Very good cuisine! unfortunately served by the owner who forgot what smiling means and who was poor at service with oversights, reminders, error in the order.... Everything we don't appreciate in a restaurant! Quite the opposite of his very friendly waiter who made up for it! Shame on her!

I give you a 3.5. Why.....Nice ambience, good pizza. Excellent insalata mista (lots of lettuce). The feel-good atmosphere as a whole is not convincing. Warm hospitality is not experienced (as a guest you feel like you are being handled). I may visit you again but with low expectations regarding the service.

There is no better pizza far and wide than in the Gotthardo restaurant!!! The entrecôte is also the most tender and finest meat that I have ever eaten in Switzerland. Vincenzo, Maria and the whole team are super friendly, do their job well, create a nice atmosphere and you can tell that they are very loving people. I also heard that Vincenzo's son, Loris, is the best in Switzerland, as is the food at Gotthardo.

Very good food in a nice but very noisy atmosphere. Nice welcome, but after that the service left a lot to be desired. The food comes very quickly, i.e. the planned cozy meal was ready quickly and we looked for another restaurant.

Solid Italian. Expensive for what it was

We have been to the Gotthardo several times and have always received very courteous service. Italian hospitality lives here and the food was very authentic. Would love to come back.

The food was unbeatable... beautifully prepared & the taste was amazing... The atmosphere was very idyllic and warm for the fully packed restaurant. I rarely write a recommendation, but I felt obliged here.

Beautiful place with highly professional staff, top-notch food. I highly recommend visiting the place, it's better if you book in advance otherwise you'll have to wait a few minutes, but given the quality and kindness you'll gladly wait for it.

You feel very comfortable and welcome here Food: The pasta was very tasty, not absolutely top class, but on the level of a good Italian restaurant in Switzerland. The main point of criticism, however, is the mixed salad: Why is it ruined with a run-of-the-mill Italian ready-made sauce? Why not put oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper on the table like in Italy so that you can put together the salad dressing yourself? Overall a nice evening, nice restaurant, good food, but there is still room for improvement.

Food was very good (pizza) - one star deducted for the industrial salad dressing. Service unfocused, wrong wine given. Ambience outside on the street is not particularly good.

We ate a very good pizza and no extra charge for the extra plate as we shared a pizza.

Even though the restaurant wasn't that busy, our order was forgotten and we had to wait more than an hour for the food. The service daughter took away our empty glasses without asking if we wanted something else to drink. Not a real excuse either. Rating 👎

Sometimes a little little attention from the service staff

Very good cuisine and cozy. Small but nice. It's a shame that the operation hasn't been working so well lately. Sometimes waiters prefer to stand around or clear away things instead of at least bringing the menu to new guests. However, it's always worth going back because everything tastes great. From pizza to meat dishes, there is a wide selection.

Quite unfriendly staff: they got the wrong thing and didn't understand the complaint because they didn't speak the local language. The drink was served without a glass and only after intervention was a glass brought.

1. Too loud. Restaurant crowded. We had ordered a table of 8 people. We couldn't understand the other person at the end of the table. Communication unsuccessful. ONLY ONE TOILET WAS AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS. Lots of guests lined up for this big restaurant?! THE FOOD WAS SOBER AND SIMPLE, EVERYTHING TASTED UNSEASONED. VEAL MEAT SEALED. I CHOOSE VEAL BETTER AND MORE TENDER. IN SHORT, NEVER WIESER. SERVICE WAS GREAT DESPITE EVERYTHING.

Traditional restaurant with a large selection of Italian and international menus. Really good and large pizzas made in the in-house pizza oven. Friendly and quick service, spacious outdoor seating. Good value for money offer. I have been visiting Gottardo for over 30 years and can definitely recommend visiting this restaurant.

It used to be good. Waited 35 minutes for a pale pizza even though I ordered it well baked. Service underground. You are ignored, put off and everyone keeps busy. I was served 2 drinks and I ordered 1. In addition, the grated Parmesan is placed in front of my nose - with a ham pizza?! Ciao and goodbye.

