Very warm, family atmosphere. Very good food, great service.

Simple atmosphere in an industrial area, but very warm, friendly and caring. Delicious pizzas, excellent homemade pasta and fair prices. We went there spontaneously because we didn't feel like cooking ourselves and didn't regret it.

Very good food, especially the pizzas are very tasty, but also the pasta dishes (homemade pasta). I've been there 3 times so far, always at lunchtime, always great. The service is also very friendly, I can only recommend the restaurant. Tip: there are always a lot of guests at lunchtime, so a table reservation is an advantage. And that brings us to the only SMALL negative point: due to the many guests, it is always very loud and the seating is cramped during lunchtime. If you don't like that, you might have to visit the restaurant in the evening, maybe it will be a little quieter then. But that's just a guess. But this small negative point is made more than insignificant by the positive points. Grazie e alla prossima.

We spontaneously went out for something to eat on a Friday evening. And what can you say, it was great all around! The service was friendly and warm. And the meal afterwards was simply brilliant. I have rarely eaten such a fine pizza and found the different variations particularly remarkable. From classics to specialties where the combinations are finely tuned. I would be happy to come back and enjoy another cozy evening in Italian cuisine.

I felt like going to Zia Maria today, so I called there to reserve a table. Said and done. Well... When I got there and the host asked for the table and he sort of showed me the table, I had a very bad and at the same time a disappointing feeling. Because the table wasn't set up, I had to set the cutlery at the table correctly. Incomprehensible. The chairs were also full of dirt and dust. We chose menu 2 Pollo con cima di Rabe and pasta and as a starter una Caprese con buffala for 4 people. Probably a wrong decision for excellence! Some of the supposedly homemade pasta is still completely raw. The quantity also leaves something to be desired. Overall not satisfactory and the price of CHF 174 is beyond good and bad.

If you are looking for a true Italian food experience look no further. The pizza was really good and they also make real italian carbonara which was delicious and is almost impossible to find in Switzerland. Such high standards and pursuit of quality was an unexpected but really appreciated surprise. Highly recommended.

We were able to celebrate the baptism of the girls with Maria and Salvatore. They opened especially for us on Sunday and conjured up a menu alla Italiana: among other things, a very fine lasagna and a delicious arrosto with grilled vegetables. We had a wonderful family celebration and were able to enjoy la dolce vita. Italianità in Effretikon - GRAZIE!

My absolute favorite pizzeria in Effi. In addition to the menu, there are also several daily recommendations from the boss. Special requests such as mussels or steaks are also possible, but you should reserve 2-3 days in advance, so you can get it freshly prepared that day.

The best Italian in Switzerland. Here we cook and serve with love. Homemade pasta and pizza, and always special specialties such as pizza bianca con porchetta. You immediately feel like you're on vacation! A cozy chat with the innkeeper is of course part of the visit. Our children are also thrilled every time

The small, inconspicuous restaurant is just a stone's throw from Effretikon train station and is run by a friendly, older couple. We had unnecessarily reserved a table for three as we were the only guests that evening, but we really appreciated that. The service was friendly and of course the number of guests was quick. And the most important point: the food. We ordered 2x pizzas (Margherita and Proscutto e Gorgonzola) and a portion of pasta carbonara. The food was good and we enjoyed it. The homemade pasta is certainly worth mentioning. Conclusion: a quiet and cozy evening with good and classic dishes in a pleasant environment where you don't have to shout at each other to be able to have a normal conversation.

Small but nice, very authentic restaurant. The service is attentive and courteous. You feel welcome as a guest. There were two of us and we both ordered a pizza (4 stagioni and 4 formaggi). As a starter I had the Caprese con Bufala. Everything is very tasty and at extremely fair prices.

We went to Zia Maria's again today to eat a "pizza". Eating pizza regularly is a given for me as the son of a Neapolitan. What is very important here is that it is not just a pizza but it has to be a 100% Italian pizza. Thanks for your pizza. We will be back.

Let's try to keep the restaurant alive by serving the customers with fresh food even when they come for pick up , i told at the phone that I come for pick-up in 15 min ,exactly in 15min I was in front of the restaurant, today my pizza 🍕 was cold and we buy also a piece of cake which was still frozen...if I want to eat an cold pizza and frozen cake I go to COOP and buy frozen ones

Best pizza far and wide. And above all, a great atmosphere with great hosts. It didn't initially make much of an impression from the outside. But after just a few minutes in the restaurant you feel like you're on a short trip to Italy. We recommend.

Die Pizzen schmeckten ausgezeichnet und der Service vom Chef persönlich war vorzüglich. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und die Qualität der Produkte ist erste Klasse. Fazit: Ein Besuch beim Italiener ist absolut sehr zu empfehlen! Wir waren in allen Belangen begeistert und werden sicher wieder kommen. :-)
