Cool place...you just have to go there when you're in Basel.

More rubble than wood. But much to see and pretty soon everything will be open for the summer again. Rest assured, it doesnt matter if you are in search of good food, drinks, a haircut, scenic and even kitschy sunsets - ...a bowl of soup, regular yoga classes or just a stroll round the impressive scenery and blabla the list goes on, better just check it out for yourself.

Unfortunately only an interim use area (extended by the Basel government until 2024), but what ONE thing since 2014: Klybeck wood park! Space, utopia for cultural and creative things right on the Rhine. And the converted former lighthouse ship “Gannet” (fiery red British ship from 1954) was converted into a cultural center and restaurant in 2021 after two years of renovation.

A very nice and original cozy place, everything I will repeat the visit, I loved the good ginger, lemon and honey tea, how good everything is!!

Absolutely recommended for an adventure meal, it only has pasta, so not much choice but it was tasty. We waited quite a long time for the food, but the staff was friendly.

Mega location. Something for everyone. Not possible at all in one visit. But you don't have to, there's so much to see that it's always worth it. For me one of the best places in Basel. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

An absolute must when traveling in Basel. In summer the perfect meeting place to enjoy a cool drink with friends while experiencing art and music. The “other” Basel is worth it for young and old. From delicious homemade iced tea to a cold beer to Arabic delicacies, there is everything that makes your heart beat faster. And even with a small budget, the klybeckquai is absolutely doable: you can also bring your own drinks and food.

Best fondue in Basel. Highly recommend as long as available.

A very special spot in Basel. Influenced by the alternative scene, the Holzpark Klybeck becomes the most fascinating place in Basel IN summer. Exciting art performances, great parties, great food and all in an incredible setting, right in the harbor area on the Rhine. Bringing your own food or drinks is not frowned upon and this means that the wooden park is absolutely usable even with a small budget. A must for every scene and art lover!

It is one of my favourit alternatives places in basel. I hope it lasts for a long time. A cultural enrichment for every city.

These alternative residential and “art” buildings in Basel, located directly on the banks of the Rhine, are definitely worth seeing! This (actual) industrial wasteland probably won't exist for that long! So... just go and have a look!

Something different - *alternative* and interesting.

Very pleasant place to have a small or large drink in the evening. There are many different drinks at the bars and the service is always very friendly. The whole environment and furnishings have their own sweet charm. Right next to it is the Rhine, where you can cool off.

Bring an interesting and unusual place, I liked the graffiti so I came and saw Punks, Rastafarians, drinking and smoking a lot!

Really nice beach bar (actually a river) vibe, set between freight containers. Cash only so make sure to come with it.

Actually a great place, great alternative scene, creative, beautifully located on the Rhine. Unfortunately there is rubbish and broken glass lying around everywhere. Therefore only 2 stars...

It's a bit out of the city center, but if you like a relaxed hippie environment and want to smoke a spangle, you can do it legally here under the right conditions... 😁 😁😁

The place has a cool atmosphere and a lot to discover and all the people are very nice and helpful

First time there in the summer... Nice place to be.

A carelessly thrown away cigarette and the whole place is on fire. It's a wonder that this hasn't happened on so many occasions. Sometimes "bonfires" are set up and people throw in random combustible parts that should not be burned for health reasons. Unfortunately, it is also home to aggressive left-wing extremists who do not tolerate any authority (except themselves). If an argument escalates during a major event and someone is injured, it will be difficult for even an emergency caller to get through unscathed.

Great for strolling around. Chances are you will see a quality theater or music performance. Drinks are expensive (kind of inadequate for this "alternative" stylization). Try the food stands, very good this year.
