Price-performance okay, salad buffet looked better than it was, the soup bowl was a bit very small! The 'älplermaggeronen' is pasta with cheese sauce and if you're lucky you'll get one or two pieces of potato floating in the sauce.

Very good food and very friendly service. Were there after the moonshine tour. Generous, varied buffet. We can wholeheartedly recommend the event including dinner.

The restaurant would actually be very modern. The outdoor playground is also great. If only it weren't for the food itself: the gnocchi, which were unfortunately only lukewarm, had obviously been in the pot for a long time. They were then mixed with some fresh ones. At least only every second one tasted as dry as the mouflon food. The vegetables were also completely overcooked. A pity. Next time it's better to take something with you for the fire pit... PS: The child seat covers that you can assemble yourself are very impractical. Especially if you are traveling alone with children and therefore already have your hands full. Normal Ikea seats or Triptraps would be much more practical. ;-)

Very modern and cozy self-service restaurant. The prices are also reasonable for a larger family.

We had our Christmas event at the zoo. Started with a fine aperitif. Afterwards we went on an interesting night tour of the zoo with the rangers. We had a delicious dinner in a lovely atmosphere at the Grüne Gans. Thanks to the whole team for the wonderful event.

The food wasn't good. Everything was lukewarm at best. The gnocchi with pesto was so dry that we had to add ketchup. The children's portion is sweet, but expensive. I'm happy to pay a little more, especially when it comes to animals, but the quality has to be worth it...

The service, commitment and friendliness of the medium-dark-skinned staff when preparing food behind the buffet is below any level. Doesn't understand the German language, leaves people standing there for fifteen minutes, when you talk to him he mumbles something and runs away, this with only four people. Buffets were empty, not refilled, neither sandwiches nor salads. Such employees are unacceptable in such a busy place and should be replaced by friendly, willing employees of our ethical origins!

Too many visitors to the zoo and the Green Goose since Sunday

We took burgers and a kids pasta with cheese sauce and none of these was good. We paid around 70chf for food with drinks and were very disappointed in the experience.

The food is not my taste. But what I had was very well prepared.

Located in the middle of a unique animal park, the restaurant offers plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for individual guests, families and groups. During the day the noise level is quite high for children's reasons. Life pulsates really intensely. The specific banquets outside of park opening hours can then be quite dignified. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice restaurant in the middle of the park, very close to the bear enclosure. We were there as a group, the restaurant is an excellent location for parties and larger events. The service was top and the grill buffet was brilliant and had a lot of choice. The restaurant is also suitable for coffee/ice cream and cake in the afternoon. Nice outdoor area with lots of shade right next to the children's playground. I can only recommend it.

My 3 stars are only for the restaurant.. The park itself is great... we've been here several times... there's a renovation going on at the moment, it's definitely going to be great and we'd love to come back. Now to the restaurant... until now we had always looked forward to the Alpine macaroni... but today it was pure horror... a ladleful of penne full of oil, at first I thought it was penne water, which was still OK... then a spoon slapped her with some kind of white sauce with herbs on it.. Taste 0 and when I discovered the oil bath while eating, I left it alone.. with my husband, who ordered ghackets with croissants, the whole thing looked even worse with the oil bath.. and the taste was the same a 0.. really a shame.. the children's fries were good..

The food and all were good, the service was nice but the prices were very high. I am pretty sure their ingredients are mostly locally sourced, so the price does make some level of sense. The biggest reason people likely come here is because it's in the animal park. So if you're on vacation and coming around, I'd say don't cheap out and give this place a try but if you're rolling on a budget or just coming for your second trip this year I'd recommend getting something to eat on the way in rather than opting for the park's restaurant.

Great brunch in the zoo, with admission. This means you can feed the animals while passing by the stream of visitors. Afterwards there is a rich buffet for brunch. Cappuccino would be ☕ great 🙈.

Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm. And the chicken nuggets are really not recommended. The consistency and taste is underground. The chicken nuggets tasted like sausage. As if the nuggets were fried in the deep fryer with other sausages... Fries were good and the person was friendly. Still very disappointing :(

Attention, dear guest! Those in charge of the Green Goose let the individual day guests sit crammed together in a corner of the restaurant and give preference to the few banquet guests. It's better to leave aperitifs standing around instead of offering space for paying guests. Weak as hell. Today the restaurant missed so many guests. They don't seem to need it here. So you can give it a wide berth here!

Expensive, the food is trash. The coffee is weak and be prepared to pay almost 5 CHF for no name cola drink.

Nice, looked good at first glance. Touch of modern cuisine, typical of a zoo. Unfortunately, the fish crispies were rotten and therefore inedible. Now half the family is in bed with stomach aches. I wanted to report it but no one was interested. Poor fish crispies.

It is a very nice place for smaller children to take a break and play. What I think is a shame is that the prices are quite high. A family with three children pays quite a lot. Will come back to the zoo.

It was a great day in the park. The food was ok. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the cash register wanted to overcharge the family in front of us and eat too much with us. Supposedly by accident... .....have fun while you keep collecting.

The employees are nice, the ambience of the location is good, it is also clean and tidy, but we will never eat in this restaurant again. The chicken nuggets taste strange, even if the restaurant operator points out the quality of the meat. The tomato sauce on the penne was more water than sauce, so we received a new portion without sauce. The Wienerli (yes, you can actually do something wrong) tasted like it was a few days old. I can't say whether the fish origin is really regional. The fish crisps were definitely sustainable: They had probably been warmed up several times, which is the only way to explain the extremely hard frying coating and the disgusting taste. The fries were the only dish that was convincing. Our criticism was communicated to the chef, the response was a shrug but at least we received a new portion of penne without sauce. The criticism was also left at the checkout that we had been given a dessert or coffee as an apology, but we politely declined. It's a shame that the really great zoo serves up such food, which is extremely expensive, to its guests. Neither the quality nor the price are right here.

Nice restaurant inside Goldau Tierpark. Good choice of food and the prices are well calibrated. A lot of space inside and outside for comfortable lunch and conversation. Like a lot the idea of mix salad chosen based on your own preferences.

Cold fries for CHF 9.50, in pairs of lukewarm Wienerli without bread for CHF 9.50 etc etc etc. Rip-off at its best….

You're right about choosing the guest. On the menu there is schnitzel fries for SFr 17.50 at the checkout SFr 24.00 and that at the self-service restaurant. I was really here for the first and last time. The coffee is also too expensive for this quality.

The food was OK, but we had to wait a long time for our turn, there was a very long line that stretched way outside. Rather expensive for my taste. What caught my attention the most, 1.5 liter mineral water bottle 11 stutz? Sorry that's a rip off dear people.

The prices of the hot dishes are higher than usual but the quality is impeccable!!! Super nice staff. The burger is great :-)...I'm looking forward to the next time.

Price-performance is bad. Penne were hard and lay in the rechaud for about 30 minutes. Tomato sauce was just OK. Better scheduling and general planning - the eye eats too. You can also make good food at the Rechaud/Baimeri and make it look nice too but the tomato sauce was almost certainly in the burger too (instead of BBQ) Staff friendliness (kitchen staff) you can still work on it. or that people know the menu! You can have a burger with all the side dishes (lettuce/tomatoes/cucumbers). We won't be coming any more, we'd rather save the money!

Today's visit to the Goldau Zoo - Burger 16.80.- and was nothing special, far too expensive for this quality - Älpler pastries were cooked for too long and some of them had been left standing around for too long, so they dried out. The cheese sauce isn't even freshly made, it's straight from the pack! a huge disgrace for this price segment. It's a shame that I haven't been there for years and wanted to highlight some memories, but the beautiful day was overshadowed by the food!!!

We loved that there were vegan options. Unfortunately, it didn't convince us very much. The sweet potato gnocchi swim in the oil sauce. With the best will in the world, we couldn't continue eating it and left it alone. For just over 16.50 we definitely didn't get anything cheap. Our tip: please leave the oil alone!

