Visited Schnittweierbad for lunch today, 7 people registered. The service staff was on the move the whole time with the handbrake on...unfortunately! With so few guests, I expect service to be quicker. Three-quarters of an hour waiting time for a simple menu...? Likewise, when consuming bottled wine, I expect to top it up at least once. I was at Schnittweierbad for a business lunch last week. Very friendly welcome and excellent and competent service. The food was exceptionally good and the presentation on the plate was also very nice, simply a feast for the eyes. The people in the kitchen pay attention to small details when preparing. It is a real pleasure to eat there. I would be happy to come back with customers or privately. Thank you very much, keep it up!

Dinner girls' night... I had the weekly hit menu... it tasted excellent. It's definitely worth a trip in summer to spend some time on the terrace.

Were there yesterday because the rest of Steffisburg was closed, not easy to find. Very cozy restaurant, friendly staff and the price is also right, what more could you want.

We reserved a table for a birthday dinner for 5 in April. We were left to find this ourselves. We sat there for ages without being served without even being able to order drinks. When someone did come to our table, we were immediately told that the house specialty, Cordonbleu, was sold out. We then ordered tartare (it was okay, but only one slice of toast per person, but it was very limited). For the main course 4x falafel with Röstitaler and salad as well as a cheese slice. Charcoal briquettes were served on two out of four plates instead of Röstitaler and the three falafel balls per plate were so dry - the splash of sauce was barely enough for one - that you could hardly eat them. The cheese slice was just as underground as the Röstitaler: imagine a slice of bread with the “Grosi” from the fondue caquelon. Once and never again.

Enjoyed a delicious meal on the terrace. Fast service.

Arrived late for dinner but everyone was so happy to have us. They offered to translate for us the menus and suggest their popular foods. The food was absolutely delicious and their recommendations were spot on. The place felt so nice like our second home. Much of their food comes from the surrounding areas. Come try the food even if it is an hour drive away

Very idyllic restaurant with excellent cuisine and dedicated staff. In Germany we have almost given up eating in inns, but it's worth going here. We'll definitely stop by again on our next vacation in Thun; and combine this with a hike in the interesting forest there.

Service staff friendly. Schnitzel probably came from the freezer too soft not homemade doesn't justify the price!

Today we ate at Schnittweierbad for the first time since it reopened. Very clean, beautifully renovated rooms. Friendly courteous service staff. Very quick service for drinks and then ordering for food. Very positive, there was bread on the table immediately. 2 people ordered salad, it was beautifully designed and had a very nice salad dressing. The salad was delivered very quickly. The only deduction from the star: it took more than 55 minutes for the food to be brought. People at another table arrived about 15 minutes after us, but they received their food well before us, which really irritated us.

Nice place. We've had lunch twice in the last two weeks. But both times we had to wait an hour for the food. 1 time cheese slices, 1 time pasta with sausage. This shouldn't take that long...
