We stopped with a tour group. We didn’t want to be the sort of people who just use the toilet and leave, plus we had some time to kill. The waiter, Anthony, was incredibly rude. Brushing us off when we’re trying to ask a question. We had to get up and get the bill ourselves because he would not even look over. Overall, awful customer service. The food was okay, nothing great.

Pleasant restaurant with fine patisserie. In summer, when the weather is nice, I particularly like the terrace with the incredible view of Lake Lucerne.

Very good food and fast service. The view from the terrace it's amazing. A big plus because you can find the place still opel while all the other restaurants around Weggis are closed.

Friendly staff. Were very accommodating and patient with us. Their pastry and coffee were so good I'm still thinking about it. Needless to say anything about the view as it was spectacular. Prices were also good in comparison to other spots in the area.

I came here three separate times during my week trip because of how amazing the food was. The menu is limited, but SO delicious. I highly suggest trying the burger, the meat puffs and/or the pulled pork. The staff is amazing as well! They speak German and English. They can even provide you with and English menu if that is your native tongue. You can sit inside or right by the water. The outside seating has a HUGE umbrella to keep it nice and cool. What a wonderful place

Café Dahinden may seem unassuming from the outside, but its taste and outdoor space are truly outstanding. We took a seat outside under a bright sky and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Hidden away you will find a small, charming area right on the water. This is equipped with high chairs, a table and a small water feature, which gives this area a special flair. In addition, the lush green space helps to create a positively invigorating atmosphere. We were impressed by the quality of the food. We had a ham croissant and a Coupe Mini Romanoff. The special thing about Café Dahinden is that the ice cream, cakes and rolls are made in-house. Therefore we expected excellent quality - and we were not disappointed. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, with the Coupe Romanoff particularly standing out. The service was another highlight. The staff was attentive and courteous, seemed happy and satisfied. This, in my opinion, is what separates good service from excellent service: satisfaction and joy radiating from the staff. In summary, our visit to Café Dahinden was an entirely positive experience thanks to the excellent quality of the food, the attentive service and the picturesque atmosphere. The price-performance ratio was also good. That's why I give Café Dahinden five stars without reservation.

Went here for dessert, which was good, though my wife didn't expect the alcohol in hers. The waiter was fishing for tips way too obviously, even though we only ordered desserts.

Came here for dinner and it was amazing. Had a menu in English for us, I went with the Burger and Fries—both fantastic. Our waitress was great and so was the view. We finished with some desserts, since they’ve won medals for them we felt we had to try and they did not disappoint. I understand why they won Gold with the Nusstorte, the Kirschrahmtorte that won Silver was exceptional as well.

Bakery/pastry shop with a beautifully located restaurant with a lakeside terrace. Burger was very tasty, but would be good if the menu said it was cheese. Pie slices were excellent. Service was OK.

We felt really comfortable, the conditions were perfect for me, the food was great. Almost cheap for this region.

Top class cakes have won multiple awards. Top location - right on the lake. Ideal for a stopover.

The food and view were great, however the day we went there was live music which they charged 15 chf per person. No one told us, and so we were ambushed with a 45 chf charge for three people in addition to our ice cream. When we talked to the people inside they said the waiter should have told us. When we asked the waiter why he didn’t tell us about the music charge before we sat down, he said „That’s not my problem… you’re supposed to know“. It’s not about the money, but about how unprofessional and rude he was. Handled with no class or fairness. We payed the bill and left with a sour taste in our mouths. Very disappointed. When the waiter saw us telling people outside about what happened, he then came over to tell them about the extra music charge to save his own A**…. Not our problem eh?

Never again! A small concert took place in the café. After about 30 minutes (during the meal) we were asked to pay 15.00 per person for the concert. We were NOT informed by the waiter beforehand that we would have to pay an additional 15.- per person. Of course we paid the money and told the waiter that we would have found it nice if he had brought it to our attention initially. His answer "That's not my problem"... Well, it's not our problem if we advise our friends/acquaintances not to ever go to this restaurant.

The Café Dahinden, with a beautiful space and a spacious terrace, with a view of Lake Lucerne. Just let yourself be pampered there and enjoy the finest desserts or a snack in between. Or even a nice brunch on the weekend. The staff is so nice and will look forward to your visit.

Beautiful view on Lucern Lake, including a wide selection of lovely pastries. Only recommendation I can give is when ordering something unknown, always check with the waitresss what's in the cake. In our case the cake looked delicious, but included some kind of strong alcohol/cherry substance. If we knew this beforehand, I'd ordered something different. Other than that, highly recommended!

The view is great, desserts are good and the staff is friendly. The coffee itself, however, still has a lot of room for improvement: the presentation is careless and the taste is weak.

Exquisite pastry shop and baked goods, I would love to come by again

The three of us had dinner on the terrace right by the lake. A very nice place with good views, very quiet. The service was very friendly and the food was very good. The burger is really recommended: juicy, well seasoned, with a crispy bun and good fries! The coupes afterwards were also wonderful: fruity ice cream!

This place has the most amazing view where the outdoor garden backs directly onto the lake. Giant beautiful boats go past while you sip of great coffee received by great service. It When we arrived it was raining and the outdoor part was closed. I asked if we could go outside anyway and the waitress dried all the table and chairs for us which was very nice. We have had cakes from here takeaway and they are delicious but if you have the time it's definitely worth expericing the lake views. 5*****