Always perfect for coffee and cake. But the food is no better than in a standard canteen. The meat in the burger had a firm, compact consistency and contained hard pieces of gristle. Weak for the price. The children's penne was cold, overcooked and the "tomato sauce" tasted primarily like carrots (and was therefore refused). And all of this at 12:00 during peak time. Long story short: a lot of room for improvement.

Good selection for young and old. Fair prices and enough space, even if there is a bit more crowd.

Unfortunately I can't praise the food, the nuggets were almost inedible, the children agreed they tasted like bratwurst. But what bothered me most was that in Switzerland I only get a chicken bratwurst and not a real one. One more thing the staff was friendly.

Staff was friendly and ambience inside was ok. But the food was inedible. We had a burger, chicken nuggets and fries. I like eating chicken nuggets but I've never had anything as bad as these. Quality was ok (didn't have a stomach ache) but the taste wasn't good at all. They taste more like pork than chicken. The burger was tasteless and the fries had too much fat on them. In general the food lacked taste. I can't understand the gourmet award. There is great potential for improvement here!

Food was okay but way too expensive considering it wasn't prepared to order, but rather prepared, kept warm and scooped up like in a cafeteria!! Breaded schnitzel and fries separately cost over 20 francs! The pork schnitzel was very small and the portion of fries for 8.50 could have been more generous. As a family with 1 child, we paid 45 Fr. for 2 drinks, 1 children's menu and 1 adult menu... we parents shared the food and drinks, otherwise we would have ended up with over 60 Fr. 😵😵

I'm at a loss for words!!! The price, an absolute disgrace! You might think for the price you get a 5 star menu —> Negatives!!! My 5 year old daughter would have made better food in your toy kitchen. One star was given for the friendly staff.

The food was ok and the staff was friendly too. However, the prices were relatively high. We paid 14.- for a burger and another 8.- for the fries separately. So next time we would have a picnic.

Ate the lentil curry, the dish of the day (sweet and sour tofu), and a port each. Fries and vegetables. The lentil curry was absolutely tasteless and the vegetables and potatoes were far undercooked. The tofu dish was way too sour - tasted like vinegar. The Port. Vegetables almost raw and almost unseasoned. The only thing that deserves the second star is the good fries and the reasonable prices.

Unfortunately the meat was too tough. It has been said that the deer is absolutely fresh...but the best meat can't help if the chefs can't prepare it.

Just ate the vegan lentil curry, lacked any taste, carrots and potatoes half raw. Really lacking covid hygiene concept, allowing unvaccinated people to serve themselves at a buffet, cutlery not individually wrapped allowing many people to touch multiple cutlery . Tables were still dirty from last person sat to eat . Basically, I've seen much better hygiene concepts.

Great buffet, modern location and attentive service

The toilets are not clean at all. I find the service a bit outdated and not accommodating enough. The food wasn't really good. Hard potatoes, sour herb butter, the meat was more tough than tender.

In a good location with a children's playground but the quality of the food does not correspond to the prices charged. The veal sausage was of poor quality or had already expired/frozen several times - inedible, I had to leave it alone. You notice that there are no alternatives in the park.

Today I was at the Grüne Gans restaurant around 2:30 p.m. After looking at the salad buffet that had started, I and my wife decided on something warm. After we waited for 5 minutes: workers stood there but were not served until we asked. Then we ordered the following: Veal bratwurst with bread: Bratwurst was from lunch, lying in the fat next to a silver Tuperware that was standing directly on the grill with some old cleaning agent njamii, old sausage, old fat plus cleaning agent, that's delicious. Besides everything, sorry for the expression, just pooches in the kitchen who have probably never had a cookbook in their hands in their lives. My schnitzel with fries was a warmed lunchtime schnitzel covered in double fat. As well as old fries that were soggy. All in all, a bit of a letdown. I will definitely never eat anything there again.
