We had booked for 3 nights via booking.com and were traveling with senior citizens (70 years and above). booking.com and the falken am rotsee website, both did not mention that there was no elevator. When paying over $500 per night, we did not think that we would need to call ahead to ask if they had an elevator or not (no other hotel we've visited for this price has not had an elevator.) We even requested booking.com to speak to them - which they very kindly did - but the owners would just not budge. So then we agreed to stay there for one night (with the senior citizens staying in another hotel with an elevator) and get refunded for the next two nights to which they disagreed. Finally, they agreed to cancel the last night. As we finalized this, the owner got so angry, he started shouting at us. One of the senior citizens in our group took a photo of the owner so we would have proof of whom the person was when lodging a complaint. On seeing this, THE OWNER CHARGED TOWARDS THE SENIOR CITIZEN, GRABBED HER FROM HER BACK AND TRIED TO SNATCH HER PHONE! She fell to the ground and injured her back. The other staff members not only did not help, but instead told us that we should not have clicked the photo! Unfortunately, we could not place a complaint with booking.com because since we never ended up staying at that hotel (of course, after all this) we could not file a complaint with them. I am so frustrated.
