Grotta Azzurra-Waffenplatz in St. Gallen

I waited over 1.5 hours for food when it reopened and then left.

I previously ordered from the restaurant via EAT.ch. When the food arrived after almost an hour, I was a little disappointed with the burger I ordered. The bread was very hard and chewy. But I ate the burger anyway because it can always happen that something went wrong and it was evening. I also ordered three desserts. One for me, one for my sister and one for my brother. Once the tiramisu, cheesecake Monterosa and once Profiterol. My sister was extremely happy with the tiramisu, it was very tasty. The cheesecake had water at the bottom of the shell and was very soggy and not very appetizing looking. My brother didn't finish it. When I wanted to start my Profiterol, I noticed the strange smell. It smelled very sour and was no longer in good condition. When I saw the expiry date everything was clear to me... 09/2021. I made this order today (01/11/2022) I was very disappointed, not only because I didn't have dessert, but because this can also end very dangerously, for example with food poisoning.

I ordered the Tortiglioni al Ragu once. Tasted excellent. I've been ordering from Grotta Azzurra almost every week since then. 😋

I ate the homemade "Spagetti Carbonara"... Simply amazing... I'll be back!!!

The old restaurant was already dingy under the last owner and things aren't looking any better with the new one. There is rubbish and rubbish in front of and behind the building and weeds are growing everywhere. The cheap tarpaulin advertising just looks dingy, as does the fencing around the garden with wooden pallets.

The Grotta Azzura called Restaurant Waffenplatz in St.GallenWinkeln is in an ideal location. Popular. Garden spot under the trees. Good menu for food and drink and simple and yet good. Good price - service offering. Very warm and friendly service. Pizza menu. Parking space available also for trucks. Quick on the motorway. I'll go back. Recommended.

The pizzas are amazing 👍🏼 The prices are totally okay! Gladly again!

To be honest, I'm sorry, what's so good? Now I've got a few different things and it's just great👌👌👌 and I've never waited longer than 25 minutes, by far the best restaurant where they deliver in SG👍

Super Schnitzel zume faire Price!!

Good restaurant where the price/performance ratio is still right. Large portions, well prepared and friendly service. The XXL meal (upon reservation) is also a real hit and always an experience!

Simple stain. Come, drink coffee, pay.

Agnes and Guido have created a place with a very friendly atmosphere. The personal attention that the guests receive from Agnes is unprecedented. I have chosen the 400 g Rumpsteak from the menu. It came in a pan with a burner accompanied by a nice portion of herbs butter and fries (you can choose vegetables too). You can finish cooking of the meat to your taste in the pan, or eat it rare as served. The meat itself is one of the best in St. Gallen. The prices are friendly too.
