We went for a friend's birthday. Sitting pleasantly on the terrace, we ate a super delicious paradilla. we also had the chance to tour the cellar which has exceptional bottles because the owner is a great connoisseur. For VIPs, there is limanchego, the hidden specialty of the house 🤫

Friendly welcome at first but the woman was in a hurry!! Too rushed. We quickly chose the dishes and wines because she came back only 2 minutes later... In addition, our two dishes were tasteless and unacceptable for this price. It’s expensive so having food that is soaked in oil and poorly cooked is not acceptable. Not enough salt, the fish was dry, hard to cut (!) and too much, too much bone, everything was bathed in oil... The taste of oil remained in the mouth. In the other dish, the shrimp were not shelled well enough but were fresh and the clams were very bland. The vegetables seemed cooked in water and were still swimming in oil. The comments seem very good but tonight was bad. For the first time, we left during the meal unfortunately. No commercial gesture. The wine was okay.

A magnificent discovery! What a joy to let yourself be carried away by this very high quality Spanish cuisine. We tasted the Galician octopus, grilled calamaretti, and braised cod. It was just sublime. Next time it will be paella, my favorite dish! Thank you to the whole family for this wonderful time spent at your home. We will be back very soon!

We went for a somewhat romantic dinner, and it was just great. The paella was hot, flavored, delicious, and the service was perfect, with good wine recommended. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I congratulate the entire establishment.

I hate writing a bad review. But I feel here that I have no choice. I know this restaurant well from the past, the chef is a lovely man and a great cook. However... Having not been for a while I visited the restaurant again last week. No problem with the food, apart from the fact that both dishes were strangely cold on arrival at the table and had to be sent back. Not as cold as the service though, and hence the reason for this review. Is it the chef's wife who looks after the service (alone)? It's not possible to imagine being made to feel less welcome. Service without a smile, it was like being at a funeral. I observed the old woman serving other customers, she tries to make an effort when she sees that there is money to be made. But the poor single dîner ? She made me feel I was just wasting her time. A seriously terrible attitude. A warning to couples looking for a romantic night out : Avoid !!

Very nice restaurant with Iberian flavors. Simple starters good for sharing (garlic shrimp and grilled cuttlefish). Paella with squid ink. A first. With all the fish and seafood it contains, a great discovery. Attentive and warm service. Good value for money. I will return and recommend it.

A welcoming Spanish corner, in which you can enjoy well-prepared Spanish dishes.

We were with my husband for a dinner. First of all, I have to say that this is an institution which has been in Geneva for 50 years. There are not so many places which have the same history. Secondly, they have a small cosy terrace with a new rug on the floor and comfortable chairs. We were very well received, although the lady ( she is the owner) was all alone to provide a service. Very friendly, with a nice warm smile and without familiarity. She had been helpful when we asked her advise and quite rapid in the service. As for the food, we had an octopus in Galleg style and a cuttlefish with garlic as an entry and for the main course I have had a grilled octopus with caramelized onions and raisins 🍇. Whereas, my husband took a burbot accompanied with small vegetables and potatoes and a grilled octopus. Accompanied with a nice sangria our dinner was delicious. We have had one dessert to share and a coffee. All was delicious. For all these joy the bill was 160 CHF. I think it is correct for a FRESH sea food and a fish. Especially, that the portions are really big. I couldn’t finish my plate. Updates to make. We have spend there a Saturday night. No words enough to describe. An outstanding service. They change plates several times, cutleries and provide a table service. The son of owner has advised us a great wine and kindly offered us sangria. I adore this place. We will definitely get back there and I advise you this place as the best Spanish restaurant in Geneva with extraordinary food, great service and descent prices. Thank you! We will be back. We have popped in last night for dinner. What to add? They are not changing. Food is always delicious, service is always friendly, always the same family. May God bless you and give you prosperity!

Restaurant espagnol géré par la famille situé près de la gare.Cuisine espagnole traditionnelle, avec des plats excellents et très bien servis, en plat du jour comme à la carte : calamars, poulpe à la galicienne, paella, gambas à l'ail, fideua, couteaux, pétoncles ...Sur commande la veille il est possible d'avoir de super poissons frais : bar en croûte de sel, turbot à la plancha, crevettes sauvages carabineros ... un régal!Le service est top, de l'arrivée jusqu'au café / digestif (23/46...)Il y a tellement d'adresses à Genève qui donnent envie de passer son chemin, là franchement on y retourne chaque fois avec plaisir.

