Great event venue. From music to comedy, the Swiss and global cultural scene meets. To my surprise, I only ever saw Kaufleuten and his appearances on TV. Recently I was there live for the first time and saw Darius Rucker's concert. I'll be back soon, thanks to my girlfriend, then we'll see and hear the band Dogstar with Keanu Reeves. By the way, there is also a bar. Some better quality alcohol (including gin) would be great. Because that devalues ​​the review. As well as the stage on the (dance) floor. I was walking a fashionshow in the kaufleuten. The club is incredibly beautiful. The front place has a lot of space, for a good amount of people. But my highlight was definetely the backstage area. Decorated in style of an opera!! Very good 5/5 stars

The location is really nice and the size is clear. The atmosphere is cozy, with lots of bars, velvet curtains, and the concert was an experience thanks to the pleasant size of the hall! I really like it!

A beer (33cl) costs 8.50 during SRF production “Late Night Switzerland”, absolute disgrace. This price is not even justified when the club is in operation.

I attended the event with Marco Carola and was really disappointed. How can so many people get into a club? Squeezing so that normal dancing is no longer possible. 59.- Entry is already very hard at the border. Rip-off to the power of 10! For me, the topic of merchants is history.

There for the first and last time. It was SANAPA and well, I've never been to such a poorly organized club. The entry worked excellently thanks to connections and our group of 7 was able to get past the long queue at the entrance. But after that it wasn't funny at all. Handing over your jacket: Waiting in line for almost 45 minutes to be told “we don’t have enough space”. Crowd: We snake our way through the crowded corridors with our jackets in hand to one of the floors and are pushed by the overwhelmed employees to say “nöd stahblibe” Bad drinks in plastic cups: The drinks didn't work either, so we saw no reason to stay there and moved on annoyed.

Super friendly and courteous staff, both at the entrance and at the bar... Very cool guests and also great music! We had an incredibly great evening and are already looking forward to our next visit

The club is just total rubbish.

The absolute Playdo Club. All Securitas reacted completely wrongly, we had problems but these were not taken into account. We were marked with an X and kicked out.

Do you like spending 30 CHF plus 3 CHF per item coat check to experience boring house music with the exclusive moment of ~ 40 minutes without music as they don't even know how their technology works? Experienced a great concert! It's worth getting there a few minutes early to get good seats. Very friendly staff.

Love the vibes here. Especially whenever there is a famous artist plays here. They brought world class DJs in Zurich.

I actually had a pretty good impression of the purchase bell. Only a certain security dampened my initial mood!! My partner also has a club and never (whether it was a fight, theft, or anything else) has security WALKED past one or more people and pushed them! Although there was enough space!! Even my companions were shocked by the behavior! It's clear to me that you should get to the scene quickly, but in my opinion that can also be done with respect for the other guests!

This is the most terrible place I have ever been to. There is no good air ventilation, it is very hot and dirty. The audience is mostly either very drunk or glassy-eyed and behaves inappropriately. There were a couple of guys who approached unfamiliar girls and touched them, hugged their waists. An abomination. 30 minutes was enough for me in this hell. This is not a safe place for a girl.

We'll be back in a few months after 7 years for a concert. Place with an unbeatable atmosphere! Update at the end of April…

Me and my two colleagues were repeatedly harassed by 30-50 year olds. I can't recommend this club to any woman.

Great artists, atmosphere even on Fridays is brilliant, bring at least 80-100 on a night out here.

It's not the place to enjoy concerts. Badly mixed music and expensive beer.

Really bad Dj, no transitions really and never played a full song. Just always from Refrain to refrain. But maybe I was just unlucky to be there as there are some good experiences wehn its not so crowded Then they let in so may people, that you could not move at all and all the people were pretty annoyed and pushing each other around. Would recommend for maybe 16-19 year old. But if you're any older than that stay away!

Good sound system and music - ALL the rest was horrible. I attended a Street Parade after party in this club. Despite having bought a ticket in advance, I had to wait in line for over 1 hour, missing part of the set I wanted to hear. It was horribly hot inside the club, as if air conditioning was not working at all. The DJs were great, and the sound system delivered a good quality. However, the people inside the club did not match the vibe I was looking for (fighting 18 year olds in lounges, smelly people in jerseys,..), and the bar had only a verty limited choice (no corona beer, no mate,..). Also the lightning was underwhelming for a club this size hosting a techno party with world famous DJs. Considering all factors, I would not recommend this club to anyone who's looking for a techno party with a good vibe.

It's absolute! Bad at the entrance. The Sekis bouncers are very aggressive.

We went to a great blues concert with Robert Cray. We liked that the music wasn't too loud. Good mood, good atmosphere.

Bouncers don't work at all! I've already heard 100 funny stories about them and experienced them myself last night... he wanted to forbid me from drinking my drink ON THE PUBLIC STREET! I had already bought tickets in advance and he didn't want to let me in because of that... very unprofessional

One of the most pleasant clubs in Zurich, never had any problems. You don't have to wait too long in line at the bar to order something, there is a suitable number of bars for the size of the club. It's worth checking in advance on Instagram what kind of program is coming up at Kaufleuten. Sometimes there are really great parties or big DJs like Nina Kraviz, Charlotte de Witte, Deborah de Luca etc.

