We made reservations for lunch today but the restaurant was closed! There is no information on the website! Reservation was OK! But no one picks up the phone! And no notes on site! Email address is no longer correct! What's that supposed to mean?!

Good quality of the Chu-Toro. Unfortunately, the wasabi is processed straight away and not delivered separately. The sushi rice also didn't have the desired quality (not sticky/bound enough, moist on the outside, dry on the inside and still slightly warm). The Sencha is brewed with boiling water that is far too hot.

The ambiance is nice. Music is also nice. Food was also ok but in my opinion overpriced for the quantity you get. The worst of all was the service. Not properly greeted when we entered, was not able to explain us the menu (had to ask twice), we were served a plate that we didn’t order (note that at the time there were only two tables occupied, ours and one other) and in general not friendly. A tip for the management. Place some fotos in your menu, so that people get an idea what they will get.

Ranks Top 2 of Japanese restaurants in Zurich. The owner is present and takes pride in serving the best quality available. Fantastic presentation. At lunchtime small menu selection but well to choose from. Dinner recommended. Personally love this place and return regularly.

Absolutely fantastic food. Best Japanese food I ate so far in Zürich. If you use the discount from TheFork you should ask about which items (e.g. specials) are excluded, that's not very clear.

Ridiculous. don't even expect to get food they show in the photo. Small overpriced portions with mediocre taste. Service looks rude, the stuff constantly looks askance, chefs work without gloves: first they touch everything around with their hands, and then they make you sushi :D Never again!

The food, especially the fish quality, is exceptionally good. The service could be better, for example recommending quantities, as the individual portions are very small. We (2 people) ordered 2 starters, 1 temaki, and grill (salmon, chicken and mushroom) and 1 dessert. Including green tea and 1 mineral CHF 150.- but we weren't really full (admittedly we eat well). Still very much worth further visits.

Maybe because we had a deal through the Fork, but I think our experience was quite representative for the restaurant. The food was just ok. The meat was absolutely nothing special and very salt. The octopus tasted the same. Overal: far too pricey for the quality.

To start off, it is not the worst, but also not the greatest restaurant to go to. The food and fish quality is definitely good, as well as all the other food. The ambience could get a little bit more love. A common mistake that many restaurants do, is that the music is too loud, so you had to scream to talk to each other. The Staff is untrained, you can see that when they interact with you and take your order, but they are friendly, so there is room for improvement. For the price you have to pay, it is not worth it. What I see is potential, so I hope Famo will improve, but sadly not enough for a higher rating in that price category. Was it a good one time experience? Yes. Would I go there again any time soon? No, not until improvement has been made

Very bad service. The food we ordered was forgotten several times. We always had to point out to the waitress that we had ordered something else and were waiting for it. The waitress didn't even know the menu and always had to ask about everything and she was very unfriendly. We weren't said goodbye as we left, we left without a word being said. In addition, what is on offer is far too expensive, there is something nearby like the Metropol which is much better and the service is also very good.

Food in general was good, nice selection of sake. However, service was catastrophic, zero willingness to contact us. The waitress couldn't even explain the ingredients, dish or wine recommendations to us in two words. Cutlery was always put away or basic soy sauce wasn't brought to the table, which was a very tiring evening. Second chance? Yes, if you offer your guests better and more competent service.

Excellent Japanese. We went spontaniously and had a very pleasant experience. Deliscious high quality food, I’m not normally a huge tuna sashimi fan but this was a difference experience. The courses are generally more adventures than what we are used too from other similar restaurants in Zurich. Cool little restaurant and a great wine list. Got a feeling of being dining in London:-)

Awful service and staff. They let other people in who were not on the guest list, but they did not let me in without providing any reason. It was a pure act of targeted discrimination by the organiser of the event. I was even threatened by the restaurant staff to be dragged out by their "security guards" if I did not leave on my own. Never have I been treated so disrespectfully in a restaurant. Worst experience ever.

The place is nice and cozy. The staff was friendly, welcoming and pretty fast. The food was not bad, but it was underwhelming. Everything tasted bland. It was not a bad experience, but I don't think I would repeat it.

Best meal I had in a while in Zurich. Definitely coming back , the fish with the jollof rice and plantains is a most!
