurant with terrace on the lake. Great service, we were even lucky enough to have a waitress who spoke Spanish. A very quiet dinner and good atmosphere. Prices a little expensive for us, and tremendous for the wines.

The food is OK. The place is awesome. Unfortunately, the service is still arrogant and stressful. We have experienced it several times). the waiters forget dishes and always make excuses. The restaurant team still has a lot to learn when it comes to friendliness and customer treatment. Never again.

We ordered Wienerschnitzel. The delivery took place before the specified time. Never before has a meal I ordered been prepared like this! It came on a large platter and looked very attractive. The fries were really tasty and crunchy. The schnitzel is a dream!!!!! I was totally thrilled and can only recommend the food!!!!!! Definitely worth the price!!!!

My wife and I received very warm service from Jörg and were able to enjoy his great culinary recommendations. A real recommendation for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a birthday with the family.

The place to be in Zug a sunny summer evening. Great Neapolitan style pizza. Unfortunately different service experiences, from great to unacceptable.

Birthday party occasion. Weather hot, but then wonderfully warm until late at night. Food, service, drinks, service and so on... matched the wonderful location in every respect.

We enjoy the atmosphere here with white drapes flowing in the wind like a beachy Ibiza feel. Sometimes we'll order takeaway pizza from here and enjoy it on the nearby grass to picnic and enjoy the beautiful Zugersee views.

I've been there countless times and am always amazed. No matter what you use, it's always super nice. Sometimes you have to be patient when it's full, but I'm happy to accept that. There is definitely no more romantic dinner location in the canton of Zug than this!

A beautifully located restaurant on Lake Zug. Price performance, however, is not entirely consistent. Small portions and an additional Fr. 15 for a side dish with the meat is too expensive.

Nice place with good food and great view.

The beautiful view of Lake Zug makes up for the mediocre food. Everything seems to be pre-produced. The Wienerschnitzel was ok. But the French fries, those mushy potato sticks, don't deserve that name. And what does the ordinary pickle do in a green salad? The atmosphere somehow seems a bit shabby and worn out. But the view is wonderful.

Absolutely disappointing from the welcome to the farewell... We reserved a table online 2 weeks in advance with the desire to get a table by the window with a lake view (for 2 people). When we arrived and made our reservation, we were placed in the so-called “Stübli”. This is the back area of ​​the restaurant directly on the street with no lake view and no direct window seat. A small narrow room with space for about 20 people. Poorly lit, tables placed far too close to neighbors, no view of the lake and the cold wind from outside could be felt at the place. We politely mentioned to the waitress in charge that we were dissatisfied with the place. She didn't respond to it, showed no understanding and replied relatively annoyed that she couldn't change anything and that the tables would be allocated once the reservation was made. She then pointed out to me that after all she couldn't cancel 13 people because of 2 people at the window. So with all due respect, it is probably not my job as a guest to plan the places. I definitely don't expect you to cancel because of the 13 of us, but there will probably be another solution than putting us in the storage room. If only we had specifically expressed the desire to sit by the window! Then we continued with the meal. We ordered a bottle of still water and 5dl of wine as refreshment and waited for the menu. After about 15 minutes of waiting, our waiter came and politely informed us that the buffet was open. Um, buffet on August 1st!? It was neither on the homepage nor were we informed by email or telephone. The waitress in charge denied this and claimed that she had called or emailed my partner. We checked both and nothing was right!! A general buffet would have been fine, but when I asked about the price I was told it was 69 CHF per person! (excluding drinks, wine and dessert!) This is absolutely exaggerated and once again we have been presented with a fait accompli!! The buffet was a disaster, starting with how it was presented to us. There were about 5 different salads and 2 salad dressings in mini glass bottles where you could help yourself. The main courses were served in aluminum bowls like in a canteen. There was a small selection of meat & fish as well as two different types of potatoes as a side dish. The tip of the iceberg was that over half of the main course was neither warm nor well cooked. The meat was lukewarm and dry, the potatoes were cold and undercooked. A disgrace for 69 CHF!!! In addition, everything in the front area was so incredibly tight that we stood in long lines to get food and had to stand at the table next to strangers the whole time. That wasn't pleasant for us or for the people who wanted to eat. After this terrible main course we wanted to order dessert. Our waiter then said that dessert was à la carte and not included in the price. Seriously?! 69CHF for a bit of salad, meat and cold potatoes?? After spending about 1.5 hours in this restaurant, we asked for the bill... Please buckle up. We paid a whopping 230 CHF for the whole evening (without tip). I was absolutely speechless, disappointed and angry. That was definitely my last visit to the Kreuz guild house in Oberwil!

