The offer is limited to a 4 or 5 course surprise menu, which is very charming. The individual courses are of a high culinary standard, the wine selection is excellent, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Children are also welcome. You chose pasta and a dessert. I'd love to come back soon!

An Excellent Restaurant! We took the tasting menu from the chef and it can only be recommended. We didn't take photos of all the menus, but they were all beautifully decorated with lots of detail and love. The recommended wine was also consistent and the service was simply friendly and very, very attentive. A nice stylish little restaurant. Parking spaces are just a five-minute walk away. The 1 1/2 hour trip was very successful and I would like to do it again soon. 👏🏽

Exclusive / Excellent 5-course surprise menu

Five stars are definitely not enough for this fine dining experience. What the “da Frappa” team delivers right here at the roundabout is absolutely world class. Everything that fine Italian cuisine has to offer is brought to the big plate here and offered lovingly, courteously, friendly and professionally. My husband dropped his napkin three times. And hey presto - a new one flew to him every time. I have never experienced such attentive service anywhere. And now for food. Braised veal cheek with polenta and Romanesco broccoli or all the other perfect delicacies were a taste and visual delight. We had the little table by the window. I really want to sit there again, enjoy the great cars driving by and enjoy Italy at its best.

I give this restaurant visit 5 stars. A fine 5-course surprise menu at a high level, with the perfect wine accompaniment and a very fine grappa from Piedmont at the end. The waiter gave us very friendly and competent advice. On the cozy terrace you feel a bit like being in a piazza rondò, only in the village center of Richterswil.

Beautiful, refined and elegant environment, and the very competent collaborators spoiled me right from the start. for my first visit I only took the midday menu, artfully presented dishes and excellent and tasty preparations, the desserts were particularly tempting, compliments to the whole team, I will return for an à la carte evening. very varied selection of wines for all budgets.

We really liked the Italian restaurant “Frohsinn da Frappa”: the starters - egg with truffle and croquettes (crocchetta di Manzo) - were both exceptionally good. Unfortunately, the tuna came almost cold and the side dish was a bit bland. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately we were the only guests that Wednesday evening, perhaps this was due to the high price level (apart from the holiday season). Nevertheless, we give 5 points because the quality was convincing.

Formerly a simple pizzeria, now a fine-dining restaurant. Frohsinn is now called Frappa and offers Italian cuisine at the highest level. We had the 5-course surprise menu and experienced top performance both in terms of taste and appearance. All the dishes tasted excellent, were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right so that the flavor came out to the full. The gnocchi from blue St. Gallen in particular were a hit; I had never eaten such creamy and tasty gnocchi before. The service left nothing to be desired, including Italian hospitality at the highest level. Many thanks to the entire da Frappa team for the wonderful evening.

Letting yourself be guided by the owner Giorgio or his highly trained staff for a tasting of tasty and refined dishes is a truly high-level culinary experience! The three of us happened to be in Richterswil. Thinking nothing of it, we returned to Frohsinn Da Frappa. We were warmly greeted and welcomed. Then came the wonderful paccheri as a starter and exquisite sea bass with risotto and young zucchini strips. We ordered Le Pergole Torte, a wine rarity at an affordable price. Service was excellent and we discovered a restaurant that we will 100% come back to. Thank you very much for the Italianità feeling in CH and great service. Keep it up.

Ordered today via just eat. We had 1 Magharita, pasta with smoked burata and gnocchi with smoked salmon and lemon. Delivery within 35 minutes from Richterswil to Au (ZH) on a Sunday is very good. When you read the offer you can clearly see what is important. Not a run-of-the-mill offer, finally honest Italian cuisine and at a good level. The pizza is great, beautiful little black bubbles as it should be The pasta with smoked burata was very very strong. The tomato sauce could use a little more sweetness as the acidity is in the foreground. The gnocchi with smoked salmon and lemon was also very good. Quality gnocchi very good, lemon slightly dominant. I have read a few things that I will be ordering from you in the near future and even trying on site. You are doing a very good job, please keep it up.

I had a dinner with friends. One of my friend had a salad and a pasta ,both looked delicious. I had the truffle pizza but I have to admit I liked only the dough -it was too oily. I liked the chocolate mousse I got for the desert though. The service was good but not great! I saw the stuff touching the bread with his bare hands. I am not sure if I would give another try. :/

Well cooked, kitchen and menu not quite in sync... but whatever...

I have order pizzas at this place via eat.ch a couple times and been to their restaurant once. Each time the pizzas were amazing. So were the desserts. The only negative thing so far has been the delivery time: It is often displayed that the delivery time is around 30 min, but the actual arrival time its after one hour.

Pizza dough not baked through, tomato sauce totally watery, unfortunately couldn't eat the pizza because everything was soggy and watery. Too bad

The food was good. But very expensive for what it was. Over 30.- for a rissoto. The service was "special" the italien guy was nice and polite. The German guy was slimy did not stop talking about his whole life. If you plan on having a relaxing evening plan in 15min of hearing about thailand the stockmarket and how singel parents cant work, while the food gets cold. Will not go back mainly because of the service . But also because of the very high cost.

Although very nice on the phone - but still wrong delivery... it was correct, without tomatoes - but with the Parmigiana the eggplants are the most important thing. And they were missing!! That's really a pity. Also, the dough was too rubbery for me personally.

Cozy and elegant place, friendly staff and very good food. Last night my husband and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant, recommended by a dear friend of ours who lives in Zurich. As soon as we arrived, the staff welcomed us, with all the anti-Covid measures and immediately accompanied us to our table for two, with the right distances. Excellent Italian menu, quality products and fast service. We took advice from the waiter and I must say that he got it right and satisfied all our requests, because my husband, being a chef, is very demanding. I recommend it and obviously we will come back to eat!!!!
