It was great!! A flavor everyone should try. This place is amazing, we loved everything and would love to come again. It's hard to understand why the score is low. Let's be honest, everyone, the waiters, the management, the food, the greeting at the door were very good. We tried fondue. Thank you fondue alp, you are one of my favorite places.

We booked our Christmas office celebration there and were a table of 25. We had a great time and really enjoyed the food. The Walliseler fondue with garlic and herbs was a good surprise, def a nice twist to the traditional moitie-moitie. We were well looked after by the waiters. It can get a bit hot and loud but kind of normal in a chalet restaurant!

The food is certainly excellent. It was just a little cold at the table in front of the bathroom and the staff seemed in a very hurry. Having said that, it was still a nice experience of typical cuisine.

I've never experienced anything so bad at such high prices. We couldn't have a raclette chat because it wasn't possible because of the electricity? Planning? Bad! The service also left a lot to be desired - the starter was served, there was no cutlery and the bread was hard as a rock. You can get the raclette we got at the fair, but you don't pay 26 francs. Oh yes and there was no dessert, despite booking so far in advance. It's better to stay at home.

We had dinner there with our team. We were quickly served the raclette, which became cold and hard after a few minutes. We were told that due to lack of space you cannot offer everyone their own table raclette. It's an impudence to ask for money for something so inedible. We wanted to order dessert when we were told that unfortunately you don't have any dessert left. How bad is that for a restaurant that made the reservation a week in advance and had enough time to prepare and then delivers something like that. Never again!!!

Came here to celebrate our marriage anniversary. This is a pop up fondue chalet which only happens during Christmas time. Beware that pop up restaurants like this across Zurich are booked months in advance as there is huge interest. So make reservations super early! What made our experience lovely were the people inside. Even though we were 50 mins late for our reservation, they accommodated us and were overall very helpful and friendly. The overall experience and vibe here is amazing. Extremely cosy, full of noise/conversations/bustling with energy, loud music. Food was good, we have had better fondue at other places but again nothing to complain about. We had the Walliseller fondue which comes with garlic and tomatoes, a twist on your traditional fondue. We found the fondue a bit too thin/diluted for our taste but the flavors were nice. The flambé was good. Overall a good experience. Definitely worth the visit if not just for food then just the for the overall experience and energy/vibe.

We were a group and were literally ripped off on Friday, December 16th, 2022. A bottle of water suddenly became a bottle of wine. If you order 10 portions of fondue you only get 8.5 of course for the price of 10. I recommend everyone to avoid this place.

We had Christmas dinner with our team. The cabin looks cute and is nicely decorated. Well that's the only positive thing. The service staff are not treated fairly, which is why they only do their job half-heartedly, are stressed to the point of not being able to anymore and openly admit that they have quit. Unfortunately, you can only reserve with them for 2 hours, because after that they fill up the whole place with more reservations in order to make as much sales as possible, no matter how dissatisfied the customers are afterwards. A coffee at the end is not possible, we couldn't even finish the wine, no, we were actually thrown out 10 minutes before the end of time. They also have high prices that you have to pay, but tips for the staff are neglected because the angry customers have to take their frustration out on them (the “office” and the management are never the ones who work on the front line). I will no longer support this restaurant as long as their strategy only includes revenue and definitely no customer satisfaction.

Table was reserved at 2000. Stand in the cold for 45 minutes. This is definitely not customer friendly. You notice that it's all about mass processing. I don't call that comfortable. The tables are so narrow that there is 0 space. The number of people in the chalet is exaggerated. A sow in a pigsty has more space. Buy a fondue at Aldi and enjoy it at home. Every franc here is too much. Tiktak... it's 9:40 p.m. and the fondue is still not on the table. The tarte flambée, which was supposed to serve as an appetizer, is probably no longer available. Update: The tarte flambée came together with the fondue. When you pointed out to the waiter that the cake had been ordered as a starter, you were simply laughed at stupidly.

