Franz in St. Gallen

A very quaint café where you can have a very good brunch. Everything is homemade, super tasty and far away from the mass food. Great, friendly and attentive staff. All in all very recommendable. We will now be visiting there regularly

For everyone who likes to try something creative after all the run-of-the-mill brunch buffets. A big compliment for the great selection, the beautiful presentation and the friendliness of the team. We really enjoyed the “homey” atmosphere and will be back as soon as possible.

They serve a delightful selection of cakes, but seem a bit confused when it comes to their menu items. Many different things, with not much in common. Service was very pushy for us to order more and tip.

My friend and I went to Kafi Franz for Friday brunch and had a wonderful start to the day! A varied buffet with lovingly prepared delicacies awaited us. What particularly caught our attention were the various homemade chutneys, compotes and spreads, which you definitely can't find everywhere😊 Thanks to the good weather, we were able to enjoy our breakfast to the fullest in the stylish Gärtli. The Franz team was also super nice and attentive! We'll definitely come back👍🏻

Small but nice place. The decoration is very nice and the girl who served us was super friendly. It has a patio from what we saw. Prices a little expensive (everything is the same in Switzerland). We had two cappuccinos (very tasty, but small) and spent 10.60 in total. We look at the menu and for dinner we have to think about approximately 50 per person. The cakes are around 8 per serving. We didn't try it but they looked tempting.

A delicious cake with a coffee after a long walk. This little place has as its only flaw that too many people want to eat here, which often forces you to wait for a table and understandably the staff is always a little nervous. For the rest, carefully prepared food, I will definitely come back to try the ramen. Classic Swiss prices.

I only had a cappuccino so I cannot speak for the food. The cappuccino was horrible. I asked my bf (will drink any coffee) to try because maybe it was me, but even he couldnt bare another sip. Such a shame. The cakes looked really good and the abendessen menu also looked great. Will not return for coffee.

It entices us to take a look again. Of course with a reservation in advance, because the coffee shop is a bit cramped and the good occupancy speaks for itself :) Which delayed the waiting time to pay a little.

The food is pretty average, but the prices are typical for a good restaurant... I don't think the prices they charge here are adequate to the quality of food - they're what I'd expect in Zürich for this quality, but not in SG. On the upside, the staff is very nice and friendly and the place has a nice vibe.

Due to a birthday in the family, we were invited to Sunday brunch at Kafi Franz. We were all very enthusiastic about the extensive menu, the beautiful furnishings and, of course, the attentive service! I can only warmly recommend this Kafi, especially for brunch, as the offering is very varied and different from many classic brunch buffets, there is a lot of attention to detail and everything is made in-house. The cake display alone is a dream (unfortunately there are not many vegan offerings, I would like more). The quality of the service and food is fantastic. You can tell that this team puts their heart and soul into their work and also pays attention to the details when it comes to food. The vegan offering consists of ramen and a variety of other dishes, but could still be expanded significantly. There is also a new lunch buffet, which gets 5 stars from me for value for money. The coffee is also exceptionally good!

Was there for brunch - the breakfast was very tasty and they actually offer a good selection of fresh products. Unfortunately the coffee is very small and everything is very tight. We made a reservation for 10 a.m. - at 11:30 a.m. we were (kindly) informed that the next guests would be arriving at 11:45 a.m. For me it's a big NO GO. For me, that's one reason I don't visit this coffee shop anymore. Too bad!!!!
