This place has three problems. Absolutely 0 atmosphere, this potato salad from the kettle and the price-performance ratio is not right. The schnitzels are okay and the service is great, but the rest is not recommended

For this price everything is presented carelessly No children's menus or small portions! I paid 89.- sfr for 1 child and 1 adult. Children's schnitzel fries for 33.- no salad. Nothing for dessert. 1 small scoop of ice cream would have been a happy experience for my daughter.

Hard to say. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE today. Little charm. Carelessly presented, schnitzel well salted. Children's menu not on the menu. Impertinent children's menu. Schipo and a drink for over 30 Fr. No salad.

Schnitzelhuus is my favourite place if I want to eat a schnitzel. The food is great, the service and the host are the nicest and the ambience is very nice feels like home. Highly recommended!

About 2.3 years ago there was a great nut salad with fresh and homemade croutons. Now, unfortunately, it is inedible and has modest ready-made croutons that resemble rusk cubes. The schnitzel used to be much better, but now it seems to have been replaced by frozen goods. The thick ready-made sauce (Jägerschnitzel) is too salty and the fries are dry and boring. I've been disappointed the last 2.3 times so I'm definitely writing off the schnitzelhaus now. It's a shame about the lost quality it once had! And the frequent delivery people standing around was a bit annoying too...

I don't know exactly how you want to earn money like that. As loveless as the restaurant is, the same is true of the food. Unseasoned cordon bleu with unmelted cheese, potato salad not homemade and carelessly placed separately on the table. Dessert, chocolate cake and apple strudel were also a finished product, which was served with a terrible vanilla soup. My only highlight of my visit was the Oerliker beer. Everything else had failed.

Good schnitzels but a lot of staff very friendly and very personable would share the food with my partner next time. Since we were going to a concert we couldn't take anything with us

Seven of us sat at a reserved table in a separate room. Arrived on time and then just waited 30 minutes until someone noticed us. Ordered food and drinks, the soft drinks came after about 10 minutes, the 3 beers after another 10 minutes. We then waited a little over an hour for the schnitzels we ordered. The food was OK, a muesli salad was forgotten and carelessly prepared and brought about 5 minutes later. In general there wasn't much going on in the restaurant, there was a lot of traffic with Eat.ch couriers. Unfortunately, for the first time and never again.

The food is very good and plentiful, the atmosphere is cozy, and the prices are reasonable. If you have a small stomach, you might want to skip the French fries.

For a “Schnitzelhuus” the schnitzels were well below average. I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel (elephant ear). The order was on the table really quickly, but the quality was really lousy. I received 2 medium-sized schnitzels (instead of one large one), half of which had already had the breading removed and the rest couldn't even be skewered because they were so crumbly. The meat was also very dark and not really delicate. However, my friend's Wiener Schnitzel (donkey's ear) was ok. 2x ice tea, 2x Fries, 2x schnitzel for a total of 100.-. The service spoke German poorly and we had to repeat the order twice. Overall, far too expensive for the quality offered. Become this Definitely won't visit the restaurant again.

Superb Schnitzels.. Tried the Wiener Art & Diabolo. Out of this world ! The homemade chilli sauce which comes with Diabolo is super hot & tasty. (We asked for a small pack to-go;) Sweet potato fries were also excellent. Owner speak fluent english ! Service with a smile

we were 5 people there on a monday around 5 pm. luckily we had reserved a table. we were outside and it was very nice weather. since the restaurant is located directly at an intersection, it was noisy accordingly. the schnitzel tasted excellent. the fries and sweet potatoes were ok. the roesticroquettes have disappointed me unfortunately, because they tasted like the frozen standard croquettes. unfortunately, the service was not so good. not everything was brought (although it was even written on the card). and the bill was not correct and had to be redone. nevertheless, i would like to eat there again.

The schnitzel was good, it was a nice portion, and we order the small one. Wine was fine. They have a terrace, but with traffic pasing by. Service was good.

We come back again for a schnitzel and salad, both were very tasty.

Very quick response to the online reservation and also very friendly and accommodating in the restaurant. The schnitzels were sensational, unfortunately I can't say that about the sweet fries and the normal fries (bland/very small portions/soggy). It's also a shame that you can't have a large selection of side dishes (vegetables). Price performance ok. I would love to come back during lunchtime too.

Terrible service! The food is not edible!!! Not recommendable! Schnitzel as thin as a sheet of paper and very dry. The soup from the Maggi bag or something. Iced tea like water with syrup! Pooh! It's better to invest in a real experience, for example in shipbuilding. There is a restaurant "Venice Bar" upstairs.

I always drive past there and thought I would like to eat here. Today I was with my father and girlfriend. I had a vegi schnitzel and the others had a normal schnitzel. Everything was very good, including the salad and the fries. There is also good wine. I really liked the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Will go again.

There were ten of us in the Schnitzelhuus today, and everyone was really happy! I had the schnitzel with rocket and parmesan, where the meat was super tender and the breading was perfectly seasoned. I'd love to come back!

A small restaurant with warm welcome. Quick and polite waiters, foods are ready in minutes and has excellent taste. We all eat different schnitzel but all was tasty and well prepared. Drink 1-2 good beer, so had a very plesent experince.

We ordered schnitzel fries. Meat very thin and lots of breading. It wasn't special. Dessert apple fritters with vanilla sauce very tasty. 😋 Service was nice. Price range rather expensive. I would have gladly paid that if it was really a good schnitzel!!

We tried to order through Mosi. A delivery time of 45-60 minutes was predicted on the website. Unfortunately it took 2.5 hours for the order to reach us. Unfortunately, far too much delay for a family with a small child. Very unfortunate. We asked for our money back.