I rediscovered the Gottardo restaurant after years. I feel like I'm at home. Very nice and humorous family that runs the restaurant. Very good and inexpensive food!

Piccata 33.50 Fr., for side dish (fries) 8 Fr!! The fries were soggy, greasy and you could taste that they were fried in old fat.

This is good Italian restaurant in Baden. They got large collection of Pizza and other Italian menus. Very close to city center. Outdoor seating is also available.

Drunk Eastern Bloc Italian as a waiter Bottom drawer groping my wife and verbal insults round off the evening. We definitely won't be there again. When leaving the restaurant, insulting words again, especially to guests because they didn't tip enough. That can't be.

Not recommendable! Finished products and industrial sauces!!! After the waiter asked for feedback and noticed that it wasn't optimal, he left the table without a word with an arrogant smile!!

Went there on a business dinner. We were a larger group so the service was slow which was expected but the food did not live up to the hype.

I have never experienced such poor service in my entire life. I was there 2.3 weeks ago with a few friends. About 30 minutes later we were asked for drinks. The waiting times in general were catastrophic. The women's toilet was completely messed up on the floor and when we reported it they said "no time". Service was generally very unfriendly, people were constantly rolling their eyes etc. and the waitress ran away again when they hadn't even finished ordering. Once when we wanted to order more drinks, we were told "many other guests want something too" and ran away. Even when we wanted to pay, we had to wait a very long time and there were again snippy answers. You also pay extra for the pasta at Scalloppine al limone, which I have never experienced anywhere else. When I asked when paying what the amount was, I got another very unfriendly answer: "Should I pay for the supplement myself or what?". The food was the only thing that was okay. I cannot and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Shocked! The Gottardo is no longer what it used to be. The staff is so loud that it is impossible to have a conversation in this restaurant. Additionally, one of the employees practically coughed on our plates as he walked past. It's a shame, the food is actually good, but it's definitely the last time I've been there.

We were expelled from the restaurant in a very loud and unfriendly manner. We were still waiting for the Covid certificate, which arrived 2 minutes after leaving the restaurant, as indicated in advance. We could have been kindly asked to wait outside and have a drink, but the owner made a huge drama out of it. That's not how you treat guests. Never again!

We went to this restaurant twice. The first time the food was served to us cold. Nevertheless, we gave the restaurant a second chance. On the second visit we were treated very unfriendly by the staff, including the business owner. A no-go for me. I definitely don't recommend it.

We went to Gottardo for dinner. We weren't greeted and looked for the table ourselves using the reservation card. We just didn't feel welcome! The waitress was unmotivated, somewhat condescending and wasn't interested in offering us anything else. The food was fine, but based on this experience we wouldn't come back so quickly and wouldn't recommend the restaurant to others. A pity!

Was eating at Gottardo today. I ordered scaloppine al limone with vegetables. The meat was good, the vegetables from the freezer had no salt or pepper. Just boring. In addition, the waiter appeared to be drunk. When he asked if it was good and I said what I was writing here, he didn't let me finish and made it ridiculous. It's a shame that criticism is neither accepted nor listened to.

The service was very stressful, even though there wasn't much going on. Wanted to clear the table before everyone was finished. We didn't really feel comfortable. Food was okay, rather oversalted or completely bland... The visit was disappointing.

The service and ambience was good. Had a tomato mozzarella salad as a starter. He was average okay. However, with the lettuce the sauce was a ready-made sauce. The spaghetti aglio e olio was good but only lukewarm.

We had dinner with business partners in the Gottardo restaurant. We were all super satisfied and the truffle pasta was wonderful.

Service was friendly and the food was delicious as usual. It's a shame that the children's meals are only slightly cheaper than those for adults. Positive: my daughter was offered the ice cream for dessert on the house

This restaurant offers everything your heart desires from southern Italian cuisine. Service OK The prices are a little higher than expected, this is probably due to the central location in the city of Baden.