The waiter laughed despectively in our face when we asked him to speak english and then laughed again when we asked If the bread was included with the fondue If you are not local and looking for a place where you are at least treated with some respect, please DONT EVER TRY this place Seriously, never felt so uncomfortable in Switzerland - I hope this helps somebody to avoid a similar bad experience PS: We ordered potatoes which we never received and after 30 min of waiting we had to go and ask for the check - the waiter never came to offer drinks, dessert or the check

You really feel like you're in a chalet in the mountains, and the furnishings are great. The fondue and the side dishes were soooo delicious!! The truffle fondue in particular was simply great!

I was in the Alp with friends, the fondue (Glacier Fondue from Pontresina) is simply delicious and one of the best I've had so far. The service was great and we had a very cheerful person who accompanied us through the evening... although it was probably very stressful for her at times :) I can also recommend the mulled wine, it's really good (tip: even better with a shot of amaretto :))

I had dinner at Fondue Alp with my boyfriend and I have to admit that it was quite loud, plus semi-loud music that was played late in the evening. It was more like a cozy après ski restaurant. The fondue was delicious, it didn't seem like much at first but we were satisfied in the end. We paid a total of 175 CHF for a bottle of wine, 4 beers, a bottle of water, potatoes and a shared tomato and garlic fondue. The service wasn't the fastest but they were all very nice. Overall we had a good stay 😊.

-no Ice in the white wine bucket -our waiter (redbull pocket - bold - left earring/hole) was rude and rushy, and lied to us several times on menu and what we got served. My girlfriend is a cook. - found our reservation table after 20 min standing -we didn't let know during the booking that we should have booked the fondue experience something so the speciality was not availabble - rushing for finishing eating less than 1.30h from sitting down - very little food for way too expensive - mushroom vs tomato: we asked our waiter 3 times wether our fondue was yellow mushrooms while it was red and tasting of tomatoes, and he always refused to admit the mistake - stressed staff - no quality, just the atmosphere looks good, on paper, there is really no space between tables - the manager didn’t let me talk and defended his waiter (that looked more like his brother) when I complained about our experience, like it didn’t matter to deliver something decent. -interiors are the only thing that is not disastrous, looks nice actually.

Trying to get away from the cold and get something hot to drink. Great experience, however we had some language/culture perhaps (speaking English). They wouldn't understand the Irish coffee concept, were confused. Maybe it's not a thing in Switzerland, but after explaining what it was, they offered an alternative to it. So, nothing major. We had a charcuterie board for 2, delicious! We were not that hungry to order more food, unfortunately, as I wish we have had the fondue. Next time!

Second worst fondue I had (it was a basically soup). If you're a tourist, maybe you want to go because the chalet is a nice imitation of a real one, with cool authentic furniture. Otherwise, avoid!

My first Fondue experience was so nice in this very cozy restaurant. I ordered Chili Fondue and the first Fondue which served was super yummy and I have to be honest the 2nd was a little bit thin but still yummy. I really like the decorations, its very cozy and i feel so comfortable. The service is good and efficient. I hope I can come back again soon.

The place looked amazing but thats where all stopped. The service was unorganized and inconsiderate. Tables around us recieved drinks and food even though they arrived after us. The fondue was thin as soup which was a shame since the cheese seemed good quality. Maybe it works just a tourist trap but as a swiss its embarrasing.

I went for raclette with my nephew and we both really enjoyed it. The ambience is very cozy, although it was a bit noisy. The food was very tasty and the staff was friendly and attentive. I have reserved another table for tomorrow.

Mmm, finally fondue again - the menu is beautifully engraved on wooden boards and I had a really hard time deciding: So many delicious dishes! Here you can have a great, cozy time with friends and family. Very warm & attentive service - I'll definitely be back! :)

Fondue quality was good. Quantity for 2 people and 29 CHF per person is rather small. The bread is not a classic fondue bread, you had to break it into pieces yourself and some of it was already rock hard. It was not possible to get a fondue without kirsch. You had to order everything separately. The waitress tried to be friendly, but was hardly able to take the table order correctly or add up the amounts correctly at the end. But she delighted us several times with sayings about how broken she was. Overall, the catering concept seems as if the goal is to generate as much profit as possible with as little effort as possible. Unlikable and not worth repeating.

