Excellent place in Zurich to have a beer and have a good time, alone or in company, the service is good, it is a typical place in Switzerland, a little away from the touristy, ideal for getting to know more about the inhabitants of Zurich

Funky nautical themed dive bar in Zürich with a killer beer selection; some serious can and bottle selection of extremely hard to find beers. Had a peach Berliner Weiss! Definitely worth a stop when you’re walking through town!

Nice little hole in the wall pub, drinks only, but Cartel is just next door so no issue to grab a bit if there before 9:30p. Great beer selection, busy, and dark, doesn’t get better than that!

Lovely neighbourhood bar open until late in the night. Good selection of drinks, best music I heard in a bar in Zurich and very quaint atmosphere. Loved it and would definitely recommend the place.

A visit to this "bar" is definitely not recommended. The guy (bouncer) in front of the bar staring at his cell phone is extremely unfriendly and tends to make customers/visitors go further than visit the bar. Ambience very special, dark and old.

This is a classic bar in Zurich. They have a "sailor" or "maritime" style. It's a nice atmosphere and that's all.

Finally - a small craft beer bar in Zurich that's warming and inviting to sit in for an evening! The nautical theme is on point and well executed and their taps and cans are a great selection. This past week managed to get a Verdant on tap I havent been able to come across in the UK yet! Prices aren't silly either and staff are friendly.

The stated opening time "Sat until 2 a.m." seems to be aimed more at the bar staff than at the customers: you are turned away 1/2 hour in advance by the bouncer (?) saying that "the only way is the way out". We couldn't even say hello...

One of the nicest bars in the city. Cool interiors, great atmosphere, good beer/drinks and music. There is also live music sometimes.

Nice cozy pub with Turbinenbräu on tap + one craft beer from England. Fortunately about 20-30 cold bottles of Swiss craft beer in fridge. Biggest advantage - near of main train station, so suitable for waiting for next journey. Service is very fine and smiling :) Glad to visit :)

Great place!! Very nicely themed in a nautical style - you can find many details that are reminiscent of a ship or harbor. There is a large selection of different types of beer. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Admission was regulated in an exemplary manner, and the protection concept was consistently adhered to (both for guests and staff).

I was there with my colleagues from college and was put off. Whew - you're supposed to feel good there? I'm used to a different level of comfort. And the Kafi Lutz that I ordered as an alternative to the beer was just pure sugar - for 6 francs! No, never again and not recommended.

Hafenkneipe is a bit of Germany/Hamburg in Zurich, they have a nice rustic atmosphere, friendly staff, a good variety of drinks and especially beer for average zurich prices. Also they have live music somewhat regularly. So if you're in Zurich and want a nice but not posh night out, longing for good beer, Hafenkneipe it is!

Place was very quiet/empty bit cosy. So nice place to just have a chat. Went on a Wednesday around 5:30, left around 7:30..

A "real old Spunten" - or decorated exactly so that I had that feeling :) Friendly service at the bar and pleasant guests. Prices seem okay to me. Every now and then there is a small bowl of salt nuts with the beer :)

A top bar in Zurich. They have a good selection of beers and nice staff and the atmosphere is usually quite busy but still relaxed. It's great for after work drinks or a drink before you go out or also for concerts! Keep an eye out on their upcoming events since there are usually really good but unknown bands playing and you can enjoy a great gig or two.

We wanted to have a drink on Tuesday evening at around 7 p.m. when a man stood at the entrance smoking and barked "hello" at us. We assumed he was a guest and wanted to pass him. Then he became quite unfriendly and said "I'm not just here for fun. You have to pay an entrance fee tonight, there's a concert taking place. You know that." Well, as a foreigner you don't know about every single concert in every bar... And as a bouncer you should perhaps act a bit more professionally. Then there wouldn't have been any confusion. We moved on and will not be visiting this bar in the future.
