The owner Gloria is a sweetheart on two legs. She had just closed her restaurant but welcomed us with such kindness. The food was excellent as well as the wine. I highly recommend it. Thanks again Gloria

Restaurant that smells bad, you feel like you're asking for the moon when you ask for fondue without beer. Respecting everyone's beliefs shouldn't be so complicated...

The food is amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The staff welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel like family. In a trip filled with amazing experiences, my dinner here stands out: sitting around the table late at night with the server and the chef, sipping genepi and talking about everything they love about their city. What an amazing place full of incredible people!

We had lunch in this place today, it must be said that we didn't have a reservation... the place is very small, but all in all it was good, welcoming atmosphere and friendly waitress. Typical quality food and generous portions, correct prices! We will definitely return if we pass through Montreaux again.

Quiet and cozy restaurant, excellent service from the waiter, he explained the menu to us and recommended us to order. Excellent fondue and at a very good price. I recommend it 100%. And on top of that they speak Spanish! If you come to Montreux do not hesitate to visit this restaurant.

This coffee restaurant is incredible, the food was delicious, the price was very good and the quality and flavors were the best in the place. The super familiar and close atmosphere is worth going there. Plus, they speak Spanish if you come from Spain or Latin America gives you life.

Beautiful little restaurant in the old town. And the fondue was super delicious. In addition to bread, potatoes, cornichons and pearl onions were also served They were actually full, but they still made it possible and cleared a table for the two of us so that I and my former English host mother could. The price-performance ratio is also great. I would love to come back when we are in Montreux again.

I had dinner here on my trip to Montreux. It was very close to Hotel Tralala. The curry I ate was very delicious and so was the draft beer. The male server(aww...sorry, I forgot his name;;) was extremely nice and friendly. He let me know some French, magnificent and nickel. I highly recommend this restaurant:)

Excellent address nestled in the heart of the Old Town. You can trust the establishment’s ratings without hesitation. The dishes are very good and undoubtedly homemade, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Many thanks for discovering the famous “religious” at the end of the fondue and for the various dishes offered in addition (notably the excellent gratin) to our dishes. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here.

We ate at Café du Grütli during our vacation and my partner and I were very well received. The fondue was delicious, the welcome was very warm: we felt like home! The waitress even took a photo of us in front of the establishment so that we could keep a souvenir of our time here. Thank you again for this pleasant meal, we hope to come back to see us during our next stay in Switzerland!

A wonderful spot up in the hills of Montreux. Excellent summer salad and great fondu.

While looking for some cheap fondue, I went deep into the hill. We were the only customers, and it felt like a neighborhood restaurant. The view... is just an alley. The owner didn't speak English, but she was very friendly, telling me how to eat it through her body language and refilling the potatoes for me. Fortunately, the young male staff member spoke good English, so there were no problems with basic communication. The simple cheese fondue was 24 francs, and the representative(?) fondue with ham and dessert was 39 francs per person (as of July 2023). We ordered two servings for 39 francs. I've heard that the smell of Swiss fondue is a bit off-putting, but the cheese at this restaurant doesn't have a strange smell and is savory. But overall it’s too salty! Both the ham and cheese were a bit salty for Korean tastes, so I couldn't eat them all. Fortunately, the potatoes and bread suited my taste. I tried neutralizing the salty taste with side dishes such as pickles, something similar to rock kyo, walnuts, fruit, etc., but it didn't help much... Besides, pickles are salty again! In the end, I ordered two drinks. The side was a snack that consisted of crumbly cookies spread with cream and berry jam. It wasn't that sweet and it suited my taste. Still, I think it is a good restaurant where everyone is friendly and the food is prepared with great care.

Nothing more to say, great place. Very good quality meal, price👌... Pleasant, very very good address... And apart from mass tourists, there is not a number on the table, each customer is served with great care... Thank you 🤩, this ends our Via Alpina well.

This is THE spot to eat in Montreux! The food is absolutely delicious (the fondue, pasta with mushroom, perch, and salad) and the staff are so unbelievably friendly! Felt like we were old friends eating in their home! Highly highly recommend!

I highly recommend this local restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the prices are affordable. We ordered the beef fried hot pot (limited to two people), which was served with salad and bread first, followed by French fries (whole potatoes cut into strips), which were all surprisingly delicious. There is a lot of meat in the hot pot, it is very tender and has no fishy smell (it is recommended that the heat of the hot pot should not be too strong, otherwise the outside will be burnt and the inside will be too raw), and it is great with thyme! The 3 kinds of dipping sauces and vinegar-pickled onions all tasted great. I had 2 kinds of desserts after the meal, and the maraschino cherries were super delicious! Every meal we ordered was great, and we were very filling. The gentleman at the next table seemed to be a local, and the meal he ordered also looked delicious, including the appetizers of raw ham, cheese, melon salad, and cheese hot pot. , another dessert with a large portion, but he could easily finish it by himself.

If you're ever in Montreux, do yourself a favour...

Very cozy place up on the hills. I came sort of early on a weekday and ended up being the only person to dine there my entire meal, but I was fortunate to have the company of Lulu, the cat who lives there! I had the tasting which consisted of the charcuterie board, cheese fondue and dessert. I assume it was meant for two people because I struggled to finish everything, but tried really hard to finish it. Everything was lovely and would come back again if I’m in Montreux in the future.

Lovely place, outside the casino of the markets, a few steps from the Tralala hotel where we slept. They know various languages, they have a simple but complete and very tasty menu. We were welcomed with love and warmth as if we were family. The prices are excellent and the owner is a sweetheart. The guys are nice and the atmosphere is really festive. Very small place with a welcoming atmosphere and typical Brasserie menu. We appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the presentation of the dishes we consumed. The only flaw was that the initial waiting times were a little long. Friendly and very helpful staff.

I absolutely recommend it to anyone passing through Montreux and wanting to eat typical dishes, such as cheese fondue (very good), in a very relaxed, informal and non-touristy atmosphere. Amazing from a to z, The fondue was delicious, we enjoyed ourselves (possible to have it without alcohol on request) Largely sufficient in terms of quantity, the welcome was exceptional, we felt at home. The place is quite hidden, access it on foot preferably. One of the managers did us a huge favor by going out of her way to find us a place. She was adorable I recommend this place with your eyes closed if you want to eat a real fondue and have a pleasant time thank you for everything

Incredible fondue!!! Don't miss walking to this restaurant, it is 10 minutes from the coast, but it was fabulous!!!!! We ate fondue and a board of very very good cold cuts!!! The owner is very kind and concerned that everything is fine!!! Family atmosphere I felt at home!!!!

If you want to try the best fondue in Montraux in a warm and familiar atmosphere and at a reasonable price, this is your place. It is an authentic and familiar place, not the typical tourist place with high prices and poor service. Gloria and her husband took great care of us. Highly recommended! These places are the ones that deserve our help after these two very difficult years. Many successes.