You have to wait 30 minutes underground with 100 people in a 2x5 meter room for the cloakroom. You couldn't move and the air was hard to breathe. I've never been to such a poorly organized club.

I also managed to go to the Kauflüüte once. Was there with Charlotte de Witte. The sound system was great and gave a lot of pressure. Drinks prices in the upper segment. It would be nice if there were deposits on glasses and bottles, then you wouldn't have to dance around on broken pieces all the time. Everything went smoothly in the dressing room. All in all a top evening, but since you've already been to the Nordstern in Basel. Charlotte de Witte and co are even more fun. 😁

The club is good. But far too many party guests are allowed in, so it's almost impossible to move.

It's the best club in the city of Zurich, its security staff does a great job. And the bar offers all classic club drinks. There's always a great atmosphere anyway and what I recommend most is the 80s, 90s and 2000s party at Kauflüte.

LOVE the club. Favourite spot in Zurich for my free nights out. Great spot, amazing local and international DJ's here and there, for example Mochakk (1M on Instagram). Always have a great sound experience and the bartenders at the bars are doing their job A+ so you can get your drinks without waiting an eternity. <3 Security and Wardrobe staff could be told to be more helpful for example when there's no space left at the Wardrobe downstairs and the others 'don't accept anything' and tell you to go downstairs... Nothing too horrible but makes u want to leave rather than walk up and down to get told off by everyone and nobody 'working there' even telling you a bit of info on what you COULD do. ;) KUSS AN EUCH KAUF XOXO for many more fun nights I'll gladly spend with you :)

Good acoustics, good location, nice atmosphere in general, but it can get super-crowded. If you're not a tall person you might not see much of the stage. Better be early and go up to the front or get tickets at the balcony.

Cloakroom absolute disaster, floor full of broken glass and very expensive drinks.

The blonde lady at the door with the beanie is the rudest, most unprofessional entry clerk I've ever met. Highly aggressive approach to customers (!), shouting and yelling at each group as a greeting. The business can be written off without a care in the world.

The premises are nice. However, the employees are very tactless, unprofessional, stressed and hostile. This affects both the employees at the entrance, at the bar and the security. The bar offers average brands of drinks and there are no special drinks like in an upscale bar. The crowd is either very young or relatively neglected, drunk, uneducated and snobby. I absolutely cannot recommend the Merchants Club.

Beautiful hall, but the sound technology at the concert is unbelievable.

Absolutely ridiculous. Ladies are allowed to dance in a closed area, men are turned away. It's sad that this exists in Zurich.

Way too much noise outside the club because of their basses. I was having headache while dining in the Japanese restaurant opposite to the club!

What happened there last Saturday was shocking. I have never experienced such highly aggressive and dangerous Securitas. We will never celebrate there again!

Brutal security. Do you have to be afraid that they will beat you up?

Went to Hyper 2000 on Friday, May 20th, 2022. It was a complete disaster, the “DJ” was so bad that even Spotify mixes the songs together better. Apart from that, the track selection was very questionable... and last but not least, it ended at 3:15 a.m. Since there were already fewer people after 2:00 a.m. and there was probably not enough alcohol being sold, it was decided to close the club early instead of until 5:00 a.m. For me it was the last time I bought it, 30.- entry for 3 hours... well, it's a shame. After this evening, my sympathy for the Corona failures is now very limited.

I went to see Tale of Us. Impossibñe to walk or dance. Too much people. The floor was full of broken glass and bottles.

Unfortunately the seating was extremely tight for a great concert. I felt rather uncomfortable the whole evening, there wasn't much space to walk, beer costs a lot (adjusted prices would be nice, especially at a student concert). Didn't convince me.

An historical club. Amazing we went there several for concerts and our last visit for K&D Concert that was AWESOME. We enjoyed the music the ambience and the feeling. Only a couple of negatives: ventilation was really bad, hot and smoky, plenty of glasses and bottles left ed over and not picked up, that could be dangerous if broken and are messy, last but not least the music this time was a bit to loud, luckily we had heat plugs that protected us a bit. Anyway this place is amazing as was the great concert.

Lit club with unique music and style. Drinks came fast and service were good. Only thing is by 1 am the dance floor will be covered in broken glass. Long line to get in but that's because it's a good club. My rec is to get tickets beforehand online.

Nice club. Parties with national and international DJs. Everything about disco, R'n'B and house is played. Also famous for the Sanapa, which takes place every Saturday afternoon. Prices tend to be in the upper range. Friendly and attentive staff. Parking nearby. Also easily accessible by public transport and on foot.

The concert was great, entry was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. I was very disappointed, as were many other visitors, that no bar was open in the concert hall. For a drink you had to go to the normal bar, which was a long way from the concert. I would have liked to have consumed more than one drink. But since I didn't want to miss anything, I stuck with the one that I picked up before the concert started. I also found the outlet to be poorly organized. The door next to the cloakroom was locked and you had to leave the restaurant through the bar.

Very nice location, very expensive drinks, especially the beer was very bad. Great counter manager in the bar next door. Audience very reserved.
