Easy access to the highlights, great food and cozy room, courteous staff. There's access in front to see the river and Chapel bridge et al, and the reception area that has access to the back streets where shops and more restaurants are located. Had a cozy room on the 5th floor with a picturesque view of the city rooftops, and had a great 8 hr sleep as I buried myself in a generous amount of pillows. The staff were very friendly, specially Sara who helped me with the late checkout, had a nice conversation as well before leaving the hotel. As to pricing, I got a good deal since I made a reservation in advance in March.

Love, love, love this hotel. Spotlessly clean, incredibly helpful staff, delicious food in the restaurant, amazing room and fabulous location. Can’t wait to go back one day!!

Very nice hotel, rooms, free open air parking, breakfast is great, try the ricotta cheese! Just the bus connection to the lifts is not the best..

Meine Freundin und ich haben im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und der Service von Edin war spektakulär! Er hat sich ab dem ersten Moment hervorragend um uns bemüht, und Weine und Essen empfohlen und sich steht’s um unser Wohlbefinden bemüht! Einer der besten Kellner, nur weiter zu empfehlen!!!

Für mich das beste Restaurant in Luzern. An der wunderschönen Reuss geniesse ich hier gerne ab und zu ein Kaffee mit Kuchen. Auch am Mittag bietet das Des Alpes immer leckere Menüs. Freue mich bald wieder vorbeizukommen. 😍

Wir haben einen Tisch für 13:00 Uhr reserviert. Als wir um 12:55 beim Restaurant ankamen, sagte man uns man beginne erst jetzt mit dem tischen an der Reuss. Nunja das ist mir schon klar, wenn bis 12:45 noch der Markt aufgebaut ist und den Platz belegt. Doch warum kann man das bei der Reservation nicht erwähnen? Long story short: Um 13:45 konnten wir dann endlich unsere Bestellung aufgeben... Essen war dafür schnell da und sehr fein, Service war auch in Ordnung. So eine schöne Restaurant, leider zu wenig Personal. Die Personal war am springen . Am Personal kann man nicht sparen. Nach Wunsch, Geburtstag Tisch, haben wir nicht mal eine schöne dekorative Tisch bekommen. Service war fleissig . Leider das Essen war nicht so begeistert.

Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.Einziger Wehmutstropfen und Enttäuschung war für uns das Frühstücksbuffet. Uns störte bereits die viel zu laute Musik im Raum. Auf dem Tisch stand bereits das Brotkörbli mit 2 Mini-Gipfeli und Voll-und Kernenbrot bereit, sowie abgepackte Konfi (diese sollte man selber vom Buffet holen können)! Leider sind wir keine Vollkornbrot-Liebhaber. Ich musste aktiv nach "normalen Brot" und anderen Konfi fragen. Fleisch und Käse wurde in mini Portionen im Teller serviert. Auch darauf lag nicht alles was mich ansprach. Frische Früchte waren leider keine Vorhanden, dafür viel Trockenobst (Geschmacksache). Das "Buffet" war auf der Bar präsentiert. We ate on the terrace with a nice view of the river and the Kapellbrucke. We had to ask for the fondue menu because it is separate from the main menu. However, the fondue was truly excellent and served with good quality bread for dipping. Diners around us had quite a variety of dishes and it all looked good.
