The best restaurant in Zurich Oerlikon. This is the third time we have been there, the welcome and the food is still delicious. We change the dish each time we visit and it’s always delicious. Special mention to the decoration and the wayang which take me back to Jakarta. Thank you again for the quality of your restaurant and see you soon.

Food is very good. May be you can ask them to add little lesser salt if you are used to. Had "Bala Bala", something like our pakoda which was very good. Had noodles which was also very good. Jackfruit menu, was like a spicy curry, may be can be had with rice. Their Jasmine scented rice was also good. For desert we had chocolate banana cake which was also very delicious. This place is pure vegan. No non veg at all. South Indian review. Good staff and good ambience. Definitely you can visit.

Very friendly and competent service that answers every question, gives tailor-made recommendations and makes you feel welcome. The food is beautifully presented, creative and really tasty (all Indonesian and vegan). The interior and ambience are elegant and atmospheric without being overly posh. We were there on my father's birthday, which I only mentioned when making the reservation, and he received a wonderfully sweet birthday greeting from the kitchen. We were very happy about it. In every respect, Dapur offers high quality and attention to detail. We'll definitely go again!

After 5 years I am back in Dapur Indonesia. This time for dinner. Now only vegan food is offered. I lived in Indonesia myself for over 10 years. It was very difficult to eat vegan there. It's probably changed in the last few years too. Dapur Indonesia, which means Indonesian cuisine, more than lives up to its name this time too. Very authentic food. Cozy little restaurant. Highly recommended. Located right next to Zurich Oerlikon train station.

This restaurant is a gem. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is charming and quiet. We visited for lunch and were delighted to find 3 set menus to simplify the choice. The eggplant and chickpea curry and the mango with sticky rice were both delicious. I will definitely return.

Everything was SO perfect. Best restaurant for us in a long time. Thanks and heavily recommend. Also the fried banaba cake/choc desert yammmi! Rendang and the Seitan something dish: so great!

TLDR: absolute perfection for family style, vegan Indonesian food! Atmosphere: clean, well manicured, stylish, and cozy. We loved every part of it. Service: kind, welcoming, on top of refills and asking for additional sauces. Not a single moment did we think that service could be improved. Food: we did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. My wife is Dutch and grew up with Indonesian food so she was in heaven trying so many dishes from her childhood. I have only really had Indonesian once prior and each dish was unique and great. I prefered the curries and my wife loved the drier dishes, but if I was served any of the tastings as a full dish, I would have left happy and full. I do think that a couple of the dishes were just a tad too salty, but not by much. It was a busy night for the kitchen, but I would just advise them to keep on tasting throughout the night, because I was definitely drinking lots of water by the end of the night. Regardless, I would travel to Zurich to eat here again and am very happy DAR one of only four dinners we had in Zurich. NOTE: Dessert is NOT included in the tasting menu. We were so full, we did not want it, but just be aware if you have a sweet tooth. For around $120 / person, I could not have asked for more fair prices in one of the most expensive city in the world.

What a pleasure, from A to Z. The menus are so tasteful, you'll want to start from the beginning and try every menu. We will be back definitely. Bala Bala, vegetable balls to start, jsckfruit classic and eggplant with chickpeas as the main course, to finish with red bananas and sticky rice with Msngo sauce. Serve with Indonesian beer and later matching red wine (Merlot from France and Temperanillo from Spain (Ribera del Duero). Small cozy restaurant, very hospitable. Gladly again.

Very nice restaurant, which is lovingly furnished and invites you to linger. The atmosphere makes you forget everyday life outside the door and switch off your everyday thoughts. We were served attentively and the food was very unique and full of different flavors (in a good way :-)). A very great place! We will be happy to come back.

A pretty nice vegetarian place in Oerlikon. Dapur will convince you that one really does not need meat to make a delicious dinner. The only thing I did not enjoy was the vegan pistachio ice cream - I don't recommend that. And the service could have been faster at times. But otherwise, great place!!