Ridicule. Ça fait plusieurs fois qu’on vient. Plusieurs fois qu’on est accueillies, servies comme des moins que rien. Madame HAIT son métier, elle est à deux doigts de la crise de nerfs. Dans ce cas madame il faut démissionner. Service glaciale, madame lève les yeux aux ciels à chaque question.On doute du « fait maison » mais vu qu’elle se braque, on n’a pas le droit de l’ouvrir. C’est du n’importe quoi. Encore une fois, c’est excessivement cher, 3 tapas 60 francs. Geneve ok mais on se moque de qui LÀ ??Pour du surgelé. Et vraiment SERVICE PITOYABLE de A à Z. Passez CLAIREMENT votre chemin. Ah et si vous fumez, munissez vous d’un cendrier qui pend à votre clope sinon c’est la fessée, comme à l’époque.

Une très belle découverte à Genève d’un restaurant traditionnel espagnol de qualité. C’était juste avant le confinement déclaré par Bern et nous avions décidé d’utiliser notre Buyclub Vaucher pour découvrir ce restaurant. Bien nous a pris. J’ai découvert de nouveaux plats succulents (voir les photos). Les portions sont généreuses comme vous pouvez le constater sur les photos et nous nous sommes offert une belle bouteille de vin rouge qui se fusionnait parfaitement avec nos entrées et plats choisis. Le personnel était espagnol et à l’écoute des clients. La table correctement préparée avec une nappe et des serviettes en tissus et les bon verres adaptés pour un tel vin. Une très belle découverte à garder en tête après ce confinement indéterminé. Bravo et à bientôt.

Excellent service and customer service, very kind and cordial, father, son and the other employees. They have a good, fairly extensive menu, and dishes as if you were in Spain. Very good dishes, with great flavor and in generous quantities. We tried some delicious beans with clams that looked like butter, as did the octopus... some excellent ham croquettes... the squid... everything was delicious. Very well treated products. They also have Spanish liquors that you don't find anywhere else in Geneva. It is very well located, very close to Gare Cornavin, less than five minutes away. We will return and repeat.

Ce restaurant aurait pu avoir une meilleure note si l'accueil et le service tout du long n'avaient pas été aussi glaciales... Je ne comprends pas les avis positifs sur le service. Pas un sourire, devisagée en entrant, pas un regard à la prise de commande, pas d'attention envers les clients. On ne nous a même pas proposé à boire, on a du rappeler la serveuse (certainement la patronne) pour avoir des boissons.Pour un restaurant espagnole on s'attend quand même à une bonne ambiance, voir familiale. Heureusement que les tapas et la paella étaient très bons. La dessus zéro reproche, la cuisine est bonne et généreuse. Une jolie carte de vins espagnole. Par contre les prix, un peu cher à mon goût, environ 42.- les paellas et les tapas entre 15 et 30.-. Mais pour Genève ce n'est pas non plus surprenant. L'addition serait mieux passée si le service avait été agréable et souriant.J'espère que si je reviens l'accueil et le service seront au rendez-vous.

Franchement les deux points que je mets sont uniquement pour la nourriture. La paella était vraiment délicieuse, et conséquente. Les tapas aussi, bien que TROP TROP chères.Sinon l’accueil était glacial. On s’attend à arriver dans un restaurant chaleureux avec de la musique espagnole. Non. On arrive le patron nous fixe comme si nous n’avions rien à faire la. Finalement on s’installe dans la salle du dessus étrangement silencieuse. On attend 5 mn pour les cartes. Aucun sourire évidement de la part de la serveuse (sûrement la patronne aussi). Elle prend notre commande, sans nous demander si on veut boire quelque chose. On a du la rappeler pour qu’elle prenne nous boissons. Bref, le sourire est en option et c’est bien dommage. Ils ont tout pour faire de ce restaurant un endroit chaleureux à l’espagnole, et bien non.Jen profite aussi pour dire que faudrait peut-être pas exagérer non plus au niveau des prix. Les “entrées” sont des tapas et sont facturées 20-30.-. Une marge je veux bien, mais la c’est peut-être un peu excessif.De la bonne humeur, de la musique, des prix attractifs et on revient, sinon vous allez passer aux oubliettes.

I had a mixed experience in El Ruedo. Food was OK, owner of the restaurant was friendly. However, the waitress was a rude person. She asked us to move from one table to another even though the table was not reserved. She didn't simile even once and rushed her service. For me the quality of services in a restaurant is important. L'accueil y est sympathique, étant fan du poulpe j'ai tenté le poulpe façon Chef, j'ai beaucoup aimé, le poulpe étais super tender (signe de sa fraicheur) le plat goutu et bien assaisonné ! Et au vue des autres plats que j'ai vu défilé, ça donne une furieuse envie de retourné et de tenter les autres plats !

j'avais très envie d'une paella.. ce restaurant me paraissait une très bonne idée. de plus c'etait l'anniversaire de ma fille. mais quelle déception. Nous avons été accueillies sans un sourire.. comme si nous dérangions. Une fois installées, la patronne ou la serveuse nous a tout simplement envoyées baladées lorsque ma fille voulait lui poser une question sur la carte.. bref on a payé la consommation et sommes parties. jamais je n'y remettrai les pieds
