Fernweh Bar in Bern

Pretty, cozy bar in Altstadtkeller with crocodile, karaoke and concerts!

Since I discovered the Fernweh Bar at the every second Thursday karaoke party, I have become a karaoke regular. Lena at the bar is very kind, friendly and already knows my drink request. As I'm in Thailand for 4 months, I'll definitely be there again in the second half of March. Always a pleasure and very nice and cheerful guests in this charming cellar bar! This is a store that you enter by going underground. A kind female bartender will serve you drinks while responding to your requests! !

Service unfriendly, inattentive. Charged price too high.

While solo exploring, I stumbled upon this fantastic bar! Not only was the service excellent, but the ambiance was incredible. I have never felt so welcome as a tourist and even made new friends. Worth checking out!

Friendly, good drinks and music

This was an awesome find in Bern , Lena was super welcoming and warm and introduced me to locals which was great as a solo traveller. Great vibes in the bar, the crocodile is a nice touch !

The cutest little bar with the friendliest staff. The cellar part of the bar was super charming and the on-street outdoor seating was great for enjoying the nice weather and people watching. The owner was very friendly, especially since we were tourists and it seemed like a local spot. Highly recommend!

On my last holiday evening in Bern I ended up in the Fernweh Bar by chance just to have a look. This turned into a wonderful evening in a very warm atmosphere. It's really crazy: you just go down a few steps from the hectic Kramgasse and within seconds you're immersed in a completely chilled and friendly world. If you prefer to have some peace and quiet, you can go to the small separate room, for example. If you'd rather get to know people, the counter with very friendly service is a great place to go. The prices are fair and the location near the Zytglogge is ideal.

Stopped in to Fernweh Bar on a day trip from Zermatt and absolutely loved it!! Lena was very friendly and took great care of us! When you’re here make sure you try the Rumpalapumpa, and remember Thursdays are Kareokee night!

We stopped in on a whim, and discovered our new favorite bar in Bern! Lena is a wonderful host, the atmosphere is so fun, and the drinks were all delicious. Watch out for the alligator though… ;)
