Was there for an event. I had veal schnitzel with noodles. Was very fine.

A bit old fashioned but very tasty. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Rustic, cozy restaurant with folk cuisine at fair prices, popular especially with men and cliques.

Friendly service, fine food. Despite the large restaurant, it is not overloaded with tables.

The terrace in summer is quite okay. There's a hell of a noise inside because everyone wants/needs everyone. The acoustics are terrible. The furnishings date from the 50s and 60s. If you like that sort of thing, okay.

I went to this restaurant like I go to a museum - with the interest of discovering a foreign world. It's the world of my childhood - which I'm glad burned. The large room is paneled with dark wood, there are geraniums on the terrace, and Aromat and liquid seasoning (not Maggi) are on the table as always. The vegetable rösti was good, although the portion was far too small. Whether frozen vegetables really have to be used in such museum-style restaurants - probably so. It doesn't matter, the hash browns and vegetables were tasty. The open beer was fresh and also tasted very good. A real ray of hope in this post-war wasteland was the waiter, who - although he spoke perfect Basel German and had a typically Swiss friendliness - was recognizable as a secondo. The price was lower midrange and okay for once. The toilets worked.

And today it's even better Holstein Schnitzel 🤗👍🏻 plus free limoncello 😘 Is one of the coziest neighborhood pubs in Basel and still very authentic... guests from the surrounding area and numerous clubs have chosen it as their regular restaurant. The menu has a very large selection of traditional Swiss dishes, pizza and pasta... The service is always very friendly and accommodating. again today tasty and decent portion

Pleasant house with good food and fair prices

The food was super tasty. Rösti with lots of cheese and egg! Yummy! My companion ate a Cordon Bleu which was also great. As a small gift from the restaurant, you even got a little ice cream on the house at the end. Excellent!

Cozy restaurant, we spontaneously ate there on a Saturday evening and found good seats. The food, service and also a small dessert at the end (on the house) were wonderful. About 5' from the Arena cinema.

Food was great! The employees are friendly, quick and helpful if you have a question. The atmosphere is very warm, which I personally like very much.

The vegetarian 4 cheese rosti here was excellent and reasonably priced considering how much quantity they give you. You can ask without egg on top if you would like.

Very warm welcome by the team of this family restaurant. A very varied menu offers an infinite number of menus and what's more, the chef is flexible if you want a variation. Port of Basel not far away. Parking spaces available when there is no work in progress.

The delivery was very quick, but the food was a bitter disappointment!! The chicken cordonbleu was pressed meat, indicating frozen product. The vegetables were tasteless and also from the freezer. The brines were from a can. The whole meal was extremely tasteless... For dessert I ordered a tiramisu for 6.50... and what do I get... a tiramisu from the refrigerated shelf (see picture).

When you come into the restaurant you notice that it is large, has a lot of space and you don't feel cramped. It has a special charm that I would describe as homely. Large and good menu with something for everyone and a good Italian pizza with a thin base as it should be, gladly again.

In terms of furnishings, the Schiff restaurant is still a cozy “restaurant” like I know it from before. Good service, nice and very friendly service. Good food made from fresh products, interesting Cordon Bleu variations.

Recommended for Rösti. The service is super friendly and fast. I was happy to give it 5+ stars for this. Depending on what you order, the food ranges from good to average. The chef should definitely season it a little better. The Rösti are recommended and good (4-5 stars, more like 5). Actually one of the restaurants in the region with the largest selection. Since I'm a vegetarian, I've never tried the cordon bleu, which are supposed to be good. I hope that the Bauch restaurant will soon clear the 4 star hurdle.

Food average and expensive in relation to what you get. Vegetables unseasoned, pulled out of the water and undercooked. For me there is no second time.

We spontaneously went out for pizza and pasta in August and have since ordered home twice, both pizza and cordon bleu and it's always delicious. It was also great that the fries were packaged separately from the meat and vegetables! So far, the delivery service has always been punctual, even on weekends. Compliments, we are happy to recommend.

Da ungeplant mit meinem Truck im Hafen gestrandet bin, suchte ich mir ein Restaurant aus der Nähe aus und bestellte online, mit genauer Beschreibung des Trucks und nahe Firma, wo ich vor stand. Hat super geklappt und es wurde mir sogar Besteck mitgebracht, obwohl das nicht extra bestellt hatte. Essen ist top und große Portion. Weiß ich für das nächste Mal Bescheid, wenn ich hier nochmal stranden sollte. LG

Lieferdienst! Poulet-Cordon bleu mit Gemüse und Butternudeln statt Pommes. Pünktlich geliefert und sehr lecker. Kann ich empfehlen. Portionsgrösse auch top. Werde wieder bestellen. War noch nie im Resti und kann daher auch nichts zum Service und Lokas sagen.

We truly loved this delivery. Came at the expected time and they kept the food nicely warm. We tried their Cordon Bleu American and Hawaii, which was surprisingly satisfying. Although we would appreciate if they were more generous about the sides (fries + veggies).
