It's a very nice place, lots of hiking trails and a beautiful view, the food is delicious, the prices are fair, I recommend it to everyone, young and old, winter and summer

The Restaurant/Hotel Fronalpstock is in a breathtaking location. There are very few places like this. Always unique for me! At the top of the Fronalpstock, it seems like it floats between the Alps and Lake Lucerne! With a view that takes your breath away! The architecture of the building cleverly accommodates this situation, especially in the attic. As many stained glass windows as possible. You seem so close to heaven! The sun and light with this wonderful view! To dream! The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Even at peak times they have an open ear! The food was even very good from the self-service buffet! We will be back!

Small nice room. Very clean and modern. You have everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is tasty and the prices are reasonable for almost 2000m. The view of the surrounding lakes and the mountain panorama is a dream.

Wonderful view over central Switzerland and the cradle of Switzerland. Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug and Ägeri are at your feet.

Showed up at 13:15 and they said the kitchen had closed and there was no more food. As a consolation they let us dredge some leftover lukewarm soup. #swisshospitality

Food was nothing special, very salty. The selection isn't that big either. A lot of people brave the low season. Of course the view is fabulous.

On October 23rd, 2023 we were at Fronalpstock. The rest was open, but there was nothing to eat and nothing to drink. That's a no go.

We arrived on site shortly after 4 p.m., despite a few guests who were willing to pay, the restaurant was already more or less closed, or no hot food left, just a café and drinks... 😔 I don't think this is up to date anymore... It's just a shame 2 stars...

A wonderful starting point for hiking. Uniquely beautiful and heartwarming experience. Fronalpstock summit restaurant serves with heart and soul. Each breakfast table serves a full breakfast buffet with a bread basket, including orange juice, tea, coffee, Birchermüesli, cheese/sliced ​​meat platter, and egg of your choice. Possibility to organize leftovers as provisions for the upcoming hike with a take-away box....Wonderfully uncomplicated and with ❤️...

Classic mountain restaurant with fantastic views. Lunch is rather average. Very suitable for a family trip. Just 1 minute from the chairlift.

I am Swiss and half asian. Recently me and my friends went on a long hike. The scenery was amazing. When we arrive at the restaurant the staff we’re really rude. I asked if they still serve the chef annoyingly pointed to a sign, rolled his eyes and was generally unfriendly. What I didn’t understand was why other people after us still got served. I just didn’t understand why the chef had to be that rude to us while still serving the others and I really asked polity. I was really sadden.

We spent a wonderful day on the Fronalpstock. The view from the hill station is simply breathtaking. You have a 360 degree panoramic view of the Swiss Alps and Lake Lucerne. The food in the summit restaurant is also very good. We had lunch in the panoramic restaurant and were very impressed by the quality and taste of the food. The Fronalpstock is an absolute must for anyone who wants to experience the Swiss Alps.

Gorgeous!!!! You will spend 40 Franc just to get there. The restaurant on top is affordable priced and has a ton of options!!!!

Unfortunately not all food is written on. I would have liked to eat meatloaf, but didn't see it until later. Schnitzel was so-so, very dry. The location and view are of course fantastic!

Like most tourist resorts traps food and service aren’t great. Location and fews stunning. But too many people.

Just perfect! We were with our tent because we had two dogs. Dani the boss is extremely lovely and very accommodating.

Magnificent place with dream views.

It is a giust house with a restaurant with a fantastic view. Placed on the edge of the cliff, you can eat here good stuff but a bit pricy. The salads and the cakes are highly recommended. The service is a bit slow die to the amount of tourists. The walking to go and come back is a bit hard, but recompensating with a beautiful view. Recommended.

About 15 people are waiting on the terrace to buy drinks. The employee in charge takes the longest time to put away bottles and glasses. When asked why he doesn't serve, he answers energetically, "They have it pressed." We have time in the mountains." It couldn't be more unprofessional and unfriendly!! Bad example for the entire region. Such people have no place in tourism and service

Great restaurant, perfect for enjoying the sunset. Pasta with cheese is also very tasty.

A breathtaking location at 1922 meters! After a sensational ridge hike, starting from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock, which offers a wonderful Alpine panoramic view of over ten lakes in Switzerland and countless Alpine peaks in Central Switzerland, even for those who are not quite experienced in heights, everyone enjoys a stop at the viewing terrace of the Fronalpstock summit restaurant!😍😁 The impressive experience is somewhat marred by the early closing of the restaurant kitchen (4:00 p.m.) and the much too early, final descent of the chair lift down to Stoos! (5:30 p.m.) Anyone who is aware of this fact should of course prepare for it and arrive earlier or calculate the descent to the mountain village of Stoos! Perhaps I would also like to point out that if possible, choose a weekday for the trip, as the weekend is supposed to be very crowded! (confirmed by several sources)! Absolutely recommended!🥰👍🌟🌞

Truly enchanting setting!! Very good meal in the evening as well as the very generous breakfast in the morning. The rooms are comfortable and warm, some with a view. Ideal starting point for hiking. I highly recommend and will return!

For us, the restaurant is only relevant for drinks, if at all. I understand the lack of staff, but even in the self-select restaurant the food was no longer really warm, as it was in warming containers and didn't taste particularly special.

At the very top, the views are stunning. As long as there are no clouds. Very modern little room, rich menu. Prices too. Tables outside. It is definitely worth taking the lift from the bottom (50 CHF) and going down the trail.

Received an expired beer. After we pointed this out to the waitress, he said: “And are they dead now?!” I said no and he replied: “Too bad”. I find it absolutely inappropriate. But the view was really nice!

Here you can rest. To enjoy the view. Get something from the restaurant. It also has a self-service area. It's often crowded outside, but there's enough space inside. The employees are nice and serve quickly.

I don't think there's much we can write about our stay at the Fronalpstock Summit Restaurant, except that it was simply fantastic, the staff were very accommodating, very, very friendly, the food was great!!!! Actually great, we could enjoy every second. Thank you again to the whole team for unforgettable moments, we will definitely come back.

After taking the funicular to Stoos and taking the chairlift with one change, we arrive at the Fronalpstock at around 1900 meters above sea level. Here we can expect a breathtaking view of the magnificent mountain world in the most magnificent sunshine. In the summit restaurant we enjoy an honest, tasty and very filling lunch. You could also spend the night here at the summit. Details regarding this can be found on the website. We drove back during the afternoon, but have definitely planned to come back in the summer.

Friendly service in the staffed restaurant area. The food was served quickly and beautifully presented. Price-performance ratio is ok for almost 2000 meters above sea level. Despite very good occupancy at lunchtime, the noise level was low and normal conversation was possible without any problems. The almond croissants as a dessert with a coffee are highly recommended 👍🏻

Unique location at 2100 meters above sea level with a wonderful panorama. The barley soup is good, a must for those who go hiking like us! Alpine style interiors, warm and welcoming. Rigorous cleaning, even in the bathrooms. We have not seen the rooms except in photos and they reflect the high quality found.

Restaurant with a fantastic view from the terrace. You can arrive as a hiking destination or simply via the chairlift. There are also some rooms for guests who want to stay overnight.

We walked with our two children from Stoos to the Fronalpstock restaurant. As a reward there were fine Älplermagerones, chicken nuggets with fries, minced meat with croissants and veal sausage with onion sauce. For dessert, dad and mom had the famous Muotathaler cream cherry cake from Schelbert. Simply delicious. We'd love to come back.
