Bad service, meat served very oxidized, Aperol spritz without carbonation, long waiting times until I could finally order. Main course comes before starter, then comes wrong starter. But then they can't handle an honest customer review, even though they asked for the customer's opinion. A pity. Further notes to the chef, owner: The chef decides how the food goes out. Now things get even better! 1. We have reservations. 2. Space wasn't the problem. 3. The meat may have been fresh in the morning, but when served like that you can tell the craftsmanship is lacking. Such meat deserves some dignity! 4. As a boss, realizing that customers are not satisfied but not even reacting to it shows great ignorance. 5. Everyone blames the other person instead of changing and improving. Bravo

I wanted to enjoy a normal PIZZA MARGHERITA. When I ordered, the waiter asked me to take another pizza. But as always and everywhere, I just wanted a Margherita. What was then served was a lumpy disk of dough with far too much tomato sauce and rubbery cheese. The answer I received to my complaint was that the pizza maker had been hired today. In my opinion it's sad that you can't get decent pizza at the "Italian". When paying, the waiter asked if he should bring another pizza. I will not recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The best restaurant far and wide. Pizza is absolutely top and sometimes feels like you are in Italy. The service is always friendly and accommodating. We always enjoy coming to Da Leone as a family. Keep it up.

Great atmosphere, you feel like you're in Florence or Venice. The food is excellent, but we had to wait almost 2 hours for our food, instead of a small pizza we got a large one. The reference to this was ignored, so you could think it was the small pizza. But at the end I had to pay for a large pizza. Unsightly...

Little story why we chose Da Leone: my girlfriend and I were looking in vain for a café to warm up on a rainy Sunday 🥶 after all, we had a long walk behind us. The owner saw us by chance and spoke to us. Just like that, we were INVITED for a cappuccino including tiramisu. It's great that such great people still exist! Thank you again 🙏🏻 and we'll be happy to come back!

A great Italian restaurant, very tasty food (in the restaurant and take away) and extremely friendly, courteous and patient service. ...as if we and our dog were part of the family... We would love to come back :-) Highly recommended!

We were a group of about 10 people. When the last person was served the salad, the first people started with the main course. When the last person got the main course, the first ones were finished eating. In between we asked about three times what was still missing. Card payment was out of order. Only TWINT worked. I completely understand that service people aren't necessarily happy when a table of 10 requests separate billing. However, this is usually covered up with a poker face. Unfortunately it didn't work.

Very nice restaurant in a historical atmosphere. The waiters are a bit hectic at lunch. The lunch menu was lavish and tasty. There are delicious pizzas, the pasta dishes are "clearer". Otherwise a large selection of dishes. The lettuce could be chopped into smaller pieces as the large leaves have the potential to spill. The boss personally inquires about the well-being of the guests and greets them warmly.

Very child-friendly and accommodating. Semi the waiter spoiled us completely. The food is fine and sufficient. If we're ever in the area again, we'd be happy to do so again👍🏼

A perfect summer day became an unforgettable experience at the Da Leone restaurant in Diesenhofen! My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to enjoy an antipasti plate (vegetarian adapted) as a starter and it was simply divine. The homemade pesto and tomato sauce were heavenly. For the main course we shared a pizza, which was also incredibly tasty. The kitchen team was not only talented but also extremely friendly. We had great conversations, laughed a lot and overall had a great time. This place is definitely worth recommending and a place we will happily return to! 🍕🍽️😊👌

- Price quality ratio 2.5 (Snitzel was very expensive for what you got) - Hospitality 3 (Can only speak German) Nice location to eat, it was equally difficult to communicate with the waiter. He couldn't speak English and we could only understand a little German. The food looked delicious and tasted good too. However, the price-quality ratio was not well balanced. I had a schnitzel with parmesan cheese fried in butter for CF38.50. I would rather give it CF25 / CF27.50 Francs.

We recently stopped at Da Leone for lunch on our club outing. Very nice atmosphere, courteous and uncomplicated staff (when it rained we were able to move from outside to inside without any problems), the food was excellent. We will definitely come back privately.

At 1:30 p.m. we ask if we can still eat, one yes, one no, another quickly, but only this or that. A big back and forth. Then there was hardly any time with the drinks, a lot of pressure, and then the more expensive one just comes along. A lot of stress around lunch break. It's understandable if people want to take a break, but respond uniformly for the guest and don't put pressure on them if they're allowed to eat. Tables weren't clean either.

We were there half an hour before closing time and received a very friendly welcome and were able to sit down to eat. The pizza was very tasty. The service was very poor. All in all a great restaurant, highly recommended. We would love to come back.

Great, authentic, Italian restaurant. The outdoor area with fountains and beautiful plants invites you to linger. There was also the best Neapolitan pizza I've had in a long time. Salt and pepper are already on the tables, hot oil was brought to the table independently. I really appreciate something like that. The service staff were very friendly and customer-oriented. First of all, we were not given proper cutlery for the meals. They didn't announce in advance that you can't pay by card, and now comes the best part... 6 of us ordered at the table at the same time, the first person got his one pizza and when he ate the pizza, the second person's food came... and then only 2 people ate. For the others, I wouldn't even say how long they waited before they got it... (obviously the problem wasn't with the waiting, but with not eating at the same time) And the food of one of us was half cold and half warm, so it wasn't even well done. In the end, it was almost a problem that we didn't tip... I don't recommend it

The restaurant is a real insider tip. It is run with great attention to detail and Italian charm. The range and preparation of the pizza and pasta variations speak for themselves. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The price-performance ratio is right. We'll definitely stop by here again.

Nice ambience and very fine food. The best pizza we have ever eaten! The service was initially a bit unfriendly (1 waiter). We came spontaneously for lunch (4 adults + 4 children). We had the feeling that the waiters were upset that 8 of us came without a reservation, but they made it possible by pushing tables together. The children wanted to eat fries. The waiter's answer: "There are definitely no fries here, we are a restaurant". Therefore 1 star deducted. But we will definitely come back.

There were four of us at Ristorante da Leone - three of us came all the way from the Zurich lowlands. We were greeted personally by the innkeeper and were treated to a fine Prosecco at the house's expense. The recommended starter platter was delicious and the D.O.C made by pizzaiolo Luca. Pizza excellent. Everything very fresh! It's a shame that the restaurant is so far away for us Zurich residents...

We came from Schaffhausen to try the pizza since it has superb reviews. Not only the pizza is good and fulfilling, the wine selection is also well made. The staffs is incredibly nice, welcoming and friendly, this alone would already be enough to give 5 stars. I really suggest this restaurant!

Went to eat at Da Leone with a friend. Service top music top food delicious.

Nice terrace, good pizza and pasta and nice staff - unfortunately the boss suddenly came into the restaurant and shouted loudly at the staff in front of all the guests, the mood in the restaurant was ruined, unfortunately the evening was ruined for us too, what a shame! Since everything else was so good, we might try it again (magari!) in the hope that this was a big exception and that we have found a nice restaurant near us for more frequent visits.