It's a good restaurant in a very nice location by the lake. The food was very good, but in our opinion the prices were very expensive.

At the end of June 2023, at the request of our daughter (birthday), we were once again at the Zunfthaus Kreuz, Zug, dinner restaurant. A nice employee welcomed us, but he couldn't speak German well and didn't know where our table was. We had to wait for the boss. There was a gentleman standing behind us who wanted to push forward. The boss hardly greeted us and this gentleman (regular guest?) was warmly welcomed. We had the choice to either eat outside (we didn't know if it was going to rain or not) or inside. Since our daughter wanted to be at the lake so much, we ventured outside. There was no option to move indoors. The salad and the bruschetti were quite ok. Our pasta wasn't even al dente, but rather hard. The glass of wine with the main course was forgotten. The tartare, which cost just under CHF 40.00 for 140 grams, wasn't great either. The toast was delivered open (not covered because of the heat). The large pizza didn't even fill the plate. For me it was a small pizza for a hefty price. This time we were so disappointed that we went to another restaurant for dessert after the main course. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing birthday celebration.

The food (Chateau Briand) was really well done. All in all I would say. However, what really needs to be emphasized is the exceptionally good and authentic chef de service. A good reason to experience politeness, good humor and authenticity. Thanks!

You will love this place for a chilled lunch, as a spectacular sunset location, a romantic dinner or a celebration with friends. Very friendly staff, a comprehensive menu ranging from homemade pasta and pizza over nice seafood and some meat dishes makes this location a perfect place for a wonderful meal and drinks outside. Highly recommended!

Nice ambience, great view of the lake.

We had a reservation but decided to leave after having waited for 5-10 minutes. Indeed 6 waiters walked near us and none of them helped us, welcomed us or even just say "hi" or smile. We did not feel welcome at all.

In our opinion: the waitress was nice but didn't speak German, the waiter was arrogant and argumentative, the restaurant, despite overlooking the lake, does not serve lake fish of any kind, in this "Swiss" restaurant no Swiss wine is offered by the glass... but only foreign ones! If we had found a Menu list outside, we would not have entered. We won't go back and we don't recommend it, it's a shame because the location is very beautiful.

Very idyllic location, the terrace is right on the lake. The menu is seasonal and regional. The staff is friendly and quick in service. The restaurant is busy, so calling ahead to reserve a seat is recommended.

Just had dinner there. The atmosphere and views are amazing. Service was very good, if a little slow. The food was ok, not great, and super super expensive. There are plenty of similar places around the lake with similar views and much better food for that price.

Ate the worst pizza yesterday. Husband didn't even want to cut them open for take away. That doesn't work at all.

Great pizza, but only one star for a horrible service. The Italian waitress that has no knowledge of English or German was very rude to us during todays lunch, giving us such an attitude like we came unexpectedly to eat at her house. Wouldn’t recommend anyone for the second visit only due to a lack of professionalism from the employees !

The view is the best part. The food is too expensive and not even that good, which is sad. Cause a few years back the food was amazing. Also the service is not the best. Depending who u get. All in all view is beautifull to have a drink. But the restaurant doesnt even try anymore cause of their view and location. Which shows u their not a high class Restaurant.

As spontaneous guests, the three of us were warmly welcomed without reservations. The menu is balanced and offers an upscale selection. The portions were very well sized and a feast for the eyes. Highly recommended and would love to come back.

Was taken here by family for lunch in December. Amazing views over the lake. I would imagine that it is really lovely in summer on the outside terrace that is right on the lake.
