Enjoyed great Güggeli in the Chörbli. The spicy sauce was very well seasoned and the spiciness was measured.

The specialty is great and very good, the service is top notch.

The food is very fine. The chicken sauce is a delight, the food is always fresh and warm. The service is courteous, attentive and very friendly. The restaurant is child-friendly and our four kids also love the food. We'll definitely be back soon.

I visited this restaurant for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing. Eglifilet fitness plate is very rich. Very large selection of fresh salads. The presentation of the plate was already a feast for the eyes. The staff was extremely friendly. Will come again when I'm in Brunnen. Ideal location near the ship station.

I don't like chicken, but I haven't eaten such a delicious one for a long time. There is curry in the sauce and very spicy. It is recommended with wheat beer.

Great restaurant to eat. Their specialty is Chicken from the Basket (Poulet im Körbli) in different variants. You can eat here both indoors and outdoors. Parking near Brunnen's central parking lot. Smooth and attentive service. Reservations are advisable. Normal prices.

The Puletim choir was a bit too dry for me. The sauce was too thin for my taste, but the crust was delicious. The service was very nice and very polite. Maybe it was the number of visitors. For the price you get 4 out of 5 stars. It can happen that the Puletim choir becomes a little too dry.

The Pulet would be perfect if it was a little more tender and not dry. It could also have been a gathering of people on Saturday. The service was really great, every wish was fulfilled!!! Sauce a little too thin for my taste. We'll try it during the week. See you soon

Went there for dinner last night. Thanks to a prior reservation, we had a place in the winter garden. The atmosphere is simple and functional, but we also came because of the chicken in the Chörbli, which, together with the sauce (spicy), is simply unbeatable. The service is quick and competent, the fries were crisp and delicious. I'm just a fan.

I actually never write reviews. Because I think everyone knows that the salad and chicken in Chörbli are unsurpassed here. But I would like to praise the service here today. The restaurant is always fully booked, but the service is always outstanding. For example, today we neglected to order the salad without tomatoes, as we always do. But Ramona remembered this and we got the salad without tomatoes. Refills are unobtrusively asked, politely asking whether we can clear away and whether we have any further wishes. The guest is truly king here, and we would like to thank all the employees of the Ochsen restaurant for that. You are great and we would be happy to come back and recommend you wholeheartedly. The best thing is the service Dora, for the children we ordered small portions of 1x breaded schnitzel priced at 15.50 which is still ok and 1x cream schnitzel noodle for 24.50 (3rd cheaper) which is cheeky when we said it's a shame at both (not Dora) service The meat was true for everyone, unfortunately it was dry. The answer "ok" says it all, once and never again

The food came together way too quickly!! For us it was like a clearance. The children's portion of cream schnitzel was small, but a schnitzel (compared to a large portion of two schnitzels) was “only” CHF 3 cheaper. The pork steak was extremely dry and at 28.50 was clearly too expensive for what it was. The mixed salad was very good, although clearly too expensive!! All in all, everything seemed very careless. The service (Dora) was great and very, very friendly. Nevertheless, we will not recommend this restaurant and will certainly not go there again. A pity!!

#1 Chicken in Chörbli has never disappointed me here!

Fast delivery of the starter and then the ordered menu. (too fast) . We had the feeling of being checked out because this restaurant was full to the brim! Nice for the host, but not so nice for the guest. The well-known chicken in the Chörbli and the wings... well... weren't particularly special... but certainly worth a family outing. Price/performance is ok.

The food was cheap and, as we so often know from Switzerland, if you save at the wrong end, the taste was a disappointment. We ordered breaded schnitzel with cream sauce. Unfortunately, this extra request wasn't well received because it seems to be an atypical meal for Switzerland. The schnitzels were ready-made. This is easy to see because the breading has a perfect and even thickness. In addition, the schnitzel was not prepared in a pan, but in the deep fryer, as it was fried too evenly for that. It was also dripping with fat when I cut it. There were also spices under the breading, such as herbs and peppers, which normally don't belong in a schnitzel. The only positive feedback I can say is that they complied with our request with the cream sauce, albeit with unnecessary comments, and they didn't charge extra for it.

Passing through after a day in Zurich we decide to take a walk in Brunnen and return for the umpteenth time to the Gasthaus Ochsen. Small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating a few steps from the lakeside. It's not the first time we've stopped to eat chicken in the basket. The chicken is very good with a very crunchy skin and the sauce also available in spicy mode, I would instead focus on the side dishes of chips where they could do better, they don't have so much crunch. Very friendly and welcoming staff with average prices. A visit is absolutely recommended and we will definitely stop again, also because the competition just a few kilometers away is unparalleled.

I've been here several times. The chicken is very good. Unfortunately, it is not certain that you will get one. On the homepage it says that it is open until 10 p.m. on Sundays. If you come at 8:40 p.m., almost an hour and a half before, the kitchen is closed and you don't get anything anymore. Luckily I got a very good tarte flambée at Quai 2. When I stopped by the Ochsen again at 10:30, it was dark - so nothing said "open until 10 p.m." The service specialist told me to call next time. What should I ask? “Do you feel like working today”? Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time. There was nothing on the homepage and when I was there it was dark and closed for holidays. If you have to travel 1 hour to eat here, you will feel cheated when something like this happens. Next time I'll think about whether it's worth it and whether I really don't care about disappointment - because it has to.

Bad and incompetent service. Chicken wings ordered and whole “black” delivered. After complaining, I received 2 wings without sauce. Fr. 20.--paid after 1 hour waiting time. It doesn't work at all. Never again!!

Food was good, service was mediocre. Difficult with lactose intolerance. When I asked about salad dressing without lactose, they said I should have registered this beforehand. Then got vinegar and oil like I did about 15 years ago. It's a shame that this is still a problem today.

The Ochsen restaurant in Brunnen SZ offers chicken in the Chörbli as a specialty. Various sauces and side dishes are available. The restaurant's winter garden is bright and modern. The chicken was very tender and crispy. The mild sauce didn't quite suit my taste, but it was good. The service is attentive and friendly. Good value for money.

Food ok, service okay. I ordered chicken in a basket. The sauce was great, but the chicken meat was a little overcooked. In addition, the chicken came already cut, I would have preferred it if it had not been cut. The service was good until after payment. No farewell, nothing... Our farewell was completely ignored. It's a shame that it left us with such a bad impression at the end. Don't think we will be back.

We stayed 2 nights in this charming building. The bedding is excellent and the hotel is super quiet. The room and bathroom a little small but nothing annoying and super clean. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. We had the famous chicken dinner which was delicious. Family hotel where everyone is so kind that it's a pleasure.

A must have at the Ochsen is the “Güggeli im Chörbli” with the fantastic house sauce, from the best “half-half”. Great, friendly and fast service. No problem even via “the alley”... and enjoy it at home.