The restaurant is also good for people that prefer chicken or vegetarian schnitzel. The portions are large, the service is friendly and the ambience is cozy.

The cordon bleu and the schnitzel, both served with fries, were good, both juicy.

Starting with the Fanta, which was no longer available, to the wine, which was no longer available, to the food, which was mediocre, we were disappointed. The staff made an effort.

Small restaurant, well located in Oerlikon. Specialized in schnitzel (breaded steak). It has a huge variety of breaded items. It has a small terrace. The veal panafo I tried was huge and very tasty.

Large selection of schnitzels, very good service

Food is generally good. However, the service is not pleasant at lunchtime. Three different people bring food, drink and ketchup and mayo. But without a shelf. The consequence of this was that they had to run x times. With 5 people, it took a long time until everyone had their food. A plate was brought to the wrong guest and we had to wait a long time until everyone could finally eat. I'm used to simply putting the drink on the table from my holidays in the south, but not in Zurich. Hot plates handed over guests' heads without warning. It was a long lunch break, but it wasn't crowned with many highlights.

I don't know why it has a 4.1 rating. The service is top and the food is very good. For everyone who is very hungry. The elephant ear is good in quantity and not too much. But take a side dish or appetizer. See you definitely next time :)

Had a reservation on a Saturday evening; When we arrived we had to wait 10-15 minutes in front of the door until we were escorted to the table. When we sat down at the table, we were totally forgotten because those who came after us had already received their menus. After eating we wanted to pay; Because of the long wait, we got up and paid at the counter. Sorry, once and never again because of poor service.

Schnitzel delivered with UberEats. The Schnitzel still fantastic. Tender, a good portion and filling. Not like these though and dry pieces I was fed as a kid. This was a good Schnitzel. The rosemary potatoes however are godawful. In case you order take out, … make your own, seriously! CHF6 for what amounts to 2 medium size potatoes that are barely pan fried is just laughable. I get that these items are your cash cow, but can you at least provide quality for such a basic item?

We were in front of the restaurant at 5:00 p.m. and when we called to see when the restaurant opened (the homepage says 5:00 p.m.) the lady on the phone said that she would open the door in a few minutes. Shortly after 10:5 she opened the door. Then we sat at the table and studied the menu, which didn't match the menu online or the one in front of the restaurant. When this was pointed out, the waitress had no explanation, she simply said that such and such wasn't available, even though it was listed on the menu outside the restaurant. My father ordered a cordon bleu with Gruyere cheese. When he asked what kind of cheese it was, the waitress first said Gruyere, of course, then Emmental, as it says on the menu. Half an hour later she apologized and said the chef had misunderstood and done it wrong. And she doesn't normally work here. In addition, my mother, my father and my partner had the food on the table for a good 10 minutes before my food finally arrived. The service was hardly visible, other guests who were outside constantly had to come in and order something. The door was constantly being opened, even though it was extremely cold and we kept closing it. The whole stay was totally unfriendly and we will never come here again!!!

The menu in the restaurant did not correspond to the one in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the conditions were very inattentive - two guests had to come in from outside because they were not served. My father-in-law ordered a cordon bleu with gruyere - it was Emmental. It's a real shame we won't be coming back

This is Austria/Bavaria in the middle of Switzerland! The dishes were very tasty. There was a bit of a wait because the restaurant was very busy. But I liked it there!

Basic place for the family. Good beers and dishes. Well plated good portions. Medium prices.

Unfortunately the worst cordon bleu I have ever seen and tried. Even the chicken cordon bleu from the freezer tastes much better. It is questionable how such a restaurant can even exist. Never ever again in life. You learn from mistakes. I would advise anyone to try it. The meat was HARD and the taste was disgusting. One bite from the left, one from the middle and into the trash! The fries were even better, although the oil they were bathed in certainly wasn't fresh. I allowed myself to be seduced by the questionable reviews and even ordered the large one. Unfortunately, this is not sustainable. Sorry dear restaurateur for the criticism, but that's not possible!

I ordered a 1.5 liter bottle of Cola. This cost me CHF 18.00 quite a tear. For that * The waiter was kind of weirdly arrogant for that** The schnitzel (bomb) was super good. For that ****(*) Since the schnitzel was so great, I would like to come back. I can adjust to the waiter's behavior and order a glass of tap water. I'm already excited to see how much it costs🤣

Very very good food. The schnitzels are highly recommended, tender and delicious, they literally melt in your mouth. The fries were supper and the sweet potato fries were awesome. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The service is ecxelent, friendly and polite, they joke with you and make you laugh. It is very cozy and nicely decorated. All around a top restaurant. Always my pleasure.

The schnitzel is very good, unfortunately the same cannot be said about the Cordon Bleu. It had too much cheese that wasn't even completely melted for me. It's also a bit hectic with all the love services waiting in the restaurant.

At lunchtime we ordered the daily menu with cordon bleu and my husband ordered a Wiener schnitzel. Everything was prepared with a lot of love and yet at a great pace, perfect for lunch. Homemade croutons & fresh chives in the soup. At the first cut the cheese ran out of the cordon bleu. The schnitzel was crispy. Price-performance is unique. Then I realized that I actually wanted to take photos. But it was so good that I forgot about it. The meat is not frozen but fresh from the Angst butcher, you can tell. An apple pie and a coffee for dessert and we are two happy guests.

I had just ordered a cordonbleu with fries via Uber Eats and the cordonbleu tasted like it had been put in the deep fryer from the freezer. The cheese (is that really Gruyere?) hadn't melted, the meat was strangely dry and tough and without any taste. The french fries had been squished into a loose ball in a package. The frying oil tasted strange. Next time I'll go to Rollis Steakhouse and order a Cordonbleu there for a comparable price. Sorry, but no sorry. The quality has to be right in the price range.
