The ice cream is amazing, the cookies delicious, the coffee over priced, the owner… I thought she was nice at first. I used to go there from the day they opened quite often. Almost 2-3 times a week. Would talk about my favorite flavors and asking when they would be back. Even voted for them to win their best vegan cafe award in 2022. It was all very charming. And then one day I was sitting down having coffee and cookies with my boyfriend, and my friend who lives nearby came down to see us. He sat with us and caught up, and he was thinking about ordering something as well but wasn’t sure. But first he needed to use the bathroom. He went to use the bathroom and came back and sat down. The owner herself came to our table to tell him that the bathroom is only for customers in a tone that was quite rude. Safe to say he wasn’t going to order anymore, so he responded with “It’s a good thing my friends are customers then.” To which she responded, “Yes, THEY are customers.” We then asked if she wanted us to leave, because after that passive aggressive hostility, we were leaving. So off putting especially since I was a regular. From two loyal customers she lost us 3 for good.

Great plate of waffles! Appreciable vegan ice cream. Nice waitresses. I recommend going for a taste. I had reserved 1 hour before on Instagram and when I arrived a table was waiting for me with my first name.

Every time you visit the ice cream is even better - I have no idea how the charming owner does it. Everything is of course vegan, many varieties are gluten-free and taste simply fantastic! On an addiction scale of 1 - 10, a straight 12!

My second time here after returning in Basel, and just like the other time the ice cream is absolutely fantastic. The small gelateria/cafe is a great alternative for people wishing to try vegan ice-cream, and as an Italian I can tell you that the ice cream isn’t just vegan in preparation and ingredients, it tastes absolutely good. The shop, besides of course also doubling as mini-cafe, has generally an offer of 12 ice creams, 4 are monthly specials and 8 are so-called “always flavors”, which you can check on the website to see in advance what you’d like to order onsite. This time I took the strawberry matcha and vanilla raspberry flavors together, which was an interesting combination not just by themselves but also together, mixing a bit of the strong matcha flavors with the sweetness of the vanilla and raspberry. The place is very cozy and has a mixture of pastel and soothing colors both for the furniture and the art on the walls, very chill atmosphere to enjoy, especially on the weekend, and perfect for Summer. All the ingredients are organic and everything is handmade, for the prices and the quality overall the cost is more than understandable and fair. And of course staff is friendly, speaks English and accepts electronic cards in case you don’t have money available with you. Absolutely recommended visit for both vegan and non-vegan, you won’t be disappointed.

I am always amazed by Enila's creations. A large selection of ice creams and cookies for all tastes. And today's waffle brunch didn't disappoint either - all three types were incredibly tasty. Of course, the café also impresses with its cozy atmosphere and first-class service. + 3 regular customers 😉

I can't understand the positive reviews at all. Unfortunately, the air in the store was very unpleasant. Also, the employee was so unfriendly!!! Nothing was explained to us or we were not greeted warmly. The food is too expensive and unfortunately doesn't have much taste - we had the waffle brunch! The chai latte was 6.- and was only a small glass… so the price/performance ratio doesn't match. 🙄 Unfortunately not recommended at all.

Today I wanted to enter with my 4-year-old and use the bathroom and asked politely about it as my kid needed to pee. The salesperson, said it was only for clients and even though I mentioned it was for my child she refused and didn’t let us use the toilet unless we buy something. Well, now for sure I will never buy anything in this ice cream shop. Because of your rudeness, lack of empathy and basic human kindness you lost two clients who usually really enjoy ice cream.

As good as vegan ice cream can get. And some cozy drinks too! We loved the cafe so much we have to be asked to leave at closing time. Will return soon :)

Great Ice cream, great initiative - personally I'd use like half the sugar, because I feel it's a shame for the other aromas that get covered by the sweetness. Maybe you can make a low-sugar special?

Went there several times, loving the creamy scoops and excellent cone! Speciality are their seasonal flavors, right now pumpkin cheese cake. I am wishing for more fruity + creamy varieties though, what about persimmon, fig, mango etc?!

Amazing ice cream with huge chunks of chocolate, cake, brownie etc. depending on the flavour. Definitely recommend also to non vegans, better than most milk based ice cream.

I’ve been going to Enila’s since it opened back in late May. The concept and ambition of the ice cream deserves 5-stars. Bravo for taking the initiative! It pains me to therefore have to give 4-stars, but I just find the ice creams to be way too sweet, at times even sickly sweet. Given how much time and effort is made to do everything from scratch and in-house (and using seasonal ingredients), it’s a shame that the excess sugar takes away from what would be even more fantastic flavours. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d love to see the sugar scaled back, or at least a low-sugar option included. Keep up the great work!

Although the reviews looked very positive, I can't write a good review after my visit. The employee was very unfriendly. I felt very uncomfortable. She wasn't at all happy that I came with my disabled daughter. We feel very badly treated. The employee/cafeteria is not disabled friendly. In addition, the coffee machine was already turned off 1 hour before the store closed. A pity… Where has common sense actually gone? It's all about money...

Lovely vegan ice-cream. I choose vanilla and salted-caramel . I paid 4,50chf for one scoop which was really big. Friendly and good services .

I could not recommend Enila enough! After trying many vegan ice creams, both from grocery stores and other ice creams stores, I can say that Enila’s are the very best! Each flavor was so creamy and delicious! My personal favorite was peanut butter cookie dough, although they were all perfection!

Tried the two July varieties Wildberry Pie and Nougat & Pretzel today and immediately fell in love. How can an ice cream be so creamy and the mix-ins so crunchy? It was ok. Even though the flavours were creative and fresh, the balance in the complexity of taste-layers was not there in the 3 chosen ones. It was all a bit drenched in sweetness that dulled the taste of the single ingredients. The slightly chewy cone didn’t help the somewhat lacklustre experience. And the lack of fresh and light vegan sorbets was a bit baffling. But to master the art of a spectacular sorbet is a challenge on its own.