Absolute disaster! We were extremely excited about the fondue last year and even voted it the “best fondue” we’ve ever had within the family. The disappointment was even greater when we went back this year. Underground. Not customer oriented. Unfriendly. Service was overwhelmed. This restaurant should be taken off Harry's Thing's list. It's terrible that the fondue became so miserable after a year. Quantity over quality is the new motto here!

After being thrilled with the food last year, we experienced a big disappointment this year. The fondue was extremely thin and so watery that hardly any cheese stuck to the bread. Chili fondue without any spiciness tasted the same as the normal cheese mixture. I suspect that water is really being adulterated here. Service was friendly and tried hard but overwhelmed. We are looking for a new fondue chalet for next year.

If i could give 0 stars I would. Yesterday we went there with my husband , One of the waiters came to take a reservation, probably we were very slow and asked to much questions due to his eye rollings, He left us without a decision and we moved to other table. After a long waiting we tried to wave to the waiter to let him know that we moved and ready to order. Suddenly he started to yell I am not a dog and you need to respect me. We didn’t understood i was trying to say that we do respect him and we apologize. Later he just slammed al the dished to our table. We were very angry of this behavior and i went to speak with the manager, she apologized and after that i came back to my table , took a few bites of my dish( my husband didn’t even drink his beer) the rude waiter came to our table and started to talk lout about that he is sorry but we need to be sorry to, and i need manual guid of the manners of the country I’m visiting . Maybe in this country its rude to gently wave at a waiter but in mine a waiter will never slam dishes because he is angry or yell at costumers try to educate them. We left right away didn’t even eat or drink . Thanks a lot.

The positive first: We liked the fondue with black truffles excellently. And we received very good advice and prompt service, despite the restaurant being packed. Negative: It's loud, cramped and not very comfortable. And after two hours it's over, then the next food shift comes. If you like it more relaxed: The Chaesalp high above Zurich is a great fondue address.

We came in as a group and had reservations - "you're in the way - there are people here who have to work". We ordered 3x tarte flambée, 2x racelette and 2x fondue - no special requests. One tarte flambée had significantly more vegetables on it than the other - after we asked if they could bring more vegetables - "this is just a production kitchen" and they have to pay 22,000 to rent the stand. We were asked "how old are you? 25? Generation Y, always wanting to individualize everything but not giving anything in return". This is a disgrace, we were decent and this is no way to treat guests. In conclusion: THE SERVICE IS UNDERGROUND & if you hate this job, you shouldn't do it. Not recommended, although the decoration is good and the food is okay.

Compared to the last visit two years ago, it was a complete disappointment. The fondue itself was lukewarm and too runny. The first waitress who assigned us a seat was unfriendly, then we experienced inattentive service. It's a shame, but next time we'll continue our fondue tradition somewhere else.

Good place for Fondue. Can get quite busy, leading to the waiters being quite stressed and a longer wait for food. Food selection of limited of course as this place specializes in Fondue. When it gets busy tables will be shared by multiple groups. The fondue tastes very good. Good selection of wines as well.

Worst Service of my Life - one bad thing after the other! Last night we had a group dinner planned there. Everything had to be pre-booked (wine, water, apero, fondue..). We arrived 10min early, and they told us to wait another 10min outside. So then we arrived on time, and our table was given to another group "because we were late". Then it took them 30min to completly set our table. Another 20min until they served our bre-booked wine. One dish we had reserved was sold out. Only 3 fondue pots for 17 people was not enough - and it was not corrected. Not everyone had the possiblity to reach a fondue pot from his table. The fondue portions very incredibly small, and maybe the pots too big, but I could barely put my Bread in the cheese witout touching the ground of the pot! In the end we did not eat alot, because it was too hard to get a waitor and order more fondue, or bread (of course they brought not enough bread..). To finish, weirdly our fondue had an old bread inside from someone else when it arrived, they waitor said this was not possible and did not apologize. I feel bad for some waitors, they were apologizing, because they realised everything went wrong - but still - it was one bad thing after the other. One good thing - fondue had a good taste & the wine was good!
