We now eat at this restaurant at least once every week. As a lover of good home-style cooking, I am always pleasantly surprised by the diversity of this cuisine. The ambience of the restaurant is rustic and cozy at the same time. The rustic furnishings, combined with loving details, give the place an authentic character. You immediately feel at home. The menu offers a diverse selection of traditional dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. I chose the veal bratwurst with onion sauce and hash browns – a real poem! Portions were generous and each dish was prepared and presented with care. The service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly and always willing to make recommendations and respond to individual requests. Overall, my visit to this restaurant was a wonderful experience that I recommend to anyone looking for good food, cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Bad service, the employees are totally overwhelmed and really stressed. Of course, as a guest you notice this. Things ordered incorrectly arrive at the table, or you wait a long time. It all seems a bit unprofessional. But there are enough staff, they are probably simply not well trained. So I won't come again. It's a shame actually

Top for years.. good home-style cooking..you can have small or larger portions, as the customer likes...I always feel very comfortable and valued, even when I go out to eat alone..I also often take take away. ...the Grünwald also shines at larger events...100% recommended

The staff could definitely be more motivated. And smiling at someone every now and then and making eye contact wouldn't hurt either. The food (Cordonbleu) was very good. We knew that and drove 30 minutes to the restaurant. We would come again and hope for better service.

We were there last weekend with the family for my brother's 60th birthday. Even the menu discussion with the boss was very pleasant. Needs are taken into account and they are very flexible. The food was really good and the service was attentive and friendly. Whether in winter or summer, I really like it in the Grünwald. Best regards

Easily accessible and plenty of parking spaces. It's cozy inside. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Absolutely unseasoned, the vegetables were pulled out of the water and the noodles and the rest were absolutely bland. The salad dressing was definitely a ready-made sauce. All ingredients also cost extra, e.g. E.g. cocktail sauce etc. Fr. 4.50, cordon bleu with fries (fries cost extra). Definitely expected something better for these hefty prices. The coffee didn't really taste good either. We won't come back.

Spontaneously reserved a table for the holidays and we were thrilled with the visit: + great ambience + very friendly staff + Food was served quickly and tasted very good (the Mistkratzerli is highly recommended) + very child-friendly (children don't have to wait long for their food and get a goody bag with puzzles and painting materials) + a dessert is included in the children's menu + beautiful outdoor area with a large playground We'd love to come back!

We had dinner with a group of 20 people on the second floor of the restaurant. Despite being such a large group, the service was good and everyone ordered à la carte. The place is next to a forest and has a privileged view. My favorites are the sausage salad with cheese and the Rösti (striped potato) with bacon and ham.

It is always a great pleasure to eat in Grünwald. We were served very friendly and the Cordon Bleu was heavenly.

Unfortunately, price/performance is not right. At 21.00 for a complete nut salad, you can definitely expect a slightly larger portion and better salad dressing. Unfortunately, the Cordon Blue was poorly filled and the meat was dry and the breading was fine. Unfortunately, the fries weren't fully fried. The cream and cherries for dessert are from a can. It's so loud in the restaurant on the 1st floor that you can no longer understand your own words. But the service staff were quite nice.

The food in Grünwald used to be always great. The last time the schnitzel and the cordon bleu were unfortunately too greasy and the fries weren't crispy either. For a hefty price of over CHF 50 for the veal version, I expect a top product. Unfortunately that wasn't the case! So we won't be coming back any time soon.

For such a selection of Cordon Bleus and prices, you would think they would all be perfectly seasoned, unfortunately not. Had “Zürcher Cordon Bleu” breading was soggy and greasy as well as the fries and unsalted. Not to mention the very intense pork smell, almost not edible. The leaf salt was floating in the sauce. True, the last time in Grünwald.

Mistchratzerli was small, bland, dry and the skin was limp and greasy and that for 29.- (without any side dish!!!!!!) Cordonbleu of veal with vegetables and fries 60.-!!!!!!!!!! We didn't even pay that much at the Michelin restaurant. As others have mentioned, the breading was greasy and soggy. We ordered a tomato mozzarella starter, which we got for 21.50!!!!!! 1 mozzarella and 6 slices of tomatoes. Absolutely exorbitant prices for a simple garden restaurant without nice table settings. Fortunately, there are many other places for better performance and good food at reasonable prices. Mass processing, dirty toilets, no thanks - never, ever again!!!

The service was good and nice. The meal, i.e. the Cordon Blue, was MUCH too small for the price of 60 francs! Unfortunately, the price for the upgrade from pork to veal was well hidden and I only saw it on the bill. It's my own fault, I just had to read better. It was a shame, however, that the portion was more suitable for 30 than 60 francs. The tomato mozzarella salad was so overpriced at 21.50! However, we ordered it as a starter for 2.50 p.m. The four of us dropped off around 350 francs without a bottle of wine. The disproportion between price and performance has rarely been so great. Regardless, the restaurant is history and I will definitely never be a guest there again.

We had a wonderful evening there, the food was very good (only the salad dressing could be improved). The lady who served us definitely deserves more than 5 stars, I have rarely experienced such great, courteous and extremely friendly service (a big thank you to the pretty black-haired woman with the enchanting smile, you gave that to my family and me evening sweetened).

