The food is always great!!!! Service is top!!! Thanks to the employees. The decoration is also very good but a bit dark.

The staff is nice and the place is cool. The food though is just awful! We ordered fajita with chili con carne (31.-) and a chicken burrito with french fries (36.-!!!!!!!!!!!). The fajita was just ok, nothing special but the burrito was a shame!!! 30.- for a very small tasteless fast food. You should be embarassed to value that thing 30.- If you go to any kebab you will have a much better product for 10.- and you leave with a full belly. Very disappointing. Never again!!!

We were totally satisfied with our visit. The food tasted great and the cocktails were great too. Even though we came spontaneously without a reservation, the friendly staff found us a table. Nevertheless, I would recommend making a reservation in advance during peak times. Really recommended!

A great restaurant for Mexican food! Due to the birthday party we arrived a bit towards the end. The staff was still very understanding and took all of our orders very friendly! Both the starter and the main course tasted excellent! (The one platter as a starter with a bit of everything on it is highly recommended!). At the end there was a birthday drink on the house and we shared our cake with the employees. Overall we had a very pleasant evening. Thanks!

Went to El Mosquito again last week, the juiciest spare ribs are always a delight. So far I haven't been able to find such delicious spare ribs anywhere else, I'm almost always disappointed when they're recommended to me in a restaurant and they're nowhere near the ones from Mosquito... As for the side dish, I wouldn't order the Mexifrites, they've been rather dry lately. But otherwise a great restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and great service! We'll definitely come back more often ;-)

I recently went to dinner with friends at El Mosquito. I particularly liked the ambience. It is decorated with a lot of heart and joy. The menu is extensive and you will find something for everyone. I liked the vegetarian fajitas. The service is friendly. Price-performance ratio is reasonable, for me personally the portions are a bit big, so it's better to be hungry 😉

We all enjoyed it. The children were given something to paint. The facility is very nicely decorated and attention has been paid to many small details. It might be a bit dark for some visitors. It didn't bother us.

The best spareribs I've ever eaten!!!

The facility is brilliant. Unfortunately that was it, the food, price and service were not convincing. The menu on a tablet PC is confusing, you then order verbally from the waitress and half of it is forgotten. A liter of sparkling tap water for 9.50 francs from a carafe is quite cheeky. Unfortunately, the food itself was drowned in a strange mayonnaise, and what could be saved was put on sour cream. The fajitas were served cold despite being in an insulated container. Despite warnings, allergies were not taken into account. There was no paper in the toilets. Conclusion: It's worth a visit for a beer, the facility is really worth seeing. Unfortunately I can't recommend table water or food.

Very fine, large selection, authentic, everything perfect

El Mosquito is our favourite tex-mex in Switzerland. Love coming back to the cute old town of sursee to enjoy their friendly service, giant menu of delicious food. They also have amazing drinks but I come here for the food! In our latest visit, We arrived in a sunday afternoon with no reservation, the attendant was quick to arrange us a table in the middle of the room but told us 'if you dont like it you are welcome to have a drink at the counter until a table frees up.' That already won me over! Noting we were just coming back from a weekend in Vevey, Vaud, where they dont even bother speaking with you ...they just place a sign: sorry, we are fully booked....ugh so irritating. Anyway, Mosquito in Sursee....had a delicious passion fruit ice tea with real passion fruit! A treat! Husband had a virgin strawberry daiquiri which was a fresh dessert on its own. Juicy hamburger cooked to perrction and nachos con chili con carne came fast and were delicious. Will always come back! Next time i will definetly make sure to take photos of the food😍😍 forgot to mention: why only 4 stars for Atmosphere? Smokers are standing in front of the entrance door in rainy days smoking their heart out and blowing smoke inside the restaurant. Smells like a smokers bar.😶 Urgently need to build an outer structure for people to smoke far away from the door!

Unfortunately, the starters have become smaller in recent years... You just expect more for this price. I hope you adapt the Natchos Ultimate plates again...after all, they cost enough

The best address when it comes to Mexican food. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food, from cheesy nachos to beef and chicken fajitas, was simply delicious. Well seasoned and prepared – it was a really pleasant evening with you. We would like to come again. We could only marvel at the ambience, the whole interior design was great and we felt comfortable the whole time. Many thanks to the entire team.

Even though I was here spontaneously (without a reservation), I was allowed to sit at the bar counter. I thought that was very nice. The employees are all very friendly. The food was very tasty. It is also prepared very quickly. I didn't have to wait long. I will definitely eat something here again.

Unfortunately we only give it 3 stars The food is more Tex Mexx than Mexican Unfortunately, the jambalaya dish isn't really original either. It is offered with fried vegetables which turned out to be a cooked canned mix and had no taste whatsoever. Jambalaya is actually a Creole stew with Spanish and French influences. Thanks to the tomatoes, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper and herbs, this rice and vegetable dish has an incredible amount of flavor, mostly with kidney beans as a vegetarian version The chili con carne wasn't bad, I would describe it as average so not something that would be particularly recommended. I would have expected more given the food prices. The service is very good, attentive, quick and professional, unfortunately dogs are not offered anything to drink, therefore only 4 points

We wanted to do something outside today but they said that the other side of the terrace was not allowed to be used. There were at least 30 free places outside that we weren't allowed to use. Never again El Mosquito and no longer recommended. You don't have to answer that either. This afternoon's arrogance is enough.

Surprisingly great: the first impression is a bit “shabby” until you check that the Mexican tavern theme has been implemented perfectly down to the last detail. Simple but very good cuisine - well prepared, seasoned and presented! Finally a kitchen that really knows what they are doing - big compliment! Service very friendly and prompt! All in all, an absolute insider tip for anyone who likes to eat well!! Bravo and well deserved 5 stars!!!

I think it's a shame that the guacamole on a burrito isn't fresh, but rather from a can. Too expensive for the many finished products. Very friendly staff, nicely decorated.

Got menu in the form of an IPad. You can also order via iPad and choose when you would like which food/drink - it was still in the works for us but it will definitely work soon. It definitely takes some getting used to at first, but it's a great idea and something different! Very quiet and cozy location even when it is full. Speaking of crowded... I'd recommend making a reservation - it's very popular. The toilets are a bit very dark. Otherwise very satisfied! Gladly again!

Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for fajtas In my opinion that was far too long. opposite in Langenthal it was 30-40 minutes

Excellent atmosphere with not too loud ambiance music. The menu is vast (but only in German, so use your phone to translate) and the service was reasonably quick. The prices are quite high but we are paying for the experience. The food could be better but it is well presented.

Most mediocre restaurant experience I've had in Switzerland to date. Unauthentic and uninspired food, and the only thing margarita about their margarita was the glass. If there is even one Mexican person involved in this restaurant, I would be surprised. 2 stars for service as the young girl attending probably did her best. 3 stars for atmosphere because, inexplicably, the restaurant was almost full, so it felt quite lively, although still unauthentic.

The staff is friendly, but we waited 50 minutes for the appetizer. And then to the main course for another 45 until we asked if we would get another dish soon.

The food was great as always. However, we were disappointed with the service. We were hardly asked if we wanted anything else. Only when we answered did anyone come. Even when we wanted to pay we had to stand up and say so as we were ignored. It's a shame... although there weren't as many people there anymore...

Unfortunately, you can't make a reservation outside, and even though you have a reservation and there is space available outside, you can't get it because you're waiting outside without a reservation 🙈
