New is a young family at the helm who are really trying very hard. Whether large groups or a nice table for two, spontaneous, quick, simply brilliant. Large parking lot in front of the door. New at Sääli, Fondue Burgignon or Chinoise a discretion with homemade sauces. Attentive and very friendly service, prices more than fair. Gladly again.

The Food was good but the staff was very unfriendly. Two staffs were very unmotivated and not dressed appropriately., one looked like she just got out of bed. I find that very unprofessional and rude towards the visitors. I got the pork chop with vegetables and fries. The vegetables had no flavor and were chewy, probably cooked in the morning.

Please make a little ecological effort: why plastic around bread and why plastic sauce pots?

The Du port was a good place to eat 20 years ago. Unfortunately there is nothing left. We ordered Kinder Turtel Platter (breaded schnitzel with fries) Crispy fish with fries and something like cream schnitzel but with a mushroom sauce. Plus a large mixed salad for 18.- When the turtle plates arrived I already suspected what awaited us. The breaded schnitzel was definitely from a kilo bag like the M-Budget in Migros. So the lowest quality. Fries, however, were good. Then came the fish and the cream schnitzel. The fish is definitely not fresh and not from Switzerland at the Swiss price. The cream schnitzel had a whitish sauce mixed with gravy that had a consistency as if it had been waiting for a buyer for days. The cook, if he even has such training, didn't even bother to stir them together properly. Smelled and tasted of nothing. Very nasty. When I scraped the thick, viscous sauce from the pieces of meat, I could see that the meat was dry and hard. Probably not fresh or fried to death. Just disgusting. The salad for 18.- was the size of a normal mixed salad, tomatoes and cucumbers, oh no, it was dry zucchini cut into strips because the cucumbers were probably out, really disgusting. There was no bread. Actually, we got ripped off. 120.- for such a meal must be banned. Where is the food inspection!!! Why is something like this allowed to exist? Never again… And when the bill came and we wanted to pay, we finally had to bring the money to the unmotivated and unfriendly waiter's daughter because she preferred to eat rather than do her job! I've NEVER eaten so badly. Recommended for a portion of fries or for an upset stomach. Otherwise, eat while camping or somewhere, you'll get better everywhere.

We were there as a group. Unfortunately, the following was noticed rather negatively: Bread was strangely packaged in plastic bags and was only brought when asked. Fish is not from Lake Biel! Was only answered when asked (Lake Constance and from Poland), salad dressing rather tasteless and not freshly made, only 1 very expensive vegetarian variant, ambience rather old and no view of the lake, service staff looked very tired, seemed demotivated and had some headphones on. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio doesn't really match.

In the middle of the afternoon we ate fish crispy, once with fries and once with salad. We really enjoyed that the kitchen was open all day. The service was friendly and very attentive. We didn't have to wait long either. We would be happy to come back.

The location is nice, including the garden outside. Unfortunately the staff was totally understaffed on a beautiful holiday day. The service was full of stress and it showed very well. Always running around to the guests and didn't have time to ask if they liked it or if they wanted to drink a glass of wine. The wine and dessert menu was lost. Even when ordering coffee, there was no question whether we wanted dessert. The perch fillet was good. They weren't stingy with the butter ;-) Fish and rice were almost swimming in hot butter. It's actually a nice place, but we don't come here anymore. For that it was too expensive and rather a mediocre experience. We are there for our 10 year wedding anniversary.

So, if this is supposed to be 4.2 stars, then I don't know anything about good food or reasonable prices. Bag salad with ready-made salad sauce, convenience coleslaw, canned corn, some grated zucchini, red cabbage salad, a quarter of a tomato (which is actually fresh) and two pieces of fried turkey breast rolled in curry with herb butter!? for 27 francs. This is then declared a fitness salad - but it only makes the owner's wallet fit. My wife had the combo plate - breaded pike-perch fillet with fries and ready-made tartar sauce, which is just re-portioned. The quantity of fish refers to the breaded pieces of fish - it was never 150 grams. This plate cost us 24 francs. Despite the location, this restaurant is absolutely not recommended in our opinion, at least not for eating out. I know bratwurst stands in front of hardware stores that are better. The beer was good, but, as is typical for the country, rather expensive. Two hours later, after a long walk with our dogs, the tartar sauce is still heavy in my wife's stomach.

Am very disappointed. Ordered a mushroom stroganoff. I got mushrooms from the bag with an overcooked ready-made gravy. You could smell this ready-made sauce from afar. When the nice waiter asked if it was good. I told the truth with a no. Then the boss came and denied everything. Everything is cooked himself and he certainly doesn't need any finished products. Although the salad dressing is certainly a ready-made product, as is the tartar sauce from the fish crispies that my husband ordered. (he also denied this) And when I told him that there were no pepperoni or pickles in this ready-made sauce and certainly no paprika like in a stroganoff, he said that that was his recipe and that we had the wrong taste. Nothing about insight or accommodating the guest. It was also confirmed at the next table that this was a ready-made gravy and certainly not a stroganoff. But we just have the wrong “Gout”!!!!

Only the staff is very nice. The large sun-faded plastic banners with photographed food at the entrance and on the outside fence of the restaurant indicate the kitchen's program in their own sense. The absolutely best restaurant in Switzerland 🇨🇭 We are eating there a few times a week. If I have a business meeting or just a few friends. Try it out you never want to go somewhere else. The only negative thing it's only open is the summer season. 10 out of 10.