Good food, cozy atmosphere. At midday, inexpensive lunch menu. Been there many times, lunch and evening. The food is always good and freshly prepared. A great restaurant with children, very child friendly. A nice sun terrace, even if it is very warm, it is very pleasant next to the forest.

I can highly recommend it. It's nice inside and it's interesting on the terrace. You'll have to take a bigger wallet with you, but it's worth it, the food is wonderful.

It's nice when something that was once good is still good. The Grünwald restaurant used to be a frequent part of my commute to work. I was always happy to be a guest and was never disappointed. After being away for more than 10 years (my job had changed), I drove by again by chance. Since it was lunchtime, I spontaneously decided to visit. The terrace was very full, but they still found a nice table for me at the edge. The waitress was extremely friendly and quick in service. The request for a drink came promptly and the beer was with me straight away. The map was medium sized, just right, and I had a hard time deciding. There was then meatloaf with Härdöpfelstock and vegetables. The dish was served quickly, hot and with a smile. The meatloaf was wonderful (almost like mommy's) the stick is creamy and the vegetables are crunchy. It probably couldn't be better. After two beers, two espressos and the main course, the bill: just over 40 CHF. Absolutely fair and fine. The friendly service is priceless anyway. I'll be back and not just after 10 years. Today! PS The four stars for Ambiente refer to the advertising parasols.

Our waitress was really nice and really helpful. The food came really quickly too. It's a shame we didn't like it so much. We expected more given the prices - the food could really be better. The perch fillets felt like they were 90% oil and only 10% fish. The salad dressings were really disappointing. The food used to be definitely better. And we find 5 francs for a liter of tap water at 32°C outside really outrageous.

Yesterday I was in Grünwald for the first time in years. A very nice place on the outskirts of Zurich. Large summer menu with fine menus with a very good price/performance ratio. Nice service. Only the shade available could be a little larger.

Kitchen good, service not! There was a drink in an hour and a half. Even though we asked for the bill twice, I had to go to the checkout myself about 20 minutes later, otherwise we would probably still be waiting. The service employee was also quite unfriendly. For the first time in my life I didn't tip.

Large, beautiful garden with old trees away from the street, therefore also nice and quiet. Playground with swings and 2 slides. The service was very friendly and helpful, the food came quickly and was good, the portions were rather generous. We'd love to come back!

Well... The flies were very annoying... Leberli with Rösti was very good for me. Unfortunately no vegetable curry with rice. No curry taste... Too diluted and the rice was simply watered down... too bad. The complaint was received indifferently.

We come to eat here very often. The food is absolutely amazing. Price/performance perfect. The service is very friendly, especially our favorite server, Tina. She's awesome, she knows so many guests what they're drinking and she's always smiling. I would give her 100 stars. Absolutely recommended.

We were traveling on the e-bike and wanted to eat something. Everything is nice and green and a great view. Employees are nice and courteous. The ordering and service went quickly. Minced meat with croissants was ok, but there are better options. The applesauce and cheese came straight from refrigeration and were now not exactly room temperature. Otherwise a nice time spent and ok as a stopover. Will definitely come back.

The restaurant is beautifully located next to the forest, but that is the only positive thing. The ambience in the restaurant is extremely questionable. Window frame next to the table is dirty with old food splatters. In the evening there were lots of little flies. Eating beef medallion, two pieces ordered medium rare. Obtained two different thicknesses, one completely chewy and the other with weird aftertaste. Probably old meat. Proud price approx. 39.-. When asked about it by the waitress, the reaction was completely wrong: “I told him,” completely unprofessional. We are “put off” with a free espresso. When paying, the bill was split incorrectly three times (there were four of us). Conclusion: Resti absolutely not recommended!

We were out and about again on a Sunday and were looking for a restaurant that was open and so we found this restaurant by chance. Attached to the restaurant is of course a huge terrace, which is partly covered and also a self-service section where, as the name suggests, you can take something yourself and walk to the cash register to pay. Unfortunately, parking spaces are very limited and we were just lucky enough to get the last one. It was clear to us right from the start that we wanted to eat inside and we had the pleasure - in the truest sense of the word and in a positive way - that we had the whole restaurant to ourselves because everyone was milling around outside despite the very strong winds wanted to eat outside. The menu was really very extensive, the service was fantastic because we had a lady from Eritrea who had fought her way through various training courses and who served and looked after us really well without ever seeming intrusive in any way. What was bad for us was that most people simply don't care that you can dress decently on a Sunday and even if it's a restaurant for excursions and you can also take a nice walk in the area, you could dress better. I saw certain people there walking around like I wouldn't even go to the toilet at home. Of course, it basically has nothing to do with the restaurant, but when people like that appear, the same people are attracted. Too bad. But if we always go out to eat somewhere decently and elegantly dressed, we will be served much better than others who allow themselves to go to a restaurant with sashes and shorts. Despite the huge terrace and the quite large restaurant, a situation is not only recommended, but I would definitely see it as mandatory, especially here, because a lot of people simply came into the restaurant and had not reserved a seat and therefore did not get a table and were annoyed Of course, even if you are so stupid and don't make a reservation in such a busy restaurant on a Sunday, then it's always everyone else's fault except you.

The restaurant was very busy, but the service was friendly, attentive and quick and the toilets were always clean. My exotic summer salad was delicious, but there were 9 of us in Grünwald and I can say that everyone enjoyed it very much :-)
