Super attentive and lovely staff and very, very tasty food! We tried our way through the menu and everything was very good. Great cozy atmosphere with quality cuisine! We would like to come again.

We were there today and it was first class. Great ambience alone. Very tasty food and very friendly staff. Lovely again. The negative reviews are incomprehensible to us We recommend the harbor bar without reservation.

Came in for a bite to eat (lunch) +Decor, love the wallpaper, dark wood & coastal theme +Fish'n'chips portion for lunch was just right &tasted very good (almost like home,Scotland) - not sure what's going on with the staff. I wanted to pull Obelix aside and do a wooozaaa exercise. His running around, hectic demeanour was not a good look! The new guy was doing his best, not sure how new he was. Not sure if they have a system in table numbers, but he didn't seem to know 😕 shame. Hopefully, that gets straightened out, new guy was so friendly too! And if Obelix takes a chill pill, it'll be even better 👍🏻

😃 Us. My friend from Zurich and I, visiting from the Ostalb, were here in the Haddock in March in cold and rainy weather to warm up and despite the season we were looked after in a friendly and courteous manner. We'll definitely come back when the mood is right in the summer. The ideas, including the collection of creative sardine cans and the flair and ideas of Christoph, the managing director, for this very special harbor pub🥰 are great. Summer is definitely going to be mega 😍. We wish you much success for the coming season 🥰

I only drink draft beer so I don't know much about the food, but they are very friendly. The atmosphere is also good. Draft beer tastes good too.

Very impressive, consistent service despite 13 full tables and only 2 people in service, speed and friendly at the top level despite the stress, food was perfect, I've eaten several times and have always received friendly service and rarely have to be patient, especially when I When I ordered food, it often arrived quicker than expected, unfortunately most people only come to drink and are usually not aware of the wonderful cuisine there is, although it is sufficiently presented, and the company and guests also appreciate the beautiful surroundings Shapes are flawless, it's easy to have entertaining conversations with service and guests, and the view on the terrace is worth its weight in gold.

Waiting times extremely long. Sat at the table and waited 20 minutes until we could order. When we ordered we waited another 20 minutes. We had to ask for an INVOICE 3 times. We happened to be in Brunnen and wanted to have a drink. I don't come here anymore and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

A small and fine restaurant by the lake in Brunnen. Sunday lunchtime: Full house and the terrace was also well attended despite the hairdryer. The food looked great and the guests seemed happy too. We tried a few cocktails and mocktails. Plus something from the tapas menu. It was very delicious. The service was friendly and personable. We would like to come again.

After a hike, the three of us spontaneously went to Haddock for dinner in the evening and were very happy with our choice. The Vegi-Pinsa (similar to pizza, but with a lighter, warm dough that is only cold topped after baking) were very rich and tasty and the "fitness plate with albeli" (fish) was also well received. We felt welcome. You can feel that the food is prepared and served here with passion. This not only applies to the quality of the food, but also in other minor details a subtle personal signature can be seen. In any case, I will definitely like to stop off at Haddock more often in the future after I have climbed somewhere through the mountains around Brunnen!

Good food in a nice atmosphere! I had lunch and even though there were a few guests there, I was served quickly and didn't have to wait long for the fresh food. Very friendly and well-positioned staff, which is no longer a given in the catering industry. Value for money (with salad and drink) very reasonable for what you get. I'd love to come back.

Magnificent place by the lake, delicious cocktail. We had a snack at lunchtime, each dish was good and we had a great time. We had a cervelas salad, fish and chips and a pinsa. The value for money is correct

We had a good time here at Haddock, very friendly staff! We just arrived in Brunnen after a long drive from Holland. I had a mojito and they made my son a virgin mojito so we could have a cocktail together, we loved it! Really good, we will be back soon for dinner. Thank you so much!

Nope - bad, bad, bad! Mojito is here: Pre-made sugar water (as the waitress stated after the complaint) with 3 ice cubes (not crushed ice and not lime) and rum and a mint leaf floating on top. The young waitress responded to the complaint quite nicely, but the manager became unreasonable and arrogant. He was in no way willing to compromise with regard to the complaint. I then followed my father's motto "The wiser one gives in" and paid for the poor performance without any further debate. It's a shame that we have to put up with something like that in Switzerland. Such companies and the people they represent are not a good reflection of our region. This hurts my heart because I love our region! People, spend your money in better places! PS: I have never published a negative review in my life, but in this case I think it is more than appropriate. In the spirit of all locals and all very valued guests.

Very pleasant place close to the lake. The value for money is correct in my opinion compared to what I took. The only downside is that you don't necessarily speak any other language apart from Swiss-German/German and English.

Really nice place. The waiters are friendly, chatty and welcoming. Good beer list or cocktails. I can highly recommend the local fish dish (the fish is caught in the lake during the night ... So more fresh is impossible). Deserts are really good too (the cheesecake is very good). Very impressed with the kitchen. The seats are comfy too. Easy parking space in front. Well deserved 5 stars.

