Small but very fine restaurant. A friend introduced the restaurant to me as his favorite restaurant - and rightly so. The food was delicious and the waitress (even though she said she was having a bad day) was very nice and professional and was open to all questions and concerns. I can only recommend.

Honestly, just - GREAT! Although we are at home in Zermatt, a city full of exceptional gastronomy, we definitely wanted to come to Thun for the Füürgässli following a recommendation. And we can assure you - every km, every car train, every minute of parking has paid off! To be honest - we haven't eaten so well in a long time! Every dish was to the point, perfectly balanced in taste, never overloaded or overwhelming - simply perfect! The young couple and their team behind them are the purest and funniest angels who live out their passion here! We would always rather take the train to Thun than the gondola to Findeln!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! ♥️

The menu is sophisticated, always seasonal and always offers surprising combinations. What is served is always perfectly prepared, wonderfully flavored and a feast for the eyes. If you are wondering, then the answer is yes, you should go there. The food is delicious, they have a good selection of wines and the location is really great (especially if you can get a table along the river when the weather allows).

Always a pleasure! Of course, you don't go to Füürgässli with a routine. It should be something special. The service, competent, convincing but NOT intrusive. And “the kitchen” likes to visit guests. The food is simply a pleasure. The three-course summer menu is simply yum for the eyes and the palate. Price/performance is right. The ambience is something very special. The story of the Füürgässli can be read or requested. Go there, look, be amazed.

This place was unbelievable. My wife and I were staying in Sigriswil and made the evening trip to come try this place. The food was superb, the atmosphere was incredible, and the lovely waitstaff went out of their way to ensure that our time was as special as possible. From the appetizers to the desserts and the sneaky coffee liquor shots from the kind chef afterwards, this place was completely top notch and we will be sure to stop back anytime we come back to Switzerland. Bravo!

The beef fillet melts in the mouth, the potato gratin is a dream, the ice cream for dessert is as creamy as I have ever tasted. And then there is this extremely friendly chef who introduces himself to us personally towards the end of the evening. A thoroughly successful dinner, top on all levels: reception, service, ambience, wine selection and of course the excellent food. A restaurant that I can warmly recommend to everyone. When I'm out and about in beautiful Thun again, it's already clear where I'm going.

There were two of us and we had lunch in this restaurant. The view of the river was simply stunning, making the perfect setting for a daytime meal. Their selection of artisanal products added a unique dimension to our dining experience. The service was impeccable and the team very friendly. The prices are high, but seem justified by the quality of the food and the atmosphere. We highly recommend this place for a special lunch.

Simply WOW! Found it locally on the internet and hit the jackpot. We were there as a group of 7 on Saturday evening. ALL of us were thrilled. We were served in a very friendly and attentive manner and that continued throughout the entire evening. Restaurant (kitchen & service) run with passion. There is a good selection and all the menus were super tasty, we really enjoyed trying something from each plate. The portions are also great and everything was on time and to the point as requested. The presentation on the plate was also very pretty and that made it twice as much fun. A "hearty" restaurant, nicely decorated, well selected, not too bloated wine list => great selection. We'll definitely be back, even though we live a bit far away. Keep it up and see you next time! P.S. Negative reviews based solely on prices are unfair! The Aarequai region is generally high priced, but the quality varies greatly as in all such areas in other cities. This separates the wheat from the chaff and the Füürgässli is definitely more than worth it! In addition, they don't skimp on service staff like others => respect!

My wife and I spontaneously sat down at Füürgässli on the Aare Riviera. Originally we just wanted something to drink, but we decided on a plate of bruschettas. These bruschettas were the BEST I had ever eaten. The restaurant should treat this chef well so he stays around for a while. Later we still fancied beef tartare. It's amazing what the chef conjured up. The staff is very friendly. There is only one small criticism, which the stars do not deny thanks to the brilliant chef. My wife wanted a second glass of rose (wine), first a glass of Prosecco came, when she said again what she wanted, then a glass of pink Prosecco came. Then she let it go and drank the Prosecco.

The food and wine were excellent, the service was courteous and the ambience was great. If you want something different than the usual 08/15 uniformity, this is the place for you.

Ambience, see photos on the internet. Service, a lot of room for improvement. Food - prices totally exorbitant. We think it's because the restaurant is completely closed two days a week. Since that's probably still not enough, they're also closed at lunchtime and the restaurant is only open for a few hours in the evening. So the excessive prices can probably be explained...? Or because Roger Federe ate there once and they're advertising it? There are restaurants that offer the same menus at a much cheaper price. If you look at the prices for a small starter and not to mention the dessert, they all cost almost over 14 francs. Well, the income has to come from somewhere when the restaurant is closed half the time. We also don't fully understand why so many restaurants complain but are only open in the evenings and believe that this is how they generate all the sales, whereas other restaurants are often open all day long and also offer warm food, all the time.

Excellent meal, attentive service and right on the river. We had Swiss beef done perfectly, and a nice regional wine suggested by the waitress. I chose this place on a hunch after looking at the menu and then seeing the waitress talking to a couple of tables as though she knew them, a good sign.

10 stars 🤩 Small, cozy restaurant with TOP cuisine and extremely friendly staff. Bruschetta in winter is atypical. I would order again immediately, they were sensational! Suure Mocke sensational! Food was hot and could be enjoyed. Small dessert, a scoop of blood orange sorbet, not served just like that. The eye is involved and the guest is really offered something wonderful for the palate and the eye. Be sure to reserve. I'll be back

Well, the requirement seems high, but it is met at a good average level. Food is a passion, but you don't really feel that here. Well, purely from a food perspective, can fish no longer be served glazed? Seems like that, it's just no longer up to date. Then the use of salt, nice when the cook is in love, but I think here it was just indifference, as not only the fish but also the potatoes. The language on the plate, like 15 years ago, the spinach, instead of being freshly tossed, formed into a lump, everything else seemed fresh. It's enough for most people here, so everything is done right, but a good average isn't a requirement, a visit to Austria would probably be good. The rating would be more like 1-2 stars, there's little better in Thun, so at least 3.

I don't really like meat, but the Angus we ate was delicious. Perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. The combination of meat, vegetables and fresh fruit is superb. The tiramisu was very good, it didn't have that "stringy" flavor that some tiramisu have.

The Füürgässli is always worth a visit. There is a delicious menu and a small but nice menu. The cooking is done with a lot of heart and soul and you can tell straight away. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. In summer the terrace with a view of the Aare is beautiful. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Yesterday the three of us were guests at Füürgässli. The terrace was full and there was a lot of activity in the Aarequai. Nevertheless, we were served quickly and friendly. Can I request more than 5 stars at this point? 😁 The Füürgässli definitely goes beyond this scale. I was absolutely thrilled by yesterday's visit. On the one hand, the ambience was unique: on the Aare in Thun, in warm summer weather and the gradual dusk with a great evening atmosphere. What sets Füürgässli apart is the unique service. The staff is attentive and takes care of their guests in the spirit of hospitality. You can tell that the words that are exchanged are honestly meant and despite many guests and stressful situations, the friendliness remains at the same high level. The selection of dishes is a manageable selection of home-style dishes that are extremely tasty. I can recommend the Thun white wine soup as a starter - simply WOW! I could go on for a long time, but at this point I would say: Visit Marcel and his crew and let yourself be pampered!

Great welcome, but then not so good service. Since we only ate one bruschetta and drank two Aperolspritzes, that wasn't enough. It's also an expensive restaurant.