I really enjoyed this vegan Indonesian place right next to the Oerlikon train station. Staff was friendly and attentive. Sitting in their quiet outdoor patio, surrounded by plants was pleasant during a warm summer evening. I had the Bala-Bala as a starter and Gado-Gado with Tempeh and rice. The starter was to die for and the main dish really good as well. I only wish they offered the tasting menu for 1 person too.

For a special occasion for two, we spent a pleasant evening at Dapur. Because the weather was good, we were able to sit in the inner courtyard, although there are beautiful and even more beautiful places there. A reservation is always reserved for this. Because we weren't sure whether the rice table was too big for us, we finally decided on a mixed starter and two à la carte dishes with fried noodles as a side dish. While the starter was excellent in terms of taste (particularly because of the different preparation methods), the pasta was almost the most convincing of the main course. The staff was friendly and courteous and contributed significantly to the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. We'd love to come back! Unfortunately, the website does not show all the dishes that are available on the local menu.

Absolutely excellent and delicious food. Hadn’t had such delectable food in Zurich in such a long time. This is such a treasure! I simply have to return. The aubergine and seitan were my absolute favourites! Highly recommend! The staff are also extremely friendly, professional and polite. I also thought the pricing was very decent, if anything it’s extremely affordable for Zurich.

Food was great and varied. Really special, well-seasoned dishes. Ambience also very nice. Service was very nice. The only negative point was that it took a long time for the food to arrive.

The food was amazing!! It is quite expensive but worth the price for sure! :) It's such a treat to eat here and a place to come back for sure. The waitress were very friendly and we even got a whole plate of little desserts for my birthday for free. I would 10/10 recommend to treat yourself here even if it's a bit expensive, it's worth it! :)

The food was good but not exceptional. The service was very attentive. The price is a bit too high for me without an insert. The location is idyllic, but the tables are a bit close together.

Was there with my mother... I as half Indonesian and my mother from yoga were excited.... rice table... Service: very friendly and pleasant. Eating: a culinary journey back home. And everything is vegan...we didn't miss any meat. Local: inconspicuous from the outside, cozy and beautiful inside and the garden is an oasis... We were thrilled and had a very fulfilling evening. Location is cute but pretty small, so reservation is a must. Pleasant and calm ambiance and friendly staff! The dishes were very palatable and rich in flavour. The restaurant is rather expensive but definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic vegan Indonesian food. Family style presentation with interesting and intense flavors. My favorite dish was the Planted.Chicken Kecap.

Even though we hadn't made a reservation, they found a place for us. We treated ourselves to a 13-course meal and it was a real taste experience. The small terrace is very cozy and in the evening there is a pleasant atmosphere and it is very quiet. We have already recommended Dapur a few times to those who are not afraid of vegan food.

Dapur demonstrates just how good a plant based restaurant can be. Great atmosphere, good service and a varied and delicious menu - just be prepared to pay for it.

What a culinary experience! Simply incredibly delicious! The jackfruit stew with 21 spices was highly praised in numerous food blog reports...and yes, Rendang Nangka, the braised dish, is just as delicious as everyone claims, absolutely recommended! Tip: At the neighboring table, two people shared several (5-6) starters - a good idea to try out as many of the dishes as possible, because deciding on a dish is really difficult! Great restaurant, nice service, completely satisfied!

The food is always absolutely delicious. It is possibly the best restaurant I've been to in Zurich, vegan or not. The staff are also super nice and friendly, and are open to giving you recommendations if you'd like.

The first time in a vegan restaurant, the food was excellent! We had the rice platter with 11 dishes and a soup for starters. Each of the dishes was absolutely perfect! The price is a bit higher but absolutely justified! A top recommendation even if you’re not a vegetarian!

My expectations were probably too high and were not met. My dish (crispy Seitan with peanut sauce) had neither vegetables nor carbohydrates as a side dish. However, you could order the rice separately. The price is rounded up to 30.00 (as I said without any side dishes). I was also disappointed with the peanut sauce as it didn't taste much like peanuts. However, the service was nice and I think it's great that everything is vegan.
