We were at the Focacceria in St.Gallen with our team at the beginning of February. Everyone was really excited. We enjoyed Tavolata where everyone could try what they wanted and everyone got enough. The aperitif, service, food and the ambience were top.

The food is top. The staff are lovely and the location is great! But please (!) don't touch everything with bare hands - in between scratching your head or nose. Yuck! A no go! Puts on gloves fresh in front of the customer before each sandwich. Everything else is absolutely not hygienic and appetizing!

Always a safe value for a freshly prepared, fine focaccia sandwich. Service is always quick and friendly.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The tavolata was consistently good and sometimes very good. The Gorgonzola noodles, however, were made with Brie rather than Zola - it's a shame that could be better. And I can't recommend the tiramisu either - too little coffee. But overall a successful evening.

All together the experience wasn’t bad. But I wouldn’t recommend this place cause the portions you get doesn’t match the price you pay for it. I ordered an antipasti plate for 30.- and I received so little meat. More rocket than salami haha. Shame I will not return .

Great place with amazing focaccias and very friendly staff! Focaccias are always fresh, warm and insanely tasty, my favourite place to grab lunch (take away) in the neighborhood. Sometimes we pre-order larger amount and come to pick them up - in that case we usually have to wait as they are not ready yet. I've come for lunch/dinner a couple of times, the place is very popular so it gets crowdy easily plus the space feels a bit tight, otherwise, great, I will for sure come back again and again and again.. 😁

Sobering experience…reservation for nothing When I make a reservation, I don't expect to be seated in the middle of a crowded garden where private conversation is no longer possible. The waitress didn't have a reserved seat. So a reservation is pointless. We found another restaurant...Never again focacceria.

English speaking. Fast and efficient service. On par with swiss prices 15 CHF for 1 medium meat and cheese sandwich with all the toppings. Offers sit in or takeaway services. The focaccia is out of this world - deliciously salted and oiled to the right consistency. Not overly doughy and absolutely mouth watering!!!!! Really enjoyed this little gem in st gallens!

Pasta Pasta Tavolata (4 different pastas at your discretion) very tasty! The terrace is very cozy and the hibiscus iced tea is a delight!

Place is nice, but service is slow. What is order was tasty

The restaurant was shown to us as family-friendly. Unfortunately, it was only suitable for strollers in the open air and the high chair was not suitable for small children. The changing facility in the toilet also had no pillow. The service took a long time, but once the food was ordered it didn't take too long and it was excellent. We'll be back, but without the kids :)

We ordered the 'Facile - the simple Tavolata' and were completely satisfied! The starters (cold & warm), the four different pasta dishes and the dessert platter were all very tasty and you can order more as you wish. The service in the restaurant was very friendly. Since there are quite a few guests on Saturday evening, it is advisable to make a reservation (especially if you are a group).

Were there on New Year's Eve. We were told that there would only be room until 8 p.m. (more guests will arrive later). No problem for us as we only wanted to eat something briefly. 5 minutes to eight (we were already having coffee, so we were leaving soon), we were told in no uncertain terms that we should hurry up and leave. We looked around, there were 5(!!!) tables empty! We understood the instruction to leave, if the restaurant had been full to the brim. Instead, several tables were still free. That's not possible. It wasn't the first time that certain people on the staff worked extremely unprofessionally (bad mood, drinks and dessert were almost forced on you, with larger ones, and in large groups you are simply ignored, etc.). I would also like to mention that some of the employees are very friendly and do their job well. Others, on the other hand, make you wonder what they do in a service job, as the anxiety is clearly visible. Too bad. The foccaceria has really lost its charm. Don't know what it loves. but you can do better.

A reliable address for fresh, tastefully prepared dishes and motivated staff for years. Especially at lunchtime, the crowds are enormous and if you have planned (there are sometimes a lot of them) to have something, you should plan enough time. The employees only have two hands each...

The quality and taste of the food was completely OK, but the portion size was almost a disgrace (small chicken breast and about 3 forks of spinach side dish) and the prices for it and especially for the drinks (5dl of still water - i.e. self-bottled tap water - for almost 7.00 !!) out of proportion. The service was friendly, but completely overwhelmed by my complaint. Conclusion: Food OK - P/L ratio not OK. I don't have to go there a second time.

Noodles were cold and didn't taste like anything. It took about 1.5 hours until we were allowed to order, then another long time to eat. When we asked, we were just bullied...

Great restaurant! Insanely beautiful atmosphere - especially on the terrace. Anyone suffering from celiac disease is in good hands here. The staff can provide competent information. The gluten free spaghetti is excellent! Will definitely come again.

It may be a nice place for food. But my experience was not good. It was an important day for me , we went to celebrate here. First, when I was ordering my Focaccia, As a vegetarian, I wanted to try the cheese, but the employee girl looked so mad at me, while giving me the cheese, it really felt uncomfortable at that moment. Second, nobody even came to take order for drinks and we were waiting and sitting on table in front of bar upstairs. So we eat and left the place. We really felt bad about their service. We will never go this place again.

The downer first: very crowded, quite narrow and constantly coming and going. Tables for two (very) small and quite cluttered. But now to the positive, which outweighs the negatives. The service is very nice, you are on a first name basis here. The food (never had focaccia ;) ) is always delicious and original. The prices are OK, there is something to sniff for almost every budget. The portions are OK, if you're hungry I recommend the normal size. The mixed leaf salad makes a good impression. Not run of the mill and the house dressing is tasty. The homemade iced tea comes in two varieties, one ginger and one hibiscus. Both recommended. Coffee is on the good side, perhaps brewed a bit too hot. The mousse au chocolate is OK, but a bit too fattening for me personally. For us, the focacceria is always worth a visit.

I am very disappointed. The waitress didn't know there was a wine list. The wine was expensive and bad. You can get water with your wine everywhere, here it would have cost 3 francs. The pasta was probably homemade, but tasteless. After a previous stay in Italy, a visit to the Foccaceria just seems ridiculous to me, far too expensive and people here don't seem to have much knowledge of gastronomy or hospitality. That's why I'm not coming anymore.

It is a very convinient place to grab lunch, but beware of too salty spreads - mostly all the pestos. For dinner, they have a nice atmosphere upstairs with good wine and OK pasta. Starters are hit or miss.

Very, very tasty food in a super cozy restaurant. The focaccias are excellent and I've seen them there a few times. But I had no idea that behind the name focacceria there was such an excellent alla card restaurant. That certainly wasn't the last time.

As a resident of St Gallen, it has been one of my favorite restaurants for more than 10 years. Suitable for grabbing focaccia for a quick lunch, but also for comfortably enjoying a multi-course meal. Exceptionally good dishes: -Focaccia, which you can put together yourself from a large selection of antipasti -Salad bowl (e.g. with warm goat cheese)
