A beautiful cozy place, by the lake. Loved the food, the pizza was so soft and well seasoned. We also tried the spinach and ricotta angloti which was so rich in taste. Love our lunch experience here. A good number of Veg options were available to choose from. The staff was very polite and took extra care to explain the menu to us as we did not know Italian. Loved the service too ! Will definitely come back given the chance.

Very lovly place with a great view and a small but mostly homemade menu. The onwer was very friendly and happy to explain us all the options in detail. Putine and Polenta with Brasato were a delight. But the homemade "Cremeschnitte" for dessert took the cake! Don't miss that. Only problem were the mosquitos after sun down. Take an anti-spray with you or you'll be one the menu as well.

Wir hatten aber bemerkt, dass Gäste, welche nicht essen, eher unerwünscht sind. Schade, dass sie in dieser vermeintlich schweren Zeit die Tische lieber leer lassen.

Tisch bekommt man nur wenn man isst, dies fanden wir nicht ungewöhnlich um 14:00 nachmittags und auch nachvollziehbar. Wir (2 Personen an einem kleinen 2er-Tischli in der Ecke beim Buffet )hatten bereits das Getränk auf dem Tisch und bestellten vorerst Essen für rund CHF 40.00. (Menüs zwischen CHF 14.00 und 34.00 im Angebot) Die Bedienung regierte sehr unzufrieden, dass sei zu wenig, Gerne hätten wir danach noch einen Dessert und Kaffee genommen. dies interessierte die Bedienung nicht, sie jammerte, dass sie innert 4 Monaten den gesamten Jahresumsatz machen müssen.Wir durften noch austrinken und mussten dann gehen - ohne Essen. Randbemerkung: das Grotto war nur zur Hälfte besetzt.

Geht es noch aber dicher jammrrn wegen Unterstützung durch den Bund!? Diesen GL gehört gefeuert! Das ist kein Zugpferd sonderen ein Bremsklotz. Ich werde dieses Grotto sicherlich meiden! Der Hammer am Schluss wir nehmen nur Karte ab CHF 30.-...kostete 23.40...wegen 0.60 kam sie mir noch frech und grinste mir ins Gesicht.

In der ganzen Zeit als wir dort waren, war nur noch ein Tisch mit zwei Personen besetzt... Das bestellte essen (nachmittags um 17.00 Uhr) kam sehr schnell. Doch die Gnocchi waren verkocht, wässerig und die Tomatensauce fad. Das kleine Basilikumblatt konnte da auch nichts mehr retten. Auch die Ravioli al Brasato (ca.9-10 Stk.) waren nicht so der Hit. Sie schmeckten zwar gut waren aber lauwarm und es war die selbe fade Tomatensauce wie auf meinen Gnocchi. Die Bedienung war nett, lies sich aber gerne ablenkenken ( ich musste sie zum zahlen nochmals extra rufen wei wir sonst den Bus verpasst hätten) und bediente andauern mit heruntergezogener Maske. Für mich zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt ein No-Go!

Very fine takeaway food options during Covid times. The quality of the food is top, and the service is so friendly! Highly recommend the veal polenta. Perfect for grabbing food and drinks after a stroll (hike?) through Parco Scherer. I imagine the terrace is amazing when it reopens! But for now, there are plenty of nice benches by the lake for eating al fresco when the weather agrees.

Ganz besonders zu empfehlen sind nebst den Spare Ribs (Puntine) Gnocchi welche nebst anderer Pasta hausgemacht werden. Ich und mein Mann bestellen zum Dessert immer Creme Caramel und Tiramisu, das perfekte Tüpfchen auf dem „i“. Perfetto!!!
