Grotto Laghetti Audan in Quinto

Special food, Adequate and dedicated service, Amazing environment. An enchanting Grotto surrounded by greenery, with the possibility of fishing for excellent trout, char, Canadian trout, enjoying nature. The owners of the Grotto are truly special people, and the lady makes lasagna that my son loves. Easy to reach, we love that place, this year we were also there for my birthday, a day of peace, serenity and tranquility, immersed in nature, fishing and relaxing. There's no point in describing it too much, the secret is to go there.

Nice place great for a break in nature

We pulled off the highway for a quick lunch and couldn't have done better. Fantastic food, beautiful surroundings. Lots of fun for kids. The environment is simple and rustic, but homey. Highly recommended.

WOW, pulled off the freeway to have lunch on the way to Lake Como and and stumbled upon this little gem while looking for another place. Best gnocchi ever and perfect setting on the patio next to the fishing pond. Can’t miss if you’re looking for an authentic Swiss/Italian experience.

Great place to refuel and continue driving. Very child friendly. There are enough play things to keep them busy. You can also rent fishing equipment here and clean fish to take with you. Really great. View also great between the mountains. Fresh breeze with strong sun in the summer.

Excellent quality-price restaurant. The managers are friendly and nice. Too bad about fishing! Few trout maybe all six of us were unlucky?

Very nice place, surrounded by trees (for shade) and the service is great. All dishes are handcrafted and with attention to the smallest details. Average price.

We were able to have dinner as a couple in this magnificent place. A magnificent family decor and atmosphere. We ate polenta and a mushroom lasagna which was just delicious. The staff is very helpful and quick. We look forward to returning one day without rain.

It would be nice if they specify that there is no food served after lunch. I checked the webpage but did not see that piece of information . We arrived around 5 pm. And all they could offer was a plate of cheeses. It was a shame because the place looks great to stop with kids as a good break on our road trip.

A beautiful place for some relaxation

Easter lunch. Excellent and characteristic Ticino grotto. Excellent quality Easter menu. A special applause to the staff and the owner for the care and attention towards customers and for always making them feel at ease, Definitely worth a visit. The only note, especially for Italians, is that the prices are above the average they are used to in Italy, but adequate to Swiss standards.

An enchanting place 😍 surrounded by nature… There are two lakes for fishing and for spending a pleasant day for adults and children alike 😍 I was there for lunch during my work break. We were lucky, as we had a wonderful day and eating in the open air was very nice 😍. The lady who runs the place makes you feel at home, her friendliness and simplicity envelops you as if she were the grandmother we would all like to have in the family ❤️. Good lunch and good value for money 😜. PS: if after eating the menu, you are still hungry, don't hesitate to ask for another!!! She will be happy to take you on another tour, all included in the price of the menu 😍🥰.

Very nice place. Pleasant atmosphere. We went there with the children for fishing and lunch. Also has lots of toys for the kids.

I have been many times, nice place, today 08.26.2022 very disappointed, a shame, there were no rods for fishing. The children were very disappointed, the owner asked for a rod and he didn't bother to get me one, and luckily there were only 4 people fishing. Total disappointment, if you want to fish avoid

Found a bit by chance, to avoid waiting times for the Gotthard tunnel (in any case we made the move!) We had lunch on the lake, standard prices for the area, good quality, courteous and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Uncomfortable place (small toilet with thin plastic walls, very low ceiling). Unfriendly staff, act as if they do not understand and are unhappy with you visiting. Extremely expensive food for the quality they serve. We had no option (1,5 hour traffic delay due to closed roads) but would absolutely not recommend.

We went there for dinner today with the whole family. The location is beautiful. I can't say anything about the food because we weren't served. The waitress with the blonde hair was unfriendly and didn't let us order anything because there were a lot of people there at lunchtime. So we could only order drinks and ice cream from the freezer, pralinato, etc. I was very disappointed because we really wanted to have something to eat with the family and enjoy the time together. That's why I don't recommend the location. I go to a location like this to eat something and I don't get served? What kind of shop is this? Bad, bad, bad is all I can write about it. I hope the manager reads the message and trains the whole team to be friendly or hires people who are trained to wait tables. You are welcome to contact me so that I can tell you personally. The place is beautiful in the middle of nature with a pleasant lake that deserves 5 stars. The restaurant is adjacent to the lake, the food is good, but the management leaves something to be desired and does not stand out as particularly friendly. On the contrary. 2 stars.

Fishing fun for the whole family. You can come spontaneously, all the equipment is available on site. Everyone is guaranteed to catch something in this lake sooner or later :) One star deducted because a short introduction for new people would be nice (fishing laws, proper killing, gutting, etc.)

I have already been up several times to fish in the large lake, paying the daily fee, and like the other times, both I and all the other people did not catch anything all day, in cc. 30 people who fished took out 1 fish.... I was very disappointed, I don't know if the fish are simply missing or if they are being fed, if you want to go fishing in the small lake, per kg it is excellent, the restaurant It's also excellent, but I don't recommend fishing to anyone.

A nice little place to stop. A lake for fishing, food, toilette and a place to stretch you legs. Mostly used by locals. The lake is right next to this rock climbing wall. Exit Quinto when coming from the north after exiting the tunnel. Turn right then bear right on a small street when you get to the railroad Bridge. Then go straight 200 meters.

Beautiful place, convenient parking, large lawn for camping, grotto with local specialties. Possibility to fish with your own rod or one supplied on site. You pay for your catch by the kilo and can have it cleaned. Playground and toilets. A little oasis.

The Audan lake is suitable for sport fishing, paying 30chf. it is possible to fish up to 10 trout. In case you want to fish without fail, adjacent to the pond there is a shallow water tank in which there are many trout, a godsend for small fishermen 🙂. In the tank you pay for fish per kg.

Great for fishing, fine food. I highly recommend it for families with small children who want to go fishing.

Beautiful place, kind staff and the lady is uniquely kind and has unique know-how. We had a great time. It is a complete place where you can fish, drink an aperitif, eat something in total relaxation even for us parents because there is a beautiful playground

nice place, but damn they don't put fish! from 8am to 2pm, the two of us caught a two-ounce trout (for 60 francs). I won't go back (at least not for fishing, at 30.- if I ever eat at their grotto). Disappointed.

It has changed management... if you arrive early in the morning or late in the afternoon to fish in the very large lake they will still cost you 30 fr per person!

Quiet place in nature, ideal for families. The grotto is nice with simple but good dishes. Low prices. With two lakes, one of which is small where the catch is paid per kg and the second costs a daily fee of Fr.30.-. An observation!! When there are many fishermen, most of whom are amateurs and inexperienced, the manager should not only limit himself to pocketing what he owes but introduce a certain quantity of trout to entertain especially the kids. Earning is more than right but you also have to give...!!

Very expensive.... 5 pasta plates each 15 euros, one without sauce 12.50 euros (i.e. dry pasta, I get 12 packets of pasta from the store) 2 coffees, 2 cola, 2 vegetable soups... a whopping 100 euros... is it always that expensive, right? Tourism rip-off? Maybe you should learn how to deal with criticism. Because it's a crazy expense though. It was 100 euros on the head EURO because you can also convert francs. I do a weekly shop for 100 euros. And for 50 euros we go to very good restaurants in GERMANY. As I said, tourist rip-off or overconfidence? Have fun.

Wonderful place!! Good find for us coming back from visiting Italy and on our way back to Germany. It was congested at A2 and my family and I decided to do a detour. They have a beautiful lake and pond behind the cafe that you can cast and keep what you catch. Cost about 19 euro per kilo.
