We had lunch at the Eintracht restaurant today. I am positively surprised by this cozy atmosphere. The menu is full of delicious dishes. I chose the rump steak with pepper sauce and my friend took the veal cordon bleu 500g. Unfortunately, the cheese in the cordon bleu was not melted or only partially melted and the meat was unfortunately dry. I ordered my rump steak saignantly and it was served to me that way. Unfortunately, the French fries were a little under-fried and under-seasoned. The pepper sauce does what it promises - there were enough peppercorns in the sauce. All in all it was a nice visit.

We meet regularly for lunch. Service always good and friendly. Food always excellent.

I recently had the displeasure of dining at what can only be described as the epitome of culinary disappointment, the "Dry Schnitzel Delight" restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a disastrous experience. The place exuded an aura of indifference, as if the staff had given up on any notion of providing a satisfying dining experience. Let's start with the schnitzel, or should I say, the "Dry Schnitzel." It's almost impressive how they managed to serve the driest, most flavorless schnitzel I have ever had the misfortune of consuming. I felt like I was chewing on a piece of cardboard with a vague pork-like essence. It was devoid of any juiciness or tenderness, as if it had been cooked in the desert sun for hours on end. I would have had a more enjoyable experience gnawing on a shoe. And don't even get me started on the portion of fries, or should I say, the microscopic ration of disappointment. For an exorbitant amount of money, I received a meager handful of fries that wouldn't even satisfy a hummingbird. I had to squint to spot them on the plate amidst the barren landscape of despair. It's baffling how they manage to charge such an astronomical price for a few strands of potato that were probably leftovers from someone's breakfast. Oh, and the service! If you enjoy waiting an eternity to pay your bill, then this place is a dream come true. After enduring the anguish of the tasteless schnitzel and minuscule fries, I was subjected to an agonizing 25-minute wait just to settle the bill. It was as if they were deliberately trying to make me regret ever stepping foot into their abysmal establishment. In conclusion, the "Dry Schnitzel Delight" restaurant has managed to achieve new depths of culinary disappointment. The dryness of the schnitzel, the laughable portion of fries, and the excruciatingly long wait to pay the bill all combine to create an experience that leaves a lasting impression of regret and frustration. Save your money, your taste buds, and your precious time, and steer clear of this restaurant unless you have a burning desire to experience the epitome of disappointment.

Today I was at Eintracht with the young group and we ordered the pork cordon bleu twice with raclette and twice with Gruyère cheese. Each of us was more than satisfied and the service was really very friendly! The quality of the food was great and you get a great piece of meat for what you pay! We sat outside on the terrace (highly recommended when the weather is nice). We didn't eat inside but it looked very cozy there too. We will come back!

The best cordon bleu in the world in Eintracht. Whenever we visit Basel, dinner at Eintracht is part of our standard program. We always order the delicious pork cordon bleu with a fresh salad, a real treat. Owner Jelena and her team are extremely friendly and a visit is highly recommended.

Once and never again! With the cordon bleu it might do a good job with the pork, but clearly not with the veal - the strange part was dry, hard and sometimes tough. But this shape? I know that bread comes out of bread machines square. But how do you do that with the cordon? My wife's 300 gram one looked like two dominoes on top of each other and my 500 gram one had another nice square part. But with the fatty cheese it was edible...Bajour Basel recommends you - I don't!!

I really enjoyed the food here! I didn't do any research beforehand so I didn't realize that the cordon bleu was a must. Instead, we had steak frites, one in a herb butter sauce and one in a pepper sauce. Before the food arrived, I started regretting my decision and thought I should have tried something other than steak and fries. But once I started eating, I couldn't stop. I ate everything on my plate, including all fries as they were excellent. For dessert, I had a panna cotta which was fine. They had some interesting themed desserts in the dessert menu worth checking out. The staff was friendly. The ambiance was alright. It's a really good space for large groups. They have seating on a terrace for when the days are nice. I would eat here again and try that cordon bleu!

I was here again today after 7 years. So I was really surprised at how things have changed. The new owners are very friendly and try to accommodate the guests' wishes. (wasn't the case before) Of course the food has become much better with this nice service. I will come back and can recommend it with the best of intentions.💪

No frills no fuss, a Cordon Bleu with 500 gr and Raclette Cheese. Very authentic and traditional local restaurant. Went there for the Cordon Bleu and was not disappointed. Swiss specials and more, the place is a bit old fashioned but the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Honestly, this restaurant visit is difficult to judge. We went to Eintracht for dinner today and each of us treated ourselves to a pork cordon bleu. The Cordon Bleus were of mediocre quality, but theoretically ok for the price (approx. 28 CHF for 300 g). Since my two colleagues were served the wrong cordon bleu, we were treated to coffee at the end. The dessert (the apple pie) was the highlight of our visit. The service tried to make our visit as pleasant as possible. Possibly Let's give Eintracht another chance in a few months, unfortunately we were disappointed today.

