You get very good food here. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is what a pub should be like. English is spoken but everyone can also speak German.

Large, typically furnished pub in Basel, near the art museum. Large terrace, partly covered, large selection of beer 🍺, cocktails, soft drinks, wine 🍷 and coffee ☕️ 😎

Good standard, nothing outstanding... but the "House Burger" was good, the service was very friendly. Overall recommended.

Nice atmosphere, what you’d expect at an Irish bar. Our waitress was super efficient and friendly. The food was great - I had some nachos but others on my table highly recommended the cottage pie and fish and chips.

The pub quiz on Sundays has been a fun (almost) weekly event for a group of my friends. And on top of that, they offer great pub food and drinks. The service is efficient and friendly.

Pulled pork Burger is amazing, i’d risk to say best in town. Drinks are OK, service OK. Wings are 1 CHF pp on Mondays, that worth a visit, too

I came on Tuesday evening for the first time, the waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Great selection of beers and good burgers! I can't wait to go back 🍔

Did not eat here ,but the food looked delicious ..We had drinks ,and watched Chelsea v Spurs ..Great atmosphere and great table service .

I used to come often for lunch, dinner or drinks. The food quality and service drops over the last couple months. Many mistakes in orders, food is not up to standard anymore. Very disappointing.

Very happy with the hot wings, usually very difficult to find spicy food. But the wings at Flanagan’s are actually spicy.

Great Irish style bar. Lovely roast on a Sunday. Fantastic for watching live sport. Football, Rugby , NFL, etc... Friendly effecient staff. Overall Excellent.

Toast was only toasted on oneside. Ask if it was freash tomatoes and mushrooms, the mushrooms where tinned ones.. bacon was pre cooked and tasted rubbery. Pototo cake was not a potato cake it was an hash brown. It was cold. Dearest cook breakfast I have ever had in my life. I did not enjoy this at all. Service was not experienced, I had to ask for everything and she ask the other service personal what, where and how. It as change along, last time I was there ; was 4 years ago. Then it was good

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated but the interaction with the customers is not good at all. I ordered a whiskey sour, got a lemon lemonade and when I asked them politely about it, I was treated very unprofessionally and had to pay for the drink, what a shame. Next time I know where I'll drink my cocktails... definitely not there!

The food prices have always been a little higher. Now, even for Swiss prices, it borders on usury. Almost 30CHF for an average burger or 18CHF for a cheese toast is simply too much. Therefore only 3 stars.

Usually a great pub with good food and service. But this time around, the barman was unhelpful when I said that the drink I received is not what I ordered. Would not mind if it's a cheap drink, but it's a cocktail. The waitress was very helpful though.

Just a great Irish pub. We went on a Saturday night, the service was maybe a bit in over their head but the great food more than made up for it: awesome buffalo wings, the fried oyster mushrooms are out of this world and the steak sandwich was just perfection.

Delicious food and friendly service. I highly recommend trying the Guinness stout meat pie and (even though it might seem like a weird choice for an Irish pub) chocolate fondant. Both were extremely good!

It's a very nice place inside and outside. The people are nice and the prices are ok. Absolutely recommend for the nice rustic style and a beautiful place to sit in the city.

Great Sunday roast, good drink selection and good service

Great Irish pub. We first had a pitcher of Pimms (super delicious) and then opted for the classic: fish and chips. Really as it should be! The fish is buttery tender, the coating is crispy, the fries are delicious. The tartar sauce is fine. The waitresses all only spoke English, which makes it even more authentic 😁 Reservations are highly recommended to avoid disappointment. There are even more goodies on the menu, so we'll definitely come back a few more times!

Drinks are a bit pricey also by Basel standards, but a very nice bar nonetheless, staff is great.

How did they find the burger? By chance🤣 Very good quality food, but with prices at CHF 27.50 the quantity could be a bit more. Note the size of the burger and the salad😅

A genuine Irish place in the heart of Basel

We were there with a small group and most of us had beer with fish and chips. Both were very good and the service made an effort and we were served quickly. The location is like a pub and is very cozy.

I can't genuinely rate the place because I was a daytime passerby. But the staff were very nice. At three in the afternoon on a Friday it was quiet, but having no knowledge or expectations of Basel, it is what it is. One of the senior people is Irish, from Waterford. I didn't have the Guinness. I'm sorry, you want Guinness, get yourselves to Ireland.

Don’t order the ribs. Very fatty.

Seems a popular pub and usually well booked. The service staff does an excellent job and always keeps an overview. The menus are okay, the Irish stew is a bit overpriced for what it is. The burgers are not special but are ideal to accompany the beers.

Everything was booked in advance, but they found a place for us and served us well.

Brilliant Irish pub in Basel, good beer selection and as expected the Guinness is great.

We been two times, I really love their hamburger, good bier and the service is so fast. I am only not satisfied for the price, a little bit expensive.

Never drank such a bad pint of Guinness in my life. Pint was pulled too quickly and had a bad after taste. Someone needs to clean the lines. I don't generally leave a bad review but this was served by Irish people who should know better.

Sorry I'm not spoiled, but I can eat plastic at home. The food is terrible and can only be enjoyed from 2 per mille upwards. More would be possible. Too bad for that. Was there on business on Monday.

The food at Flanagan's is absolutely outstanding! The menu is varied and offers something for every taste. The conditions are very friendly and competent and there is also sport playing on various TVs at all times (as it should be in a pub). Definitely highly recommended.

We arrived at around 11:30pm for a small beer (Guinness). Greetings and service were friendly, but only English, which was a bit strange to us. You can call it authentic, it bothered us. "Would you mind if I closed the table?" Hm? What wotsch? Aha, she says this is our last order tonight. And as soon as the beer was on the table, the table lights were removed. Yes, I understand, the staff wants to get off work sometimes, but we didn't feel very welcome at the moment. It's a shame, because it actually seems to be a nice place. Let's try again earlier in the evening...

Great pub with good food. In summer you can sit outside and the place is pretty quiet, making it perfect for conversation while eating. There is always sport going on inside, as is usual in a pub, all in all 5/5

Pub in the middle of the city of Basel, the waitresses only spoke English. Our waitress wasn't really in a good mood, rather a bit "absent" (maybe the warmth). Price level very high Burger selection limited.

Good place. Wide range of beer selection. Foods are not very well prepared and not really meeting the expectations from an irish pub. Ordered 6 different plates. Would say the same for all. Staff is very kind and fast!! But definetely need an improvement on the food.

We sat on the terrace, which is really large and offers a lot of space, although it is close to a main road but still quiet because there is a green strip in between. The waitresses came quickly, there were several of them and they caused stress because they were quite hectic. The beer with Sprite was 95% Sprite. The food, taccos with pulled pork, was very good. We had it for two and it was plenty. Unfortunately, when I was paying with a card, I was told to type in a tip, which I found disgraceful. I would have given one since we were happy up to that point. But the waitress who took the money seemed quite angry.

Friendly welcome. English speaking staff. Practical because just behind the Kunst Museum, overlooking a small tree-lined square. Large terrace. Hamburgers, homemade and pulled pork, excellent. Small downside on the prices, but we are in Switzerland... true to its reputation as an expensive country.

Unfortunately, ordered burger was not as it should be. Price of 30 CHF is more than enough to be followed with quality. Minced meat...like one for meatballs or filled paprika. My wife did not believe my first comment, but when she tasted...fully agreed. Can be much better. Service is OK but food did not match expectations.
