The service could be better. We had to wait quite a long time for our desserts and unfortunately the differences between the employees were clearly noticeable. The floor in the restaurant was pretty dirty, but the dessert tasted very good.

Despite a lot of people, friendly and fast service. Inconsiderate guests don't make life easy for the staff either.

The lack of staff will be pointed out at the entrance. After the first contact with the boss, it is now clear to me why you can't find any employees. Apparently there is no money to be made there. Sweep your own door and the good employees will come by themselves.

Restaurant & terrace was completely full, we (4 people) sat on the benches next to the terrace. When we wanted to order something in the restaurant, we were told off by the service staff that this wouldn't be possible if we didn't have a table. There is a separate refrigerator for the benches without alcoholic drinks.

During the hike on the planet trail from Weissenstein, we also briefly went to the Gasthof Hinterer Weissenstein. Very nice and friendly service. Pleasant atmosphere and wonderful to sit on the terrace to consume something!

The meal was delicious. The portions were large and inexpensive. We also completely understood that the meal took a little longer due to a lack of staff. Unfortunately, bikers are not welcome. We and our bicycles were severely reprimanded by the local farmer about how to use the cycle paths.

It was a nice walk to the inn. We just had a drink outside. Inside it's rustic but cozy. The staff was friendly. The food looked good. We'll do it again on our next visit.

We stopped here for lunch with friends while hiking. The original Swiss Rösti in all variations are always recommended! You should also try the desserts. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Clear recommendation!

Friendly welcome, beautiful menu typical of Swiss mountain inns with the essential rösti and cheese crust available in several choices...and many other dishes for all tastes...

Short hike from Weissenstrin. Leisurely hiking approx. 1 hour. Enough time to enjoy the magnificent panorama. Colorfully blooming mountain mats with countless butterflies and moths line the path.

Unfortunately only one day ticket is available at the moment.

We did a hike up to Hinter Weissenstein from Oberdorf. The view from the restaurant terrace is great, the service was quick and efficient even for a large group and the food was great and enjoyed by all of us. The chocolate cake needs a special mention - really good! Very kind waitress who even helped us take group pictures :)

Very unfriendly, inattentive gentleman in service. Even after 3 improvements to the orders, they were still incorrect. At the end an overpriced price was also charged for 3 drinks. (about 20 francs, quoted) The bottom line is a very poor overall package.

Unfriendly staff. Unnecessary comments, poor service, not giving the exact price but saying: “That’s about 15 francs” When I asked for the receipt it was 12 francs. We got wrong drinks three times.

If the weather is nice, come before 12 p.m. and you'll be more likely to get a table. The beef tartare was beautifully presented, with lots of delicious capers. Good portion of the small rösti, not too little and not too much. There was also fine bread. The kafi with schnapps was too strong for me - but if you can tolerate it, you'll like it! 😄 Despite the full terrace, the service was attentive and responded quickly. Fair prices. Payment is also possible with card or Twint.