We were wondering why the rating for this restaurant was so low. Because everything tasted wonderful and the service was also super good. The manager gave me the explanation. Apparently this was an act of revenge by a former employee who asked his friend and employee to write a bad review. It's best to visit this restaurant and see for yourself the quality of this pub. Welcoming restaurant with a beautiful view, the food was good, the huge wiener schnitzel was unfortunately extremely dry, but the service could be better. The waiter prefers to take care of regular guests rather than others. We wanted to order another aperol spritz but no one from the service came and we only got the bill for 30 Getting it minutes later than when we ordered it wouldn't be a bad thing if you weren't sitting in front of empty glasses for ages, you noticed that the regulars were preferred, which was a shame

Small café with a view of the lake and close to the jetties of the Vierwaldstätter boats. Paid parking. We initially planned to eat there. A drunken Swiss man who said he had been a pilot and insisted that it stayed dry - 10 minutes later it was pouring rain - and a waiter who showed no interest stopped us from doing so.

Super cool location. Were there in transit. Fulfilled all of our wishes and we were more than happy. Beach and summer holiday feeling.

Good sitting on the terrace. Although it is by the lake, it will not have an attractive view. On the other hand, the service was helpful, we had a good drink, ate and watched life around.

Had a great lunch here. Not sure why the reviews for this place is so mediocre - it almost put us off going. But I was craving a good (haddock) fish & chips like in the UK and decided to give it a go. My fish and chips were delicious, the haddock fish dish of the day was great and a good kids menu too. I had a good Hugo 👍🏽 not always the case. The table beside us had a schnitzel and it looked great. Great view onto the lake with the ships coming in, service was lovely. I would most definitely come back the next time I am in the area.

Yesterday we took a tour around Lake Lucerne and stopped here. Very nice staff, attentive service and very nice and tasty ice cream sundaes. Special requests no problem! Strawberries 🍓 that were really ripe. I was thrilled and thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this Sunday so sweet for me.

The Haddock Fries were delicious only the Wienerschnitzel was as thin as a postage stamp

Loved this place. The service was great and our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful when it came to translating the menu. We had the fish and chips the crab ragu the veal schnitzel and the cheesecake and it was all delicious.

We had to wait a little but the food was great. The service was very understaffed that day but the quality of the stay didn't suffer.

We almost missed this, having first focused on places with more and higher reviews, but I cannot imagine a better place for dinner or a substantial lunch. The cook's way with herbs and other flavorings is outstanding - an aioli soup, a light minestrone sparked with tarragon, a pinsa (flatbread) with mozzarella, tomato, and sparkling roasted veg, and for me the amazing fischchügeli pastetli - tasty fishballs in delicate puff paste cups with a light cream sauce...PLEASE try them. The service was terrific and readily multilingual (German, English, French and Italian all in play). The menu is quite pescatarian friendly - risotto with calamari, a "fischpott" of haddock, potatoes, parsley and white wine, fish n chips, a flatbread with trout, red onions and dill, but chicken and meat alternatives as well. Hearty but very sophisticated offerings, and for those eating outdoors (blankets provided), an awesome view right by the lake. A definite don't- miss.

The atmosphere in this small but fine restaurant is wonderful. Everything is lovingly decorated and furnished in the style of a harbor bar, many dishes are related to water creatures, but there are also excellent meat dishes. The cuisine is excellent and places great emphasis on first-class, fresh products. The moules frites are particularly delicious. In summary: First-class location, great food, fantastic wine selection, best address in the area!

Been to Haddock for the second time and had an excellent meal. The service was again very friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is top, which is why I think the prices are absolutely justified. Despite the long journey from Zurich, I will definitely come back.

This restaurant never had an excellent reputation. Now my colleague told me that the restaurant was run by a new owner/tenant and that's why I gave Haddock another chance and was absolutely positively surprised! On Thursday there is Tapas a Discretion. But it's not like everything comes in the middle, but is served one after the other and you'll be surprised by what comes next. I have eaten tapas many times in my life and I can say that this is by far one of the best restaurants in Switzerland for it. The dishes are classic but newly interpreted and prepared. (I think I had the best croquettes in my life) There are also classic dishes on the menu, but here too the preparation and composition is unique. (Not what you would expect from a harbor restaurant) The new ambience is also absolutely tasteful and successful, as well as excellent service on site. As you know, I am very critical, but I will definitely return to this place! A great experience through and through and can only be recommended. Ps: there are fewer restaurants in Brunnen than in Zug, but the percentage of exceptional quality is significantly higher here, which you wouldn't actually expect.

Yesterday I spontaneously went to Haddock with a friend and we agreed. A great place and a really cool atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive. The game terrine was a hit, as was the meatloaf. A cool concept that is consistently implemented here. I would love to do it again!

Very comfortable and the price is fair.

Ordered potatoes there last week. Didn't get through and was put off. I had to wait almost an hour for the potatoes and then couldn't eat them. Pure scandal shop and you have to pay 25CHF for it. The location is the only thing that is bearable here.

Top location with wonderful views. Our food (risotto and vegi pinsa) was good and the portion was large. Particularly noteworthy: The two waitresses were very attentive and super friendly!!! We felt completely comfortable. (PS: Given the location, it may be crowded at times - then enjoy the view and stay relaxed, the team is really nimble and very attentive)

The food isn't bad, the staff is rude and doesn't know how to do their job properly, that's the only reason why I give 1 star.

Great concept, cool idea with the starters. For 25.00 per person you'll get plenty full and the dishes and sauces are super tasty. I don't understand the people who complain about the price, the price is more than good and the location is beautiful. I can only recommend.