I'm there on average once a month and almost always eat the 🐷 Cordon Bleu traditional (it's with gruyere cheese) in different sizes. There is 300g for CHF 27.50 or 500g for 34.50. There are also fries. It's also available with raclette cheese, I think so. And they have a Cordon Bleu available to order for CHF 51.00, weighing 1kg. Garden restaurant, you sit under the trees. Als erstes wurde ich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass ich um eine ungünstige Zeit anrufe. Des Weiteren wurde mir gesagt, ich soll pünktlich erscheinen und zum Schluss, als ich gefragt habe, ob sie draussen Platz haben, fragte der nette Kellner oder was immer er sein mag, ob ich noch Fragen habe und ob ich ihn jetzt weiter arbeiten lasse. Lieber Kellner, Reservierungen entgegennehmen gehört zu Ihrer Hauptaufgabe. Ganz egal, um welche Uhrzeit der Kunde anruft. Schon ein mal daran gedacht, dass die meisten während der Arbeitszeit nicht anrufen können? Die Bedienung ist in einem Restaurant das A und O und beginnt schon beim Telefonat. Ich habe Sie ja nicht unnötig aufgehalten. Hätten Sie Ihre rücksichtslosen Bemerkungen weggelassen, wäre unser Gespräch um einiges schneller vorbei gewesen.

Ein wunderschöner Garten Erwartete uns. Herrlich. Wurden freundlich Begrüsst. Der bestellte Apero liess lange auf sich Warten. Viel zu lange. Endlich war er da. Das Essen und auch ein Wein wurde Bestellt. Die Tagessuppe war Heiss und sehr Fein. Die Salate lieblos auf den Teller Präsentiert. Auch die Hauptgänge sind lieblos, ohne Freude Angerichtet. Siedfleisch salat war viel zu fein Geschnitten, kleine Fleischportion, viel Blattsalat.Die warmen Speisen Lauwarm. Der Service zumteil Überfordert, obwohl nicht sehr viel los war. Der Wein kam übrigens erst als der Hauptgang auf dem Tisch Stand!!Wir werden eine weitere Chance geben, da der Garten schön ist.

Whether new or old chef, the restaurant is caught in the negative vortex. Examples: the order is canceled after 30 minutes of waiting, the goods are simply not there (and that seriously takes 30 minutes!!!?) The service takes phone calls (and happily discusses them), forgetting that there are waiting customers. The service, in general, doesn't think it's necessary to serve the most beautiful beer garden according to its own advertising (laughable). Customers were served after I let them know in the restaurant that there were people waiting There are people who are simply unbelievable how indifferently people work there. The would-be most beautiful beer bar in Kleinbasel is an unkempt area overlooked by children's toys and dying plants...care seems to be a foreign word. Numerous conversations with the owner and the staff in which these points were raised...are dismissed with blanket excuses...this outdated "restaurant" is really no longer worth a visit. And I say this as a former regular customer. Addendum June 25, 2019, The garden has now been significantly upgraded. but because the garden is no longer dead: +1 star.

Definitiv eines meiner favorisierten Lokale in Basel. Kein „Nobelschuppen“ - sondern ganz brave Hausmannskost. Und genau darum geht es hier. Hier gibt es nämlich gut bürgerliche Küche - aber auf aller höchstem Niveau. Das Cordon - Bleu Classic sticht dabei ganz gross heraus... Tolles Fleisch - guter Schinken und ein feiner Käse - perfekt paniert und gebrutzelt... Einfach Weltklasse. Und auch das Pfeffersteak - Aller erste Sahne... genau so wie die Pasta Gerichte.Hier gibt es währschafte bürgerliche Küche zu äusserst fairen Preisen - serviert von netten Leuten. Das einzige wirkliche Problem sind die öfters mal längeren Wartezeiten - wenn der Laden - wieder einmal - bis zum letzten Stuhl restlos ausgebucht ist.Also - wenn es gut bürgerlich und / oder wenn es ein Cordon Bleu sein soll - dann führt hier kein Weg vorbei. Ich komme bestimmt wieder...

Food prices friendly staff 5 star for that sure. Toilets super clean. WIFI fast. Space enough to chat for houres. I like the massive funiture. Attitude of the customers is also great.
